Time of Reading 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestions)
1. EC: We have the body here, [2356]. Now, we find with the physical forces of the body, there are conditions as are disturbing in the functioning organs, and these - unless corrected - may become organic in their nature. While at times, at present, the condition assumes that proportion - even now - yet this is not wholly the condition; rather functional disorder.
2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2356] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, in MANY respects there are disorders and disturbances here; for the liver being involved most in the condition, and it being both excretory and secretive in its functioning, and the digestion and assimilation disturbed also, naturally the character OF the blood, also the pressure as is created in the circulation, the variations as occur are evident; the deep circulation, the insufficiency of the blood IN its character to meet the needs OF the conditions as are active in giving dis-ease to the system, and the body in its functioning through this particular organ finds distress. Then we have the blood, as it were, coagulating too fast; deficient in the number of red blood and at TIMES an extra amount of the white or leucocyte corpuscles; at others, even THIS plasm deficient, and would be well in making tests that this cover a period of seven days, rather than judging from even any ONE; as would be also the tests for the eliminations through the kidneys, or the urine - these should be for a period of forty-eight, rather than twenty-four hours; for these deficiencies are manifest THROUGH the CHARACTER of the functioning as is seen in blood supply.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, AND SYSTEMS, this also out of the ORDINARY, as to the character of conditions as are manifest through the nerve system.
2356-1 Page 2
5. In the extremities the reflexes will be found to be out of the ordinary, or the pressures as produced in system are of such a nature that the ganglions controlling the locomotories are disturbed in such a manner as to produce rather a PECULIAR reflex, as is seen in knees or lower limbs at times, and the weakness as occurs there; also those conditions as exist in the sacral and lumbar plexus, as bring those retractions for the system when the body attempting to adjust itself to the new pressure, or the changes as are wrought in the system in the various cycles of functioning of organs themselves.
6. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces of the body very good. Discernment and discrimination are very good.
7. The functioning of the organs of the sensory system show repression, rather than disturbance - as seen in vision, in auditory, in the feeling, in the taste. These at times are accentuated; at others, nothing tastes EXACTLY the same, or right; at others the hearing is not JUST the same, neither is the vision, nor the attempt at reactions through the FEELINGS of the system. These, as seen, are merely indications; NOT CAUSES of disturbance, and with the correction of those conditions existent in organs and FUNCTIONING of organs as related to digestive system, and liver in particular, we will find these in the EXTERIOR portions, or those to the sensory system, functioning again near normal.
8. Lungs very good. Only the activity of the deficiency in blood supply causes depressions, and the activity of the forces as show or manifest through the diaphragm at times produce pressure upward. Hence that of the shortness of breath; NOT the condition of heart's action as causes same, but rather that of the UPWARD pressure on the diaphragm.
9. Digestive system, the stomach, and intestines - with the liver as the key, or the condition that is to be considered the most serious; while lacerations have existed in the stomach, ESPECIALLY in the cardiac end, this out of ordinary - for the conditions produced began from those in times back of properties as were taken for sedatives, or sedentary conditions for nerve reflexes in headaches. This gradually accumulated in the system those that produced first the super-acidity, or hyper-acidity in system. The liver becoming torpid, then we find there is begun with the SPOTS, as is seen on the left lobe of same. Disturbance in the gall duct and the pancreas become involved, so that sugars and those of any stimuli nature produce too much of an alcoholic effect in the system, through that of the unactive forces in the digestion of foods. Then, the assimilation
2356-1 Page 3
becomes bad. Now those PRESSURES created are those from the condition in the liver, and about the gall duct. These, then, are those to be considered; for - with the activities increased, with the vibrations brought to the near normal - we will find the conditions will be relieved. This tired, heaviness in the feet - tendency of the feet feeling as being separated from the system, or as of pins through the soles of same - THESE will be removed. Also will that strain as is experienced through the hepatic circulation, attempting to keep balance with the system, and the condition through the bladder and through the kidneys will be overcome.
10. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions - first we would find it would be necessary for the body to REST; the body should rest while these vibrations are being set up in the system, for those forces from without must be made to coordinate with the forces from within; so that the vibrations in the whole system are brought to the proper coordination with organs of the system as regarding the eliminations, so that - with the drainage set up - the eliminations may be carried on WITHOUT the necessity of OPERATIVE forces in the body, and to prevent sorosis [cirrhosis?] or hardening of the liver, and to cut down the super-acidity and the tendency of ULCERATIONS in the lower portion of stomach itself. The stomach's position is not exactly in proper relation to the rest of the system. This produced by pressure.
11. Then, to meet these at the present:
12. Taking the rest, these properties should be given internally, and these applied EXTERNALLY, so that the conditions as will set up will be accordant one with another, producing externally those of a counter-irritant TO that as produced internally through the excretory system. These should be as one dose. Three doses should be given: Podophyllum...................1/4 grain, Powdered Yellow Saffron.......1/2 grain, Dovers' Powders...............1/4 grain, Leptandrin....................1/2 grain, Licorice Compound.............1/4 grain. This may be given in a capsule. A day should elapse between each dose given. Especial amounts of water should be given while this is taken through the system, and MOST of this - at least every other glass - should carry a pinch of elm in same, that it may be active with the secretions in the stomach proper.
2356-1 Page 4
13. During the same period, apply over the liver those of packs of oil of the bean, or Castor bean, or added WITH same - or in the water from which these are wrung out - to the half a pint, add two drops of OIL of turp; NOT spirits - but OIL of turp. THIS will aid in bringing about the proper DRAINAGE in system.
14. Manipulations osteopathically should be given each day during this time, that these eliminations may be set up properly.
15. After the third dose, or beginning with about the fifth day - there should be given OIL ENEMAS, that the eliminations through the colon will be set up properly. Not causing too much irritation through the lower portion of colon, and we will find with this beginning there may be added that which will bring about the proper coordinations in this body, [2356].
16. We find, in the diet, those during the first seven to ten days would BEST be those of near PRE-DIGESTED foods, that the blood supply may be aided in taking up the proper assimilation for resuscitation of the blood units in the system.
17. Ready for questions.
18. We will find, after this has been begun in this manner, the changes will change those through the VIBRATORY forces as set in system. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital " " Dr. Lydic
