1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2320].
3. Now as we find, there are many disturbing conditions which prevent the better normal functioning of this body, but most of these arise from one cause.
4. This was produced first, primarily, from intestinal flu, which has caused first a condition through the digestive system; so unbalancing the lacteal flows as to almost eliminate the digestive fluids.
5. Hence from this we have an anemia, a poor blood supply, little resistance, inability to digest food, lack of proper eliminations, an upsetting of most all of the organs having to do with the activity as related to same.
6. We find that this has not assumed the proportions as to be of a consumptive or tubercular nature, but rather that the gastric flow of the stomach, the duodenum, and the activity of the digestive fluids, is causing the walls of the stomach to collapse in a manner as to almost produce at times the digesting of itself.
7. While such might lead TO a condition of purely a consumptive nature, we find that with care, persistence, a little patience, and being MOST precautious as to diet and as to NOT OVERTAXING THE PHYSICAL RESOURCES OF THE BODY, we may eliminate these troubles and bring about a return to near normal conditions. It will require persistence, patience, and - most of all - CONSISTENCE on the part of the body!
8. First we would give that there be used most always the predigested foods in the beginning. Thus it will necessitate that in six to eight weeks the progress made be indicated through this channel, and as to the failures of
2320-1 Page 2
keeping those suggestions properly - that is, that these may be called to the attention of the body.
9. Make Beef Juice. Keep this on hand; making it fresh every other day. Do not drink it in cupsful or even in spoonsful, but take it a teaspoonful at the time - taking at least fifteen to twenty minutes just sipping same, that it may assimilate with the system - until first a tablespoonful would be taken during a day, and after three or four days there may be gradually increased the amount, until three tablespoonsful may be taken during a day.
10. Then, in conjunction with this, we would have plenty of Grapes; not to overload the stomach, but grapes that are well ripened, and those at this season are well for the body.
11. Have fowl - this preferably made into soups; or the bony pieces cooked VERY, VERY well done, so that the feet, the neck, the carcass, the wings, the bones, may be chewed also, and the juices from same swallowed.
12. Use preferably whole wheat crackers with the Beef Juice, and whole wheat toasted bread with the fowl.
13. Have beans, peas - all of these well cooked, but in their own juices (as in Patapar Paper). Not large quantities of these ever, but take a little at least three times each day - that is, each meal consisting of some of these things here outlined.
14. Do not attempt to eat corn or fruit, or melons; but rather for the next six weeks those foods as here indicated.
15. If there is the desire for sweets, use only honey - and preferably in the honeycomb. This may be taken a little with buckwheat or corn cakes.
16. Use Malted Milk rather than the milk plain, for this will agree much better with the body.
17. After each meal take a quarter teaspoonful (never more than that) of ALCAROID, dissolved first in a small quantity of water, then fill the glass full and drink; then drink another glass of water afterward.
18. If after any meal there are the accumulations or formations of gas, then apply a Grape Poultice over the abdomen or lower portion of the stomach and upper bowel. Roll the grapes - that is, crushing them - and put between gauze, then directly to the body, with heavy cloths laid over same. Keep these on until the grapes have been well heated, or until the juices or acids from same are absorbed by the body heat, see?
19. Even though there may be very good eliminations through the alimentary canal, at least once each week use a high enema - using a colon tube for same. To each quart of water
2320-1 Page 3
used for same (body-temperature), add a heaping teaspoonful of salt and a level teaspoonful of soda. It will be found that mucous will be eliminated, as well as a little of the undigested foods; but these will gradually disappear. However, the enemas should be taken regularly once each week; body-temperature, not too hot and not too cold but body-temperature. These must be taken to eliminate the tendencies for the colon to take or absorb the poisons from undigested or unfermented foods.
20. But taking the Alcaroid regularly, after each meal, will be found to soon cause digestion to take place.
21. After the first week, about once a day take a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth in a whole glass of water. When this is dissolved in the water, add to same six drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin. Do not begin this until the fifth or sixth day of the diets indicated, and the taking of the Alcaroid.
22. Do these, and in six weeks we would give further instructions.
23. Ready for questions.
24. (Q) What causes me to cry so much? (A) One with so much pain, no wonder!
25. (Q) What causes swelling and pain in leg? (A) The lack of the proper eliminations. All of these effects, as indicated, will clear when the digestive forces and the stomach and bowels have been brought near to normal.
26. We are through with this Reading. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Beef Juice. Let us know when you have followed these suggestions in their entirety for six weeks, so we may make an appointment for a Check Reading to give further instructions. See application Blank [which was enclosed] for Check Reading.) g.)
