1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2335]. Now, we find there are many conditions as are disordered in the physical forces of the body. Some SEEM, or apparently are, deeper seated than the proper applications, as we would see, would indicate; yet the conditions are such that, taken in time, may be arrested and may be brought back to a nearer normal condition.
2. For some time, through weakness in the physical resistance, conditions of the blood, fumes under which the body has labored, the body has suffered from those conditions as may have been termed just those of CONGESTION in the mucus membranes of the soft tissue in nostril, in face, in head, until the condition became catarrhal in its nature; that is, the congestion assumed such proportions as to become infectious in itself, yet not so highly irritated as to be other than a detriment to the blood supply and to the general circulation. This weakening in the resistance of the physical body, and in the blood supply, has affected also the membranes of the stomach; until it has become highly acid, which AGAIN reduces the vitality of the body in PREVENTING the proper coordination in the assimilations. The natural consequence, the weakness in the lungs - though, while there would be seen those of spots IN lung, these are rather those effects of catarrhal and of the bacilli of the strept nature, than of tubercular, as yet - though the condition makes the body very susceptible to such conditions. Taking the vitality of the system, worrying the body mentally as to the conditions, the distresses produce, too, poor assimilation and digestion, and a general debilitation.
3. Now, in meeting the needs of these, we will find that these conditions will materially aid, and these may be taken by self and yet be found the most effective, and not NECESSARILY - though it would be better were the body where it could be in perfect rest and repose for some time - not

necessarily away from work; though do not overtax self.
4. Prepare as this:
5. Take 2 ounces of 85% alcohol. To this add:
Eucalyptol, Oil of.............20 minims, Rectified Creosote..............5 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp..........10 minims, Canadian Balsam.................5 minims, Tolu in Solution...............60 minims.
Then add sufficient distilled water to make 4 ounces. Use same in atomizer to spray nostrils and throat, see, twice - at least - each day, before retiring and before leaving for work of morning.
6. Also we would find that it would be well to make a preparation of THIS nature: To 1 ounce of alcohol, add:
Icthyol.......................1/4 ounce, Oil of Eucalyptol..............20 minims, Balsam of Fir..................10 minims, Tolu (preferably that gum)....1/2 dram, Rectified Oil of Turp..........10 minims.
When this is to be used, stir these well together - for they will separate; or shake them well together, place them in a container - small container - place THIS container in water and let the water boil under same. Do not have same arranged so that the steam interferes with the evaporation of the medicinal properties. Breathe this DEEP into the lungs once each day.
7. Keep the intestinal tract active; not SO active as to be diarrheic in its nature, but keep rather an equal balance between the liver and the kidneys. There will be the natural tendency, with as MUCH of the turp as is to be inhaled, of an activity of the kidneys, but this will act as a diuretic for the membranes of the system in cleansing same, so that there will be the tendency of keeping the system more alkalin in its activity.
8. Eat liver - calves' liver - not fried - it may be broiled, or parbroiled - at least three times each week. Use eggs, not with the white, stirred well into malt, as one of the meals; with those of the whole wheat glutens, or whole wheat flour, whole wheat muffins or cakes. These also should be a portion of diet. Fish may be taken in moderation, as may also any of those properties that will furnish both iodine and phosphorus for the system. Keep the activities as near normal as possible. Also we will find,
2335-1 Page 3
that at least TWICE a week, were beef tripe or hog tripe taken as a diet, this will be of real value in blood building, but DO NOT fry same. Milk, but only milk that is warm with animal heat should be taken; not that that is chilled, or that has set in ANY container which has been opened or exposed to where bacilli - either of the milk itself or outside - may have been active with same.
9. These, as we find, will bring bettered conditions for this body, [2335]. We are through.
