Time of Reading 3:10 to 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will have before you the entities [2175] and [2301], present in this room; who seek information, advice and guidance, as to the advisability of selling their home, ..., Va., and buying a small farm near Virginia Beach. Also they seek guidance individually, and as to the welfare of each of their children. You will answer the questions regarding each of these, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the enquiring minds of [2175] & [2301] present in this room; these we have had before.

3. In considering the purchase of farm and such - as we have indicated, much advice or counsel might be given ANY, as well as these; that it IS advisable to prepare to meet problems that are to arise in the experience of most that have those dependent upon them, as well as for general conditions - to be able to produce from the soil that as may be for the physical sustenance of the body.

4. Not that this is to be considered so pessimistically, as that conditions are to be brought about that are to be so terrible. Yet, the needs for such considerations should be taken in mind.

5. It WOULD be advisable to sell, for in the present there could be obtained a good outlay.

6. A farm or small farm with home, in such vicinity as the Beach, would be well; provided there is sufficient of farming or tillable soil that may be made to be self-sustaining.

7. This as we find would have many things that would be in keeping with suggestions which we have made for each, as to their purposes, as to their abilities in this particular experience.

8. To be sure, this will require at times the periods of meditation, the periods of some anxious activities; but the environs would be well - for selves, as well as for children.

9. We would deem such conditions wise in the present.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) Should we paint the home inside and out, and refinish floors, before attempting to sell? (A) This as we find is not necessary, but there might be such consideration with the offering for sale - to make for better connections - if this is desired.

12. (Q) Please suggest preferable localities for farm. (A) As indicated, wherever there is sufficient tillable acreage or land for the individual sustenance. Thus, those activities might be considered as experimental, or as those that would supply the physical needs. That would be the main portion of the consideration. Not a great amount, but - say - two acres, or such an amount. This would be, then, wherever it is considered that the land is best adaptable for household needs.

13. (Q) Should farming supplement [2301]'s present occupation or supplant it? (A) Supplement, NOT supplant. But the character of farming should be, not that so much as the MAIN activity, but sufficient to meet the needs of its own household, and IN same more than supply the needs for MAINTAINING same, see? And the activities should be intensive; that is, intensive farming, see? and the products that are to be preserved, canned, or made into such as to supply not merely for the moment but through season to season. Fruits, small fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and the like.

14. (Q) Considering financial status, what can be done about commutation for children's training? (A) As will be seen, in the vicinity of the Beach there are preparations being made that will supply needed activities for the early training. Later, these may be cared for by the very income FROM such endeavors, see? Let each budget the activities in the directions of caring for same, see? even a pig, a sheep, a cow, chicken, may supply for any ONE - if there is the intent and the intensive activity as is a part of [2301]'s purpose - sufficient to care for the education, the clothing, for the schooling throughout the developing periods.

15. (Q) Should [2308] continue taking dancing lessons this term at Preston's School of Dancing, or should she change to one of the following: Ruth Skelton's, Evelyn Ott's, Sarah Sadler's, or would someone in Va. Beach be advised? (A) As we find, continue in the present for the term. Change then to Skelton's.

16. (Q) Should any or all of the following lessons be added: Music? By whom?

2301-2 Page 3

(A) Yes. This will be better after the move in Virginia Beach, as we find, and will be brought about by those changes that are coming about.

17. (Q) Expression - Elocution? (A) This should come a little bit later, and is a development as may be part of the changes being wrought for the Beach.

18. (Q) Singing? or any other suggestions? (A) These will come with the musical training.

19. (Q) When should [1566] start taking the following: Dancing? (A) This may be begun next season, and would be better in association with the same suggested for that as given.

20. (Q) Piano, singing? (A) This should NOT be begun for another year or two years yet.

21. (Q) Any other suggestions regarding [1566]? (A) As we find, these as indicated are those conditions necessary for present consideration. Of course, as indicated for each, each has the own individual problems - which are to be met as they arise. In the general, keep those attitudes that have been indicated for each.

22. (Q) Would it be well for [2175] to correlate her efforts on writing with her study of the glands? or would it be better to continue the efforts at writing separately? (A) Continue the efforts at writing separately. Later, the study of the glands may be made a part of the varied experiences in the writings, in developing towards spiritual, mental and physical conditions of the characters in that written.

23. (Q) Would it be well for her to attempt to write her experience as Sarah Grossman? (A) This would be very well, but as we find - for the first attempt - write of another, or of some individual where there may be used the second or third person as it is written. And then there may be quite a better outlet in the attempting to write - in the second - of the appearance as Grossman.

24. (Q) Would it be well to keep the housekeeper we now have? (A) Be well to keep the housekeeper you now have. For these associations are WELL for the children in the present.

25. (Q) Any other advice or counsel? (A) Do the first things first, putting the emphasis in the right place throughout the activities of establishing self, the activities for the farm, the activities for home, the activities for self-developing. As will be necessary for
