1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2260]. Now, as we find, there is rather a complication of disorders affecting the body, and at times these disorders are in opposition one to another; that is, when ministrations are made, or have been given that would relieve one condition, it works a hardship upon other conditions. Not that the conditions, as yet, as we find, have assumed even alarming proportions; yet in dealing with the conditions we will find that this variation must be taken into account, would we give any permanent physical relief for the body.

2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find evidences of the heaviness with which the circulation is carried on. Hence we have a disturbance in the pulsations of the heart, and a variation in the blood pressure. The pressure and the heart disorder comes from the circulatory system, that is affected by the pancrean conditions - as also affects the kidneys at times; while that as would aid this condition makes for an irritation in the circulation under the present existent conditions - for an irritation not in the internal, but for the capillary and the external, or a variation between the venous blood supply and arterial blood supply or circulation. Hence this heaviness and swelling at times that comes for the extremities. When these are better, then there is more indication of indigestion, and stomach disorders, or liver disorders. The basis for this difference in the metabolism of the system (for we have a variation in the metabolism and the katabolism), in the cerebrospinal system we find these disorders that make for this disorder. Especially do we find same in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th dorsal area. These segmentations here show not only that congestion exists in the area from which the ganglia show their effect and activity upon the organs as radiate from the impulse plexus here, but that there is some

heaviness in these. Some out of alignment, some too close together, some too far apart. Hence this great variation.

4. Now, the effects that are created by these disturbances, and the conditions themselves, are separate - and could rarely be looked for in that area; but were we to bring any specific or any lasting results for the body, these must receive their proper attention while there are being administered any of the properties that would aid in bringing the proper coordinations through the rest of the system - see?

5. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions, we would first have those of the general manipulations, osteopathically given, three times each week, for a period of twenty to twenty-eight treatments - see? When half, or when fourteen treatments have been taken, begin with the use of this, as compounded in this manner:

6. Take 6 ounces of garden sage, dried, and add 32 ounces of distilled water. Reduce this by slow boiling to 1/2 the quantity. Strain and while warm add 15 grains of ambergris, dissolved in 1 ounce of grain alcohol; 2 ounces simple syrup made with BEET sugar, NOT cane sugar. Add this to same. Then add 1/2 ounce oil of Juniper, or - preferably - 1/2 pint of Gordon gin. Dissolve or put in same 1 dram of stick Cinnamon. Shake the solution before the dose is taken, and the dose would be a teaspoonful 15 to 20 minutes before the meals are taken.

7. We would also begin at the same time with the application of the VIOLET RAY, when the TREATMENTS are given - the manipulations, see? beginning same about the 9th dorsal area and going toward the upper portion of the body with the treatment, following out those nerve centers to even the tips of the fingers, to the base of the brain, over the head, around the ear, and use the eye applicator for the eyes; stimulating, of course, osteopathically, all of the circulation to the head before these treatments are given. Beginning at the 9th dorsal center, THEN down to the sacral region, and following along the sciatic nerve and down each limb - see? A treatment for 10 to 15 minutes duration for the whole period.

8. As for the diet, this as an outline - though this may be altered from time to time:

9. Mornings - citrous fruit, with toasted bread - little butter, cereal drink. Occasionally there may be any of the condiments added that may be taken for such meal.

10. Noon - principally the heated (not boiled) milk; that is, sweet milk, or the Bulgarian milk - with brown bread or crackers.

11. Evenings - beware of meats, but more of the vegetable - full vegetable diet, preferably those of boiled onions or leeks; those of potatoes, only the jacket portion of same, not that of the bulk so much. Beans, lentils, spinach, carrots, beets, parsnips, parsley, and all such may be taken. Not too much of those that grow in pods. Rather the leafy or the tuberous vegetables. Those of the raw vegetables, in slaw - or cabbage, or lettuce and spinach and the like, may be taken as a salad.

12. These, we will find, will bring - during this first period - a reduction of the pressure created in the circulation, these tendencies for the fullness and dizziness that occurs; the swelling at times that occurs in various portions of the body.

13. Do that. At the end of the twenty-eight TREATMENT period - not days, but TREATMENT period - we would give further instructions. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) Who would you suggest to give the osteopathic treatments? (A) Somebody that knows how! Especially one that would be in sympathy with the REALIZATION of the variations in the conditions - see?
