Born December 17, 1883 [1882 - see 2280-1, Par. R2], in Baltimore County, Maryland. Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '37 - anxiety, mentally - '30 - again - '20 - changes - '12 - yes - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as [2280].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these are chosen from same with the intent and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; giving those helps, influences, conditions which may assist the entity in understanding its purpose for being in this present experience - and that it may, with the opportunities and the experiences, be that for which there was the intent and purpose of seeking expression at this particular period.
5. As we find, no one enters by chance - but there is a pattern, a purpose; and the experiences, problems, hardships, activities in every phase of the experience, are in order that each soul may be an expression of that it, the soul, has chosen as its ideal.
6. Without respect to the urges latent and manifested, we find these as a pattern - as might be said - of the entity's experience, latent and manifested.
7. One endowed with abilities to direct or guide others.
8. One who, without respect to the environs, will influence
2280-1 Page 2
many - though at times others have the feeling as of domination rather than of cooperation.
9. These become then as patterns that must be used or directed properly in the experience, that the activities and associations with others may be as an ensample of what the entity would have others be toward self.
10. The fields of interpretation of writings, or pertaining to the arts, are the outlet for the entity in its expression.
11. Also those activities having to do with groups and individuals of many varied experiences become opportunities for the entity to be more as the leader, the one influencing in the affairs of others toward that which is a constant developing towards spiritual things, spiritual aspects.
12. The astrological urges, as we find, at times appear quite at variance to what would be termed the purely astrological aspects. For, the material sojourns in the earth have been the greater influence in the experiences of the entity during this particular sojourn.
13. Then, we find that the entity is one more or less of an emotional nature, giving way or giving expression to the intents and purposes of the emotions. However, these have been and are oft controlled in such a manner that they do not override the deeper spiritual purposes of the entity.
14. For, as may be indicated - no urge - whether astrological, mental, environmental or what not - is greater than the birthright of each soul - the will to do, to be, that which is the chosen path, or ideal, of the entity.
15. Thus it may be given to this entity - know in Whom, in What, ye have believed. Then, with that as the ideal - in the mental, the spiritual, the material relationships - let it be not only as a preachment or pronouncement to others, but as an activity of the self in keeping with same; or, as ye would desire that others be to thee, be thou unto others.
16. This will keep not only the material but the mental and spiritual aspirations, spiritual desires, spiritual undertakings, in keeping with that as ye live day by day. For, as He has given, "As ye would that others should do to thee, do ye even so to them." Also as He has indicated, "Inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of these, my brethren, ye do it unto me."
17. These are not merely sayings - they are law, they are love, they are faith, they are hope, they are charity - in the experience of each soul.
18. The astrological aspects we find coming near to a turn, or the cusps. Hence, as the entity has found, there has been quite a variation in the experience from period to
2280-1 Page 3
period. Some periods have been most hopeful, most happy, bringing into the experience changing scenes, changing environs. Other periods have been such that sadness, sorrow, disappointments have been a part of the experience.
19. These we find not only from the astrological sojourns but as urges latent and manifested by the activities of the entity through the material or earthly sojourns.
20. From the aspects in Venus we find the home loving individual, the home making; the enjoyment of beauty and of every form of art - as music, which is at times that alone which may bridge the distance from the material to the spiritual.
21. The various characters of music, then, are of special interest; and not that which is of the physical or physical-emotional nature - though the beauty of rhythm is an experience.
22. Jupiter makes for the many characters or natures of people, groups and masses with whom the entity comes in contact; and the abilities for the entity to wield an influence upon all those whom the entity meets day by day.
23. Then, let the influence be in such measurements - as we have indicated is the ability of the entity - that there is the continuation of that which has been purposed in the heart and mind (for, Mind is the Builder); that the earth, the peoples therein, may be better for the entity having lived in and with same; that those with whom ye may have contact even in a passing way or manner may be more hopeful, more helpful in their individual niche or environment of life.
24. For, life is indeed earnest, and life itself is the manifestation of God. For Life IS that we worship as God in the earth.
25. Hence, whether ye live, whether ye die, ye are the Lord's. But make those activities, in thy associations, with thy abilities in the fields of activity chosen, so that others may be more hopeful because of their contact or association with thee.
26. As to the sojourns in the earth - these have been quite varied in their expression or manifestations.
27. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, but during those early periods of settlings in the land - when it was necessary for strong-hearted groups of men to set a purpose for determined activity in a new land, that each might worship according to the dictates of his own conscience.
28. The entity was among those hardy groups entering nigh unto the land of its present nativity - then in the name
2280-1 Page 4
Garcia Goodman. In that experience the entity was a home maker - of a large family, and keeping in the directions in which there was builded into the experiences of all in the home and among those groups the necessity of keeping body, mind and purpose CLEAN for the worship of the Creative Forces; that there might be the growth in the home, the purposes, the desires of a peoples - not only as a family but as a nation, as a DETERMINING factor in the affairs of the people of that period.
29. It may be said that the entity gained throughout that period; and we find from same in the present that determination to "get ahead," but to keep the activity in a pure, clean and wholesome manner ever has been a dominant factor in the experiences of the entity through this sojourn.
