Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there are gradual improvements. There is beginning to be life in the nerve ends that have been depleted trough the pressures which impoverished them.

4. We would keep those applications for nerve building, - that is, the Wet Cell Appliance. Keep this by all means, for it is supplying the nerve building forces, not only in the glandular and the assimilating system, but in the general body reactions. Keep the solution in the same proportions, also the same attachments, followed by the Peanut Oil massage - thoroughly, to the limbs as well as to the cerebrospinal system.

5. The osteopathic manipulative measures we would now change a bit; in that those nerve ends as come from the cerebrospinal system to the arm, especially, should be moved - not as to bruise, but that the lesion which exists there may be broken up gradually. In making the adjustments, or breaking up of the lesion, go deeper - but CONTROL SAME by pressure upon both the vegetative center AND the lumbar axis AT THE SAME TIME. Then make the adjustment in each center following such manipulation.

6. To aid in giving this activity, with the other applications, we would massage the body with this combination of oils the morning before the osteopathic adjustments are to be given that day, or in the evening if the osteopathic treatment is to be given the next morning:

7. To 2 ounces of Nujol or Russian White Oil as the base, add - in the order names: Sassafras Oil..............1 ounce, Peanut Oil.................1 ounce, Olive Oil................1/2 ounce,

Cedar Wood Oil...........1/2 ounce, Pine Needle Oil..........1/2 ounce, Oil of Mustard...........1/4 ounce.

8. The Sassafras Oil will tend to separate; but shake these together thoroughly, pouring a small quantity into a saucer when it is to be applied. In making this massage we would use a rubber glove. Apply this ONLY along the cerebrospinal system, from the 2nd and 3rd cervical to at least the 9th dorsal, or to the lumbar axis; that there may be some stimulation also and reaction to the nerves of the superficial and the deeper circulation that controls locomotories - both from the brachial and from the lumbar axis. This will produce heat. It may even produce some irritation at times. Do not massage too heavily, but it will penetrate - and it will add to the ability of the system to respond to the osteopathic adjustments made.

9. The rest we would keep as has been indicated.

10. Take the Atomidine more periodically, as was last indicated.

11. Do that.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) Will I be able to return to work? (A) As we find, the body will be able to resume work.

14. (Q) When would you advise my going back? (A) Not before there is a great deal of change, of course, in the physical conditions of the body. But as we find in three months, or less, the body should be able to resume work.

15. (Q) Any further treatment you would advise to improve arm and hand, and to relieve spastic condition? (A) This we have been giving here. Do these things, and we will find bettered conditions.

16. (Q) How is the heart? (A) This is improving. We will find that the secondary cardiac plexus will be a portion of those movements that are to be coordinated, when making the osteopathic adjustments, - and we should have better conditions when these nerves are stimulated to normal activity.

17. We are through with this Reading. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Dr. Richardson. See notation for druggist [which was enclosed] in combining the Oils; or you may buy them separately and add in the order named.)
