1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2383]; this we have had before, you see.
3. As we find, there are a great many changes physically and mentally with this body since last we had same here. Some are toward improvement. Others we find still show the effect of neglect, or of keeping the body in that attitude of bodybuilding rather than merely meeting the needs in the physical and mental body, as time and as conditions have progressed.
4. These are conditions as exist in the present:
5. Those conditions that originally caused disturbance in the locomotion, and in the abilities of the extremities to coordinate with the rest of the system, have a great deal to do with general conditions. While these may not be entirely removed, these may be MATERIALLY aided with the application of those suggestions as may be indicated here.
6. In the blood supply we find there are those inclinations for acidity in the body, so that there is a tendency to keep those disturbances as indicated through the lymph, the bronchi and the lung circulation. While there have been some changes, these still cause sources of disturbance.
7. This inclination of acidity causes the body to easily contract cold, the upsetting of the digestive system, at times the uncomfortableness and the types of headaches, some trouble with the nasal passages, with ears, eyes, and the whole sensory organism.
8. In the general conditions, these as we find are the main sources of the disturbances.
9. Then, in making administrations for helpful conditions in the present:
10. We would have treatments by massage - as of the

chiropractic or osteopathic nature, or a combination of these - to set up DRAINAGES in the system; particularly as related to better activity of the liver and the gall duct, and as to the general eliminating system.
11. Take these at least twice or three times a week for at least fifteen such treatments or adjustments; then leave off for a period of two weeks; and then take another course of an equal period of time.
12. Also we would prepare an inhalant to aid in purifying the lungs, throat, bronchi and larynx and nasal passages. Put this in an eight ounce container, preferably one prepared so that two vents can be put into the container or bottle. Neither of these should extend into the solution, but both should be tightly corked except when in use.
13. To 4 ounces of Grain Alcohol, add - IN THE ORDER NAMED: Oil of Eucalyptus...............20 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin....15 minims, Rectified Creosote...............5 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...........10 minims, Tolu in Solution................30 minims.
14. Shake the solution well, then remove both corks, inhaling deeply into each nostril some two or three times. Shake the solution each time before inhaling. Also inhale into the throat, but not swallowing the fumes; rather inhale as you would cigarette or the like. Do this at least in the early morning before any meal is taken, then in the evening once or twice, or at least before retiring.
15. Then, in the diet - keep away from too much fats. No hog meat at any time, save crisp bacon occasionally.
16. Do not take cereal and citrus fruits at the same meal, but it is well to alternate these through the week; that is, once or twice a week have each of these, but not at the same time.
17. We would leave off white bread; using only the whole wheat or rye or pumpernickel or corn bread or the like, - these in preference to the white bread.
18. Have plenty of figs, stewed or raw, or dried. These are well to eat as they are prepared; prunes, raisins, all fruits that are well cared for.
19. Eat plenty of vegetables.
20. The meats should be preferably fish, fowl or lamb.
21. Do these, and we will find we will bring bettered conditions for this body of [2383].
22. Ready for questions.
23. (Q) Would continued use of the peanut oil massage treatment recommended by Dr. Geo. W. Carver be helpful in my case?
2383-2 Page 3
(A) Be MOST helpful for this body. This to be massaged on the spine as WELL as on the lumbar and sacral AND the sciatic center. The limbs would be well, too, especially on those portions that are somewhat deteriorated in their size.
24. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for one who makes the adjustments. We would refer you to Dr. D. C. Thompson, chiropractor of Selma, who has had a Reading himself, and who has gotten good results in several cases we have sent to him with Readings. See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for druggist in preparing the inhalant.) .)
