1. FEM: Now, Mr. Cayce, you are going to sleep. (Pause) Now, Mr. Cayce, you are asleep, and all the organs of your body will function properly. You will please hear me and answer all of my questions. You have before you this afternoon the body of Mr. [2196], ... County, Alabama, at the store of Coleman & Yogle. Now, Mr. Cayce, you will go over the condition of the kidneys, gall duct, liver, stomach and nerve forces, and also give the cause of the abnormal conditions in this body, and the remedy that will restore the organs of this body to its normal action and health, and the length of time necessary for a permanent cure; go over the entire body and give me all of the ailments that you find in this body which I have mentioned, and those whether I haven't mentioned or not.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, this body hasn't many conditions that are abnormal. Most of them are caused by the general debility of the whole system, and those properties that would rebuild the general health of the individual would add to the whole system in such a manner as to help or assist most of the conditions as found in this body. There are many that have to do with the general system. Some specific condition, as those in the cuticle, have to do with the circulation, and in such a manner have they become a part as it were of the system, for the system has so taken on the condition as to reproduce in the system some of the conditions. This doesn't mean that they are entirely malignant in nature, but they are so seated in the body itself as to become as it were a part of the body. The body is inclined to be anaemic in its action of the circulation; that is the blood is watery, as it were, or carries not the consistency sufficient to make the body resist destructive forces throughout. The red blood corpuscles are deficient, as well as the white, yet the resistive force in the white is very good, even better than the rebuilding through the red blood forces. The nervous system is shattered in a way that causes non-resistance from sympathetic forces whatever. The body becoming only

sensitive to the cerebrospinal nervous sensitive forces over the body so far as the physical and exterior forces are concerned, from sympathy of the refractory centers which are controlled thereby, as well as the organs of the system that are under the control of the sympathetic system, in that they function with the involuntary muscular system. The functioning of the organs we find through the brain forces; it is rather of the determination to do to and for self, regardless of the expression of sympathy or excitement expressed by any outside force. The functioning of the liver is not as good as it should be, for we have much through the functioning that shows the inactivity of the liver in its proper manner, the same as sympathetically expressed to the kidneys and to the functioning of the organs of the pelvis itself in the body. The condition through the intestinal tract that has worried the body from time to time is produced from the same condition as exists in the liver, or the non-functioning of the liver causes the condition through the intestinal tract, and at times the condition in the intestinal tract - that is some time back, - the beginning of the troubles with the liver itself. That of the capillary circulation and the emunctories, where we find the abrasions that come and show in the cuticle, also is from bacilla that has been carried in the system, and the system attempting to discharge and to alleviate or to expel from the system these conditions, they break and form in themselves the condition as we have given here, producing a scaly condition to the cuticle itself. We would give to this system those properties that would assist the conditions that exist in the cuticle, and also those that would give the proper incentives to the body, or to the blood supply, and build the body up to meet and combat with the forces in the system. There would be many things that would assist in various ways. We would give this into the system; Wyeth's Iron & Wine, which should be taken as a tonic for the blood forces. For the stiffness that shows at the joints we would give separate and distinct treatments. We would make a compound for the abrasions of this; rendered hog fat, mixed with equal parts of sulphur, with 20% of a solution of Plantain Tea. This would be rubbed on the affected parts night and morning. For the joints - that is the arms, knees and across the hips, we would rub these parts well with bi-carbonate of soda - almost a saturated solution, and heat salt to drive this into the system, so that it will produce lacterial forces to center about the joints and ends of the ligaments, so as to produce better activity to those parts of the body. This will only assist

this body to regain its equilibrium. Plantain Tea is made by the reduction of the plant itself in distilled or rain water, boiled, 6 ounces into 1 quart of water until it is reduced to 1/2 pint. This would be better in this solution in making the application to the affected parts. Do that.
3. (Q) The Doctors claim that this body has eczema; what do you call it? (A) (Repeating question) We have given you the conditions as they exist.
4. (Q) This body is also short of breath, and has trouble in that way. (A) (Repeating question) Pressure of the conditions in the liver on the diaphragm over the lungs produces the shortening of the breath. We have given the conditions that exist in the liver, and this will be relieved by some of the blood forces being removed from this, changing the hepatic circulation by this being taken into the system.
5. (Q) The body wants to know if it will follow this if it will be permanently cured, or not, or will only improve? (A) (Repeating question) We have given the conditions for an improvement and assistance to the body. They will relieve the conditions to an extent. They have been malignant, as we have given, in the system, and parts will remain in the system.
6. (Q) The body thinks it has throat and lung trouble. What causes that, if he has any such trouble? (A) (Repeating question) The condition of the body and throat and lungs we have given, and the conditions we have given describe the conditions that exist in the body, and with this that we have given it will assist the body. Follow the lines that we have given if we would bring an improvement to this body. We are through.
7. Now, Mr. Cayce, you will forget all about this reading you have given. You are feeling fine and all the organs of your body function properly. Now, you will wake up in two minutes just feeling fine and all right, and absolutely free from any headache. e.
