Time of Reading 3:10 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2315].

3. Now as we find, there are many disturbing conditions to the physical forces of this body. From the analyzing of these here, it may appear that almost everything is the matter. Yet, we find that most of the disturbances are as yet merely symptoms.

4. Then, with the correction of the causes of these disturbances, we may eliminate the symptoms and bring about a near normal condition for this body.

5. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2315] we are speaking of, present in this room:

6. We find that there are glandular disturbances, but these are OVERACTIVE in some respects from the administrations that have been made to produce better activity. Hence these administrations rather than aiding have produced other symptoms.

7. The basic causes as we find are from the unbalanced chemical reactions in the system; and this unbalancing causes an excess in the activity of the thyroids.

8. Thus the disturbances with feet, limbs at times, especially with the cuticle; as splotches, as well as the nails and hair causing disturbance.

9. With this excess, the metabolism is unbalanced. Thus the heart's activity has at times become irregular. This also forces the activities in the assimilating system to produce excesses of sugar. Thus the avoirdupois of the body has not and does not keep apace with the used energies of the body; hence causing too much weight for the general structural portion of the system.

10. The eliminations in a manner become at times the sources

2315-1 Page 2

for excesses of activities, and thus through the lymph circulation and parts in the blood supply we find the sources of the disturbance to the superficial circulation, as manifested through the excess of the glandular reactions.

11. Hence as we find, the glands of the thyroid as well as the pancreas are to be considered in the removing of the sources and the causes of these inclinations and tendencies which exist with the body.

12. AS TO THE APPLICATIONS WE WOULD SUGGEST, then - these would be not a great deal of ANY treatments, other than sufficient to keep a balance in the changes as will be wrought by a very strict and careful diet, which we will also suggest.

13. The medicinal properties, then, will be nil, save those as we will suggest to aid the more in the balancing through those changes wrought by the activities of the system; so that the poisons may be eliminated that have been created by those drugs which HAVE been a part of the treatments for these disturbances.

14. FIRST, then; we will outline the diet, which may seem a little bit strict at first, yet as the body adjusts itself it will be able to carry on in a much more nominal manner than it has been able to do heretofore:

15. Each day take about a pint or pint and a half of grape juice (Welch's preferable). Take three-fourths of a glass of this about thirty minutes before each meal, with one-fourth glass of plain cold water stirred in same; NOT charged or carbonated water but plain water.

16. No fried foods of any kind.

17. Have more of raw vegetable diet. Not that these are to become as burdens to be taken, but this would be as an outline - though, to be sure - it does not include ALL the foods that may be taken:

18. Each meal should be preceded by the grape juice - thirty minutes before time for eating. But this would be an outline for each meal; or for the basis of each meal:

19. Mornings - a dry or a cooked cereal; the yolk of an egg (soft boiled or poached; NOT fried); and corn or wheat cakes may be taken with a little honey or the like. Fresh fruit may be taken with the cereals if desired.

20. Noons - either cooked vegetable juices as in soups or the like, or an altogether raw salad consisting of such as celery, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and the like. All of these when taken raw should be grated, or a little of one or the other may be taken with the raw juices from one or the other of these vegetables indicated - the juice extracted by use of a juicer, see?

2315-1 Page 3

21. Evenings - take a little of one or the other of the raw vegetables as a salad; with baked, broiled fish or fowl or lamb, but NOT any fried. Fruits may be taken as a dessert; preferably raw in all cases. All cooked vegetables should be cooked in their own juices (as in Patapar Paper), rather than with meats or fats.

22. No sweets, no pastries, no white bread, no white potatoes.

23. Of course, milk may be taken, but the malted milk is preferable to the plain milk.

24. Not very much ice cream should be taken; but ICES - as fruit ices or sherbet - may be taken.

25. Coffee may be taken in moderation if desired, provided it is taken WITHOUT milk or cream, using VERY little sugar!

26. Each evening massage the body from the knees to the feet, AND the feet, thoroughly, in a solution made from used coffee grounds; not soured grounds, but fresh - that is, not over a day old after being first used, see? Not the fresh coffee; it is preferable to use the grounds, that have the more tannin in same. Consequently the USED grounds are preferable. Boil two to three cups of the used coffee grounds in about a gallon or gallon and a half of water, you see. Let it boil for at least twenty to thirty minutes. Use the grounds as well as the liquid coffee to do the massaging, you see. The quantity of tannic acid from this source is preferable to using tannic acid in other solutions to massage. And the massaging with this solution, with the grounds in same, will stimulate the circulation. Massage this thoroughly from the knees, downward; over the knees and all the way down, and thoroughly over the feet. This will tend to strengthen and relieve the heaviness in the feet.

27. For the nails, use Camphor and Soda under the points of same, evening and morning. Dampen the plain baking soda with the Spirits of Camphor and apply upon a small tuft of cotton. We would do this each morning and each evening for four or five days in succession. Then leave off for a week. Then do it again. This also will help the condition of the feet. Wet the soda with the Camphor, you see, and put under the nails. This will tend to make the nails crumble at once, or within the month; but then the new nails should come in normally, provided the other applications are kept up as indicated, and the changes wrought in the glandular activity by the diets outlined for the body.

28. We would have a general, thorough massage at least once every two weeks - not necessary oftener; with adjustments osteopathically in the lumbar and sacral areas, of course coordinating the upper dorsals and cervicals with

2315-1 Page 4

corrections made in the sacral and lumbar.

29. When making the adjustments in the lumbar and sacral areas, we would give particular attention to treatment to the feet - both the frontal and back portion of the bursa of the feet; the heel or Achillean heel bursa and those in the frontal portion.

30. About once a month we would have the colonic irrigations. These should be given scientifically. After the first two, which should be at least a month apart, the body may take them herself at home - by using a colon tube. These are to remove from the system the effects of the poisons that are indicated in the system from excesses of activity of the glandular system, and of chemicals or drugs taken.

31. It is well in the beginning of these applications suggested here, that there be taken a small quantity of ALCAROID (quarter of a teaspoonful) after whichever is the heavier meal of the day. Dissolve this amount in a small quantity of water, then stir in sufficient water to fill the glass, then drink another glass of water afterwards. Do this each day for three days.

32. Then after the third day have the first colonic irrigation, as indicated.

33. This - the Alcaroid - may be repeated whenever there is the feeling of heaviness or uncomfortableness after eating, or to counteract gas or acidity.

34. Do these; being persistent, being careful, being consistent with the diet - changing about or altering those things in the diet as indicated; and we will bring much nearer normal conditions for this body.

35. Ready for questions.

36. (Q) Why does my throat hurt when I lie down? (A) Excesses, or pressures in the circulation and the metabolism of the system. After the first colonic this should be ENTIRELY eliminated from the system.

37. (Q) What causes pain around heart? (A) Pressures of excesses in the metabolism, owing to those things taken for activity of the glandular system.

38. (Q) Why did I stop menstruating 3 or 4 years ago? (A) This is another effect of the glandular disturbance, which - as indicated to the body - has turned rather to the producing of weight to the body. This condition will adjust itself, as the general system is brought nearer to normal.

39. (Q) Do I have fallen arches or what makes my feet hurt so? (A) Poor circulation through the lower portion of the limbs. Thus the osteopathic adjustments in the manner indicated. Not fallen arches, but weakened muscular forces.

2315-1 Page 5

40. (Q) What causes the breaking out on my feet? (A) As has been indicated.

41. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do these, and we will bring the better forces for this body.
