Time of Reading 3:40 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., West Va.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; going over the body, examining it thoroughly, and answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2345].
3. As we find, in the main the physical conditions are very good. There are those precautions needed to be taken as to weight, heart activity, and the functioning of the kidneys, - as related to the upper and lower hepatic circulation.
4. These then are tendencies, rather than disease or specific disturbances in the present.
5. As to those conditions resulting from the injury to structural portions of the nose and nasal passage - we find that these should best be eliminated by operative measures; and would thus relieve that tension upon the pressures about the face, the eyes, and naturally the obstructions which arise in the least congestion or cold, when the tendency for the mucous membranes or the bones of the nasal passage to dilate causes disturbances.
6. In the general conditions we would be mindful, as indicated; that there is sufficient of the exercises taken regularly to keep the physical forces of the body well. Have plenty of walking. At times the exercise of horse back riding would be well for the body, but it should be consistent - and kept in that manner. Walking and horseback riding are the best exercises for the body.
7. We find that it would be well to have the full hydrotherapy treatments at least once a month, or oftener, to keep the bodily functionings physically fit; taking the Swedish massage rather than the adjustments, though if the massage is given properly it will keep the adjustments for the general exercises of the body.
8. Occasionally - once a month or oftener - include in the diet the Jerusalem artichoke, so as to have the effect upon the kidneys and the liver; especially if the artichoke is taken one time cooked and the next time raw - one about the

size of a small potato, hen egg or duck egg, or the like. When cooked, it may be boiled and prepared as you would a potato, seasoned the same, etc. Do not take too much of this, nor too often; but this taken regularly will change the activities - in combination with the other actions as we have indicated - for much improvements for this body.
9. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) Advise the present condition of my right eye and what treatment is prescribed for its complete recovery. (A) As we find, this is partially a sympathetic condition from the other conditions as indicated. With the correction of the conditions in the face and nasal passages, we find that the eye condition will be benefitted. The head and neck exercises taken throughout the period of the hydrotherapy treatments, and even afterward, would be well; that is, a few minutes night and morning of the head and neck exercises. But we would not IRRITATE the eye by other treatments, until these corrections have been accomplished in the nasal passages.
11. (Q) Please advise whether Dr. Jacques W. Maliniac of 100 E. 78th St., N.Y.C., is the proper man to perform the operation. If not, who in Huntington or N.Y. is suggested? (A) As we find, he would be very satisfactory. But before having the operation we would consult Erlanger; though we would have the operation done by Maliniac.
12. (Q) After its completion, will my nose assume its normal function? (A) If properly completed and done, it will. And, as indicated, the pressures will be removed that are a contributory cause to the condition of the eye.
13. (Q) Is my present vocation having any ill effects on my nervous system? (A) This as we find should NOT be allowed to have any ill effects. This is a matter of controlling the temperament. And, as has been indicated for the body, for its general physical welfare, take time to play as well as work!
14. (Q) What treatment or diet would you advise to reduce my weight, especially around the abdomen? (A) Those exercises as indicated, that should be taken consistently and regularly; of walking, riding; and especially the hydrotherapy treatments with the Swedish massage. As for the diets - a good stable diet; not too much sweets, not too much white bread - but a regular, stable diet.
15. (Q) Any other advice for the body? (A) As we find, if these as indicated are used and

considered consistently, there will be better conditions physically, mentally; and the general outlook will be improved.
16. We are through for the present. Two copied to Self Copy to Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for a Physiotherapist in your vicinity.
