Time of Reading Route 1, 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: We have the body here, [2354], present in this room. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions for this body. These, as we find, have to do with specific conditions as have caused, and do cause, disorders in the physical forces of the body. Some have been of long standing, and have GRADUALLY grown to be more of a disorder as the general physical debilitations have manifested themselves - from what has seemed at times as minor conditions. The hindrances as these create are in the lymph circulation, in the auditory forces of the body (or hearing), in the digestive forces - as related to the blood supply and eliminations in the system.
2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2354] we are speaking of, present in this room:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we have below normal in quantity and quality, produced much by IMPROPER assimilation, aided in this by the specific conditions as have existed in the lymph circulation, in pressures in the cerebrospinal system, and a general effect of POOR eliminations - where poisons have been allowed to cause destructive forces, or the inability of the body to create sufficient resistances in the system.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM we find specific hindrances in the system which have existed from times back. First there was, in the beginning of disorder, an inhibition of poisons in system through temperature created about throat and bronchi, that brought a condition that prevented the proper flow of nerve energy through the upper portion of body - especially from the cervical and upper dorsal centers was this apparent, and is at the present time. Hence the conditions is auditory forces, or nerve forces in the sensory system, became a gradual decline of responses THROUGH the effect created in the inner ear. This producing a thickening of tissue about the cornucopia in the ear center itself. Not as a disease, but rather dis-ease - as respecting the
2354-1 Page 2
proportionate resounding of those vibrations outside the system. The BODY suffering most from those of pains through shoulders, arms and lower portion of body. In the effects of this condition we have found the lymph disturbance in this portion of body has gradually produced a lesion in the 5th and 6th dorsal area, as has disturbed that of the stomach itself in its ability to produce the proper activity through the digestive forces in same, they have caused, then, more of the hydrochloric reactions than was proper in system; this making for the disorder as related to the liver's activity - especially in its excretory functioning; that is, throwing out that as should form with assimilations in the system to produce a properly balanced lymph in the first formation, preventing the proper reaction through the temperature created IN circulation; not so much in body, as just a low temperature created IN circulation; not so much in body, COLD at times even - this had brought those conditions in the bone portions of body itself, as in the clavicle, in sternum, in portions of the rib and of the upper portions of the rib and the upper portions that form a seat or base for elemental issue of the red blood supply - these being weakened through the disorder, gradually, made for the tendency for there to be adhesions, as well as of circulatory lesions.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces active; sensory forces becoming acute - especially with, and as the disorders showed most in the region of the eustachian tubes and in ear.
6. Lungs, throat and bronchi, show the effect of the depleted circulation, but not an ORGANIC disorder; rather a functional one.
7. Heart's action below the normal in pulsation, yet in the arterial circulation itself enlivened much by the activity of the mental forces of the body itself.
8. Digestive system, as has been indicated, showing the effects of the disorders of the system, making for body lesions and adhesions through the digestive forces, as BRING distresses to the body.
9. In meeting the needs of the conditions, as we would find, would be first to so set up the eliminations in a nominal or normal manner as to create that channel through which the resuscitating forces may be better accomplished. These we would find through those of fume baths, those as would be alternated between the Epsom tub and Epsom sweats, but also those of the iodine and the oil rubs following same; using the colonic irrigation to relieve those of the toxic forces as show accumulations in the colon proper. This would
2354-1 Page 3
relieve those distresses in the hepatic circulation and give and opportunity for that digested to be assimilated in a manner as to produce the resuscitating forces for the body. With the general building up of the physical force we will have an opportunity to RELIEVE much of those pressures as produce disorders in that of the auditory function. While this may be aided and materially benefitted to be near NORMAL again, would hardly be that expected in this activity - though the relief can be made as to be in a much bettered condition. Necessary, while these forces are being altered, in the change - that those manipulative forces make for the proper distribution of nerve energy, and GRADUALLY relaxing these lesions in the lower dorsal, the lumbar, ESPECIALLY in the 6th dorsal, and the whole of the cervical region. We will find also - after drainages and eliminations are set up - the third or fourth week -that the vibratory forces of the wet battery appliance will aid in the auditory reactions. If applied TO the center at which the auditory centers receive their impulse - that is, alternated between the 3rd cervical and the 4th dorsal, adding to he positive pole to the umbilical center. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) How often should these rubs be given? (A) There should be at least two of the cabinet or fume baths, or one tub and one fume bath, every week - see? that is, two baths. At EACH period the oil rubs should be made, or these will furnish the lymphatic circulation - especially if the rubs are made PARTICULARLY of the olive oil, with the alcohol, in the lymph centers - arm pits, elbows, knee, groins, temples and the like - see?
11. (Q) What diet? (A) This would be, as we would find, in the beginning - as of mornings - those of a citrous fruit, with some cereal or little cakes of rice, buckwheat, or the like - but not syrup with same. Honey may be taken occasionally. Any of the cereal drinks may be taken in morning. The noon meals would be preferably of the softer, or of the juices of meats, or soups, or vegetables of the nature that are WELL cooked, - not RAW, in this particular condition. Of evenings, plenty of the oils that will aid in giving food values to the system; not fats, not greases - but oils, as of olive oil, codliver oil, calves' liver, tripe, and such - these would be well for one meal, at least, each day. ALTERNATE same, when these are given, see?
12. (Q) Is is possible that she will hear again? (A) As has been given, with the GENERAL building up of resuscitating forces - this will depend much upon the responses of the body. This may be MATERIALLY aided; NOT
2354-1 Page 4
perfectly normal, but will be MATERIALLY aided, especially will the vibratory forces - as given - be added AFTER the eliminations and drainages in system are set up, for there are will be some SPECIFIC treatments outlined as conditions progress. BEGIN - then we may aid. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Research Department " " Cayce Hospital
