Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - this is a big apartment!

3. Yes, we have the body here.

4. As we find, there is rather a complication of disturbances which prevent the better normal physical functioning.

5. We find that these have to do primarily with the assimilating system and the eliminating system; though the effects from these upon the locomotories, owing to conditions previously existent, are indicated.

6. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2180].

7. In the blood supply there are the indications of a disturbed assimilation. We find that this arises from after effects which disturb the flow of gastric juices at the time digestion should take place.

8. As congestion existed through the duodenum, because of cold and inflammation, there are still the effects of hindrances to a balance being produced in the lacteals - or that portion of the system which keeps the flow of the gastric forces. Or, the acid and alkalinity is unbalanced; especially under certain conditions or foods.

9. This causes a disturbance through the digestions; also gas pressures as well as disturbances through the eliminations, that are already clogged by conditions which have been gradually formed - as the stiffness, or accumulations or salts or activities from the system's drosses, about the locomotories.

10. Hence not only the alimentary canal, or the colon and central portion of jejunum gives distress at times, but there is a great deal of disturbance across the small of the back and through the sacral area.

11. In the nerve systems we find that pressures are produced with cause acute conditions to arise at times, from conditions which primarily existed in the balance in the pelvic bone.

12. Here we find, with this acidity, that in the attempt for locomotion these pressures give a great deal of distress and disturbance.

13. These are the complications that arise, and one becomes as a contributory cause to the other; thus producing the greater distresses through the body.

14. In a general manner, however, the organs themselves are not organically disturbed - only functionally, through the reflexes from those disturbances indicated.

15. Then, in making applications that as we find would be the most helpful - these would have to be kept rather consistently and persistently, but would remove the complications, aid in re-establishing a better equilibrium, and also the adjustments to better conditions would enable the assimilating and eliminating systems to become much nearer normal; thus bringing better forces for this body, [2180].

16. First, then, we would begin with a consideration of the diet:

17. The only meats taken would be small quantities of fish, fowl or lamb, and these NEVER fried.

18. No fried foods of any kind.

19. Take an ounce of carrot juice EACH DAY. Use a juice extractor to obtain the juice from fresh, raw carrots. Take this each day for at least a month, then leave off for a week; then begin all over again.

20. The combinations of starches and sweets should not be made or kept in such a way as to upset the digestion.

21. About thirty minutes after the heavier meal each day (whether this is morning, noon or evening meal), take half a teaspoonful of ALCAROID; dissolved first in a small quantity of water, then the glass filled and taken, then filled again and taken.

22. Also, other than this, drink at least five to six glasses of water each day.

23. Into the sacral and lumbar area each evening we would massage all that the body will absorb of an equal combination of Mutton Tallow (melted), Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor (say, a tablespoonful of each of these, thoroughly mixed together). Massage this over the hips and the whole of the sacral area.

24. Then, while this is being absorbed, apply a saturated solution of Epsom Salts, as warm as the body can well stand.

2180-1 Page 3

Let this saturated cloth or towel remain on until it is almost entirely hardened - or for half an hour to an hour.

25. The first combination to be massaged is to stimulate - by penetration - the areas that are weakened and stiffened; while the saturated solution is to aid in dissolving the accumulations that cause the catches through the areas.

26. Also we would have osteopathic adjustments to relax and to make corrections, in such a manner as to stimulate the eliminations.

27. The local applications as we have indicated for the sacral and lumbar area will aid in relaxing the areas so that the osteopathic stimulations, adjustments and corrections may be the more easily made. Hence we would start these local applications about three days before the osteopathic adjustments are begun.

28. Have at least twelve to fourteen such treatments, osteopathically; then leave off for a month; and then begin all over again - with the rubs, the packs, and the osteopathy.

29. All of these are for the better eliminations, you see. Especially the carrot juice, in combination with the rest of the diet, is to aid in dissolving the poisons and eliminating them. The Alcaroid is to reduce the acidity, and also to aid in eliminations.

30. If there is a disturbance with, or a lack of, proper eliminations - use high enemas rather than cathartics; though such as Alophen may be taken once a month or the like; or small doses of the compound known as Fletcher's Castoria - but this taken in small doses and not to flush the system; for instance, take half a teaspoonful every thirty minutes throughout a whole day - when this is taken, - but only do this about once a month.

31. For the high enemas, use a colon tube, and a salt and soda solution; that is, a heaping teaspoonful of table salt and a level teaspoonful of baking soda dissolved thoroughly in half a gallon of water, body-temperature - or these proportions. This will aid in still better eliminations, so that the activities of the body-building forces will be renewed.

32. Do these.

33. Ready for questions.

34. (Q) Will this outlined treatment correct the difficulty in walking? (A) That is the reason for such applications. We find that not only the locomotion will be aided, but the entire nervous system will be aided.

35. (Q) Any advice as to how I may be of the most help to

my husband and children? (A) Doing these things indicated, of course, the better physical condition will give the opportunities for better mental and spiritual reactions. Keep ever before self that there is to be the fulfilling of that purpose for which the Creative Forces gave the opportunity for expression in this experience; with that purpose and ideal in the prayer or meditation - "Thy will, O Father, be done in and through me!" These will keep the attitudes that will be, in expression, the most helpful.

36. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Osteopath. We would refer you to one who has had experience with following Mr. Cayce's Readings; such as Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., New York City.
