1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2190]. Now, we find there are conditions that cause distress in the physical functioning of the body. These, as we find, are from two distinct causes, and they at times work one against the other, with the applications that have been made for correction of conditions. These have to do with the blood supply itself, and with conditions that are in the physical structural portions of the body.
2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2190] we are speaking of:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find one of the causes in the physical forces, produced first by poor eliminations, with an aggravated condition of catarrh in the head and in the digestive system. This, in the assimilating system, has produced in the blood stream an unbalancing of the leucocyte system, so that the distresses in the cuticle, or where abrasions have occurred and do occur, are an effect of the lymph and emunctory circulation being disturbed by the humor from disorders in blood stream itself; this producing a disorder throughout the eliminating system.
4. The organs of the body as related to blood replenishing or rebuilding become involved in a functional manner.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM - Here we find reflexes or indications of how that, with disorders existent in the blood supply and lesions existent in the cerebrospinal system itself, conditions have been brought in the muscular and the tendon forces as to form a contraction at times, that - from the inability of the blood supply to give the proper nourishment - becomes acute at times; especially in the locomotories and locomotory centers of the body, making reflexes in extremities - as seen in lower limbs, shoulder, and hands at times.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING ORGANS, brain forces are good.
7. The organs of the sensory system show the effect more of the catarrhal condition's effect on the tissues in the head
2190-1 Page 2
and throat, than from even the blood supply; though one may be called an active force with the other.
8. In the throat, bronchi and larynx - these, under the conditions, are very good.
9. Heart's action shows for a disturbance in the circulation, and the administering of that as would ease in the muscular forces has brought an enlargement of the organ itself; though NOT an organic condition; rather the dilution by the use of properties to make for an increased circulation. This, WITHOUT correction, must sooner or later give greater disorder.
10. Digestive system shows for the conditions in the system through the activity of the blood supply, as well as a hardened condition in the upper portion of pyloric end of stomach; though not laceration, not ulceration - rather a thickened or hardened condition from the continual pouring into the system those poisons without eliminations, which come from the soft tissue in throat, nose and bronchi. These come from the effects of the conditions, then.
11. In the liver, here we find an activity increased, until conditions here show for a torpidity from normal activity, though increased under the effects of properties to produce greater eliminations.
12. The kidneys also have their share of the disorders, through being overtaxed in keeping out uremic forces from the system, or natural from sedimentary conditions being forced so much into the system.
13. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions in the present, we will find the conditions may be treated AS a whole - but in such a manner that the applications for one disorder do not disturb that which may be more effective with the other disorders in body.
14. We will find that the use of those PROPERTIES in the system in the form of vibratory forces from without, that will create an equal balance in the blood supply, will be helpful, if there are applications to the system to increase or stimulate the lymph and the capillary circulation towards drainages from WITHIN, and create an equal balance in the eliminations of the body. Prepare as medicinal properties, this:
15. To 1/2 gallon of rain water, or distilled water, add: Wild Cherry Bark.........2 ounces, Sarsaparilla Root........1 ounce, Dogfennel or Mayweed...1/2 ounce, Cincho Bark............1/4 ounce, Prickly Ash Bark.......1/2 ounce,
2190-1 Page 3
Mandrake Root...........10 grains, Buchu Leaves............30 grains. Reduce by slow boiling to 1 pint. Strain while warm and add 1 ounce of grain alcohol, with 1 dram Balsam of Tolu cut in same. The dose would be a teaspoonful 3 times each day.
16. In the activities of the system as these are being taken, we would use the colonic irrigations to cleanse the colon proper; so that the properties taken may be active with the digestive system, as well as the excretory and secretive functioning of the organs of digestion AND assimilation. This will prevent toxins from forming in system, as well as relieving pressure on the kidneys and hepatic circulation; relieving also those disorders in the extremities.
17. Use the MANIPULATIVE and CORRECTIVE measures (osteopathically) to correct those conditions in the cerebrospinal system, ESPECIALLY in the lumbar plexus - or 4th lumbar, the 8th and 9th dorsal plexus, and in the upper cervical plexus - from the 4th to the 1st and 2nd cervical. These we would give as DEEP manipulations at least ONCE each week, to EQUALIZE the system and set up drainages. At least once each week also the low form of ELECTRICAL vibratory forces to equalize the system in the electrical forces of the body will be found to be most helpful. These will be better in the form of the low vibratory rate of the sinusoidal ray, attached in a POSITIVE manner. First attach at the brachial center and at the dorsal plexus center. In the next treatment, or next week when given (and this should be given for at least three minutes - the LOW rate, not the rapid rate), apply to the 5th cervical center and the 4th lumbar center.
18. These, as we find, will be most helpful, and bring a near normal condition for the body.
19. The colonics should be taken at least once each week until eight or ten have been taken. Then they may be given once each two or three weeks. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) Best were the body, during the greater portion of the time, on the citrous fruit diet - with little of the breads, or only the whole wheat or brown breads, and the vegetables and fresh fruits. Keep toward an ALKALINE diet. Little or no meats, though proteins may be taken in the form of cereals AND vegetables that furnish sufficient iron for the body.
21. (Q) How much water? (A) QUANTITIES of water! All the body would drink! Take

water rather as medicine! Well that occasionally those properties in the elm or the saffron be given as an easing for the conditions in the stomach proper. Just a pinch of the elm in a glass of water - this not hot, but not ice cold. The saffron may be made into a tea, about one to twenty steeped for thirty to forty minutes, and a teaspoonful taken in half to three-quarter glass of water. These should be taken at least once each day, either or both of these.
