Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.C.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2273].
3. Now as we find, conditions are such that there would be rather warnings given regarding the disturbances. For, making for corrections in the present would not only eliminate the disturbances but give those reactions which will enable the body to eradicate these disorders, and thus have the better physical activities through the present experience.
4. We find that these have to do primarily with conditions which have deflected circulation. Thus we find that various organs are involved in the condition; but with the correction of the CAUSES of these, we find that much nearer normal forces and relief would be brought for this body.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2273] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. First, in the blood supply - here we find there are indications of deflections in the circulation. Thus the organs of the heart, liver and kidneys are at times involved in the disturbance. This is produced by the very nature of the deflection. For this has deflected the circulation in such a way as to affect the secondary cardiac circulation. This is primarily from a deflection in the segments of the 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsals; and throughout the brachial center causes repressions that alter the circulation by overactivity to the head - fullness of the activity of the heart; slowing the circulation, producing - through the conditions in the lower extremities - almost the cutting off of the circulation at times to the lower locomotory forces.
7. This gives this heaviness which appears through the area just below the kidneys and above the sacral and through the
2273-1 Page 2
lumbar area.
8. This deflection of circulation produces a character or form of anemia, but the anemia is of the character in which there is the lack of sufficient of the plasm at times to create the coagulations of used forces, or areas where used forces are active.
9. Thus we have a nervous reflex condition.
10. For, the nerve system is the more involved. Thus we have deflections to the nerve forces, from the subluxations in those areas indicated.
11. This causes what may be at times called a sympathetic nervous heart reaction, a sympathetic liver disturbance; the producing at times of even a deflection to the pancreas.
12. Thus we have some sugar indicated not only in the blood but in the general circulation.
13. Hence at times the body finds itself becoming easily tired, at others there is plenty of DESIRE for activity yet the hands and limbs seem to become heavy, tired. Thus there are those deflections to the locomotories through this condition which exists; causing the organs to become involved. However, as indicated, these are of a sympathetic nature.
14. As to the organs in their activity - brain forces and reflexes are very good; though at times there is indicated a deflection in the pressure of the blood supply, owing to these deflections. And this slowing of the circulation causes the condition through the head, and the reflexes especially to the organs of the sensory system; so that at times the eyes, ears, nasal passages, even the taste at times, become as it were subject to the deflections as indicated.
15. All of these, as we have indicated, would respond if there were the equalization of the blood flow and nerve impulse; and would then gradually stimulate better activity through the sensory forces, so that eyes would improve in vision. The indications at times of irritations even to the eyeball or lids, these would change, for there would be the full circulation and eliminations of used energies from the areas.
16. Throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx - here we find at times the body becomes easily subject to colds; though it is as indicated sympathetic, and would be removed by the corrections which we will indicate.
17. The heart's activity is involved with rather the liver and kidneys, as to the areas between the heart AND the liver. This naturally disturbs the upper pole, or the liver, and makes for a hardness upon the kidneys as related to
2273-1 Page 3
eliminations.
18. There is no organic heart disturbance. It is sympathetic, and of the nervous nature; and with the correction of those subluxations which will necessarily have to be gradually done, there may be such adjustments as to allow the normal forces for replenishing and resuscitating of the body itself to perform or do the recuperation.
19. Then, we would make these corrections gradually - in an osteopathic manner. There should be taken a few adjustments, then rest a period - then, after two or three weeks have another series. Then again after two or three weeks have another series; that there may be the proper corrections made.
20. Do not take drugs or injections for corrective measures, for these would only hinder.
21. Through the long period of deflection here, naturally some conditions have been produced in the liver, the pancreas and the spleen; so that at times the body becomes as it were inclined to "give out," - that is, in the pep, in the vitality, and to become affected through the congestion. These, then, must be taken care of specifically in making the adjustments.
22. IF - it becomes necessary to use other measures, then do so - that is, for the eliminations; but in the present we find that only Olive Oil would be given with the adjustments, as will be indicated.
