1. EC: We have the body here, [2363]. Now, we find there are conditions that are abnormal to the body. While these have not reached those proportions, or those activities in the disturbance, as to become acute, the general tendencies that are exhibited in the system, if taken in TIME, and the proper precautions, the proper corrections made before the system has wholly adjusted itself to the changes, then we will find these will be much more easily relieved, and causes removed, than to allow conditions to go on as the tendencies indicate at present.
2. These, then, be the conditions as we find them with this body, [2363] we are speaking of, present in this room:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find evidences of the disturbance in the circulation as created by those tendencies as are exhibited from the primary cause; so that eliminations are not carried on in their proper ways and manners. While caused, true, by some specific conditions existent, these tendencies - through the sedentary life as has been had, or lived by the body - have had, do have, their effect upon the system; and the tendencies beginning, then, we find the circulation has reached that state where the alterations in the blood pressure, the change in the circulation and the character of the assimilations in system, are evidenced.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, OR SYSTEMS, this, again, may be called that of a primary cause, for in the activities as have been produced, pressures have become in the system to such an extent as that ganglia along the cerebrospinal system show definite conditions as prevent the normal activity of IMPULSES TO the system. With this abnormal impulse, conditions have become existent - as is seen in the colon itself, as well as those conditions where drosses are eliminated from system. A form, then, of prolapsus has ensued from same, and this a specific result - not a cause, but the CAUSE or RESULT may produce, unless altered or changed, other conditions that would become more detrimental
2363-1 Page 2
to the physical forces of the system. Reflexly, we have from same those conditions as affect the system as related to the sensory organisms and those tendencies as occur, those conditions as come from the upper central nerve system - as to the head, to the eyes, to the throat at times - these are other signs of the same condition as exists in the nervous system. Those forces, then, or centers, from which the radial forces have come in the system, are those in the sternum, or in the sacral AND those of the sternum, where the circular motion in the upper cervical, in those of the lower lumbar and dorsal, are affected BY these pressures as are existent.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, we find, as seen sympathetically, conditions in the sensory system show effects of the distraughtness in nervous system.
6. In the throat and bronchi, and lungs, ORGANICALLY very good; SYMPATHETICALLY, disturbances exist from the amount of accumulations as come from poor eliminations, and of the excess of blood supply as thrown to that portion of system by the pressure created in heart's action - though no organic heart action exists, as we find; only SYMPATHETICALLY, and that from those pressures as exist in system, and the eliminations being disturbed in the equilibrium created between the red blood and white blood supply.
7. Liver, pancreas and spleen, show engorgements from the condition existent. The lack of the pressure, and the over pressure as comes THROUGH these, is in their variation in the impulses from nerve plexus that govern these, especially through the solar plexus centers; the effect as is produced in the hepatic circulation being engorged, shows that effect in the kidneys and the bladder. These form that source of outlet from the sedentary conditions as exist in system, from the prolapsus as exists in the ascending colon, or in the beginning of transverse colon. This may be seen by those of the X-ray, or by those of the pressures as are produced in these portions. The effect as comes from these pressures is created in the lower part of the extremities, as is seen along portion of the limbs.
8. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions in the present - and making those corrections as will prevent further disturbance, or a greater disturbance further on - we would first find that there SHOULD be a period of rest. Rest, not by that of just lying around - but more as a change from the MENTAL forces and the physical activities OF the body. Work a little at play, would be better for the body.

9. In the changes necessary, too, will be those corrections of the conditions as exist in the cerebrospinal system, or the removal or the pressures from same; also the relieving of those tendencies of impactions as show in system from the effect of the conditions existent in the colon itself.
10. In the matter of the diet, these must necessarily be in keeping with the change as will be brought about as to the building forces for the system. Not those that cause too much of the building material, yet sufficient of those that will keep the strength and vitality; REDUCING the amount of carbons and of those that create too much heat for the system. These, as we find, will bring about the normal forces for this body. Do that. Ready for questions.
11. (Q) Does the physician that has charge of the case understand it? (A) Not wholly; for the effects, rather than the CAUSES, have been treated.
12. (Q) Should these pressures be removed by osteopathic treatments? (A) As WE find, only by that - or of the PROPER or CORRECT manipulations or adjustments chiropractically; BUT, for the changes as must be wrought in the system, the manipulations AND adjustments OSTEOPATHICALLY given will bring for the system the nearer proper adjustments and coordinations in the system; for the differentiation as exists in relieving of pressure, and of setting up - through the using OF the structural portions of body and the muscular forces to create coordination in eliminations - is quite different.
13. (Q) Is the use of the [Tyrrell's?] Cascade beneficial? (A) Rather would we use those of the colonic, for in a case where there is - as seen - the PROLAPSUS condition, the ballooning as occurs at times from Cascade, while this is beneficial, becomes HARMFUL in the MANNER in which the tissue itself is strained at times. The colonic would be more beneficial than the Cascade.
14. (Q) How often should these be given? (A) In the beginning, with the corrections, would be well were these taken at least ONCE each week. Afterward, they may be made further apart, when the system is STRENGTHENED sufficient to hold same, as changes are made in proper position.
15. (Q) How often should manipulations be given? (A) Manipulations should be given at least every OTHER day, and every other treatment should be an adjustment WITH same.
16. (Q) What caused the severe hemorrhage from the nose had last March? (A) The system attempting to adjust itself. Had there not been a hemorrhage from this portion of the system at the
2363-1 Page 4
time, more dire would have been the results in the system, in the STOMACH and intestinal system. While it was severe, it was nature's adjusting itself, or relieving pressure. When these adjustments are made in the axis, or sternum here - you see - in the cerebrospinal system - when there is the relief from those pressures in the solar plexus center, and in the upper brachial and those of the sympathetics - through the cardiac and secondary cardiac centers, in the 4th, 5th and 6th dorsals; then the relief of that in the coccyx and lumbar; we will find these will throw off in their nearer normal forces. A changing of the circulation caused these pressures, but system was adjusting itself. Do these as we have given, and we will find much bettered conditions than we have had in many periods.