30. Then, the only warning would be to keep it thus, and to give the credit and the sacrifices where they belong. Know that sorrows, shadows, disappointments, have their place in the experience of each soul. Also know that even though HE were the Son, He learned obedience through the things which He suffered; even as thou, in thy endeavors, as ye draw nearer to Him - not holding grudges, not finding faults, not holding malice, but rather in patience serving a living God!
31. Before that we find the entity was in the courts of the Roman land, during those periods when there was the expansion - when the Caesars were making changes and dividing the various lands.
32. The entity then, as Claudia, was a companion to one given the position as procurator in the Palestine land; and there the entity learned MUCH of those things that were brought as hardships into people's lives - which made even the more determinations to be expressed and manifested in those periods just indicated above - when the entity sought liberty and freedom, but in and through the Creative Forces and not upon the hearts and minds of others.
33. Through that sojourn the entity knew of others' hardships, yet the experience was most pleasant for self in many ways; though the entity THEN suffered in the mental, rather than in the physical, because of the conditions that were viewed about it, and the hard-heartedness of men.
34. Hence in the present experience the entity has oft found itself judging man as to his short-sightedness, or as to his hard-heartedness. These have been and are a part of the entity's experience, and these the entity may learn as lessons from the expressions in those ways in which opportunities are given for expressing hope, charity,
2280-1 Page 5
longsuffering. These are necessary in order to bring harmony of the nature that He spoke of; not as the world knows peace, not as the world knows harmony, but as that peace which comes from being at one with Him.
35. That ye learned under those experiences, though a hard and a sad lesson in many ways. The entity also saw much of revelry, as well as of suffering; much of those manners in which individuals gave expression to the emotions; yet these were oft as condemnings in the experiences of the entity for her own companions or environs through those experiences.
36. In the present the entity finds at times that sorrows and shadows, and changes, have come about by the variations in the associations with individuals of other lands; yet these have also brought at times - and do bring - harmonies in the inner being of the entity.
37. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there was the reconstruction after there had been a coalition of the activities of the Priest, the King and the Atlanteans, as well as the teachings from the Gobi and from the land of Said.
38. The entity then aided individuals in the preparations for the betterment of the race, as well as in the choice of vocational activities.
39. Thus in the present experience there may be those influences latent and manifested in those directions; but the channels through which the entity may find the greater expression are in aiding others to find their place, their hopes, in this material experience.
40. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
41. First, as indicated, know thine own self. For, the answer must ever come within self as to the choices ye make in associations, in activities, in duties, in obligations, in opportunities.
42. But study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the words of truth, and keeping self unspotted from the world.
43. The activities of assisting or directing others are the greater channels. Whether this is done by word of mouth or by group activity, or in writing - in any of these channels the entity may find an outlet for self and that for the greater help for others.
44. Let thy prayer then ever be, "OTHERS, LORD, HELP OTHERS!"
45. Ready for questions.
46. (Q) Please explain why I have had to experience the loss of my two sons, during the last few years.
2280-1 Page 6
(A) As in those experiences when ye gained the greater knowledge of truth, light, understanding, ye experienced and saw many a mother, many a home lose hope, lose help, lose all, ye are meeting this in thy own experience. Let it be rather that as would draw thee nearer, nearer; for Life is a continuous thing. For, as given, it is a manifestation of that we would call God. Each soul meets self. Hence the law, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap." These are not as consciousnesses, but thy losses are those things that make thee in thine inner heart understand, and draw closer to, those who suffer even as thee. And in thy patience ye will become aware of thy soul. And by thy activities with thy fellowmen ye may draw nearer and nearer to the using of that in those ways and manners that endear that suffering in Him - who is the way, the truth and the light.
47. (Q) Can you tell me if my older son, who passed away last May, died of natural causes or was he killed? (A) An accident.
48. (Q) Can I be of any help to my sons now? If so, how? (A) Prayer for those who are seeking a way, THE way to the light, aids ever. As ye meditate - as ye pray - for as thy body is indeed the temple of the living God, there He hath promised to meet thee - then as ye meet Him, thy Maker, thy Lord - pray that there may be the light, the help needed, that they may be guided in that way and manner which will bring all together in the way as HE, thy Lord, would have it.
49. (Q) Can you tell me how they are developing, and what is happening to them? (A) This ye may find the better within thyself. For as ye seek, as ye speak with Life - the Lord - THERE ye may know as to what, as to how they each are developing.
50. (Q) In regard to my physical condition, is it indicated as to what causes the pain in back of my head, and slight deafness? (A) A catarrhal condition in the mucous membranes, and a prolapsus of the Eustachian tube. This as we find may be materially aided through finger surgery.
51. (Q) What causes the pain that appears to be hemorrhoids? (A) A strain in the alimentary canal, and especially to the sphincter center.
2280-1 Page 7
With the osteopathic corrections for the Eustachian tube, where it is being congested by the forms that produce adhesions there, the correction also about the coccyx centers will relieve the tension.
52. We are through for the present.