23. For, Olive Oil is an intestinal food, and will tend to make not only for better eliminations but will cause better activities through the gastric flow of the stomach itself; that has at times been slowed, and has caused a burning in the lower portions of the duodenum, and a heaviness around the area just a little towards the center from the liver center, or over the pancreas reaction.
24. But with the stimulation as will be indicated by the adjustments, and the Olive Oil taken, and the proper diet followed, with the coordinating of the nerve forces, these conditions should gradually - not of a sudden but gradually - correct themselves.
25. With the correction of these, we will find this inclination for the activity of the kidneys to be aided in more towards normalcy, and the activities produced by this disturbance in the pancreas will be relieved also.
26. And these as we find would be the applications:
27. First, then, we would begin with a series of adjustments, osteopathically given, in the manner indicated; but rather of the specific nature. Those areas from the brachial center, or from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th
2273-1 Page 4
dorsal are to be gradually raised - not submerged, but raised - by the adjustments that would be made only at every other treatment.
28. Take the treatments twice a week for three weeks, rest for at least a like period, and so on.
29. But during the whole time take at least two or three teaspoonsful of Olive Oil during each day.
30. Also we would take the vibrations from the low electrical forces of the Radio-Active Appliance. This would be applied for thirty-five to forty minutes each day, when ready to retire. The attachments would be to the wrist and the opposite ankle. Begin with the first attachment to the right wrist, the other to the left ankle. The next day attach first to the left wrist and right ankle; the next day first to the left ankle and then the right wrist; the next day first to the right ankle and then the left wrist, and so on circulating the attachments about the body. The attachment would be inside the ankle, you see, just above the ankle bone, where the pulse is felt. This will make for better rest, equalizing the circulation and that accomplished by the osteopathic corrections of those subluxations in the cerebrospinal system.
31. Then the diet - Do not eat any fried foods, at all!
32. Especially have carrots, lettuce, and very green foods; take these freely with the meals whenever practical. At least have some of these once or twice a day. Especially the juice from raw, fresh carrots would be good - better than the cooked carrots; or the raw carrots eaten themselves would be well.
33. Also beets are well. Green beans are good, but these should be well-cooked, and not with grease. Butter and a little seasoning is preferable.
34. No red meats - though fish, fowl or lamb may be taken; but not fried.
35. Beef may be taken occasionally, but more of the broth with the cooked vegetables, rather than the roast or steak or the like.
36. Do these, and be persistent; and above all, drink plenty of water every day, that there may be a flushing of the kidneys, so that the uric acid and the poisons that have been as accumulations may be removed.
37. Thus we will find the pulse and the pressure will be normalized, and the ability of digestion will be improved; also the conditions with the eyes, ears and taste will all improve - and the body will have many, many years of life in this experience.
38. Ready for questions.
2273-1 Page 5
39. (Q) What is the condition of the teeth? (A) Naturally from a slowed circulation there are many that need local attention. Take care of these.
40. (Q) Any symptoms of cancer? (A) None whatever!
41. (Q) Will I be able to continue my present work for five or ten years? (A) For eight to nine years, yes.
42. (Q) Is it possible for me to get into another type of work that would be better for my health? (A) This type of work is well for the health, just so there isn't the overstraining of self at any time. The burning sensations which occur at times internally, and the effects had upon the organs indicated, are from those very conditions which we have described. These then need, as we have indicated, the precautions. Do as has been outlined, and we will find many years of a useful service in this experience.
43. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (2 copies, 1 for the osteopath chosen) " " Ass'n file (Let us know the name of the osteopath you choose, so we may put him on our mailing list. We would refer him to the following osteopaths - and many more throughout the country - who have had good results from following suggestions in Mr. Cayce's Readings: Dr. Curtis Hudgins, Bankers Trust Bldg., Norfolk, Va., Dr. M. L. Richardson, Bankers Trust Bldg., Norfolk, Va., Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., N.Y. City., Dr. Richard H. Still, Still-Hildreth Sanatorium, Macon, Mo., Dr. John R. Thompson, Industrial Bk.
