Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions; also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2389].

3. Now as we find, there is rather the combination of disturbances that prevent the better normal physical functioning. This has been rather a growing condition, altered or changed at times, yet the constant shifting about of disorders has not done other than bring temporary relief by the changes in relationships to the rather specific disturbance which is has been the cause of the disorders.

4. The body then, as we find, is never really ill, yet constantly in a state of uneasiness and dis-ease, rather than disease.

5. First we find, in some time back - some fifteen years ago - there were those subluxations in the area between the shoulders; the upper dorsal and portions of the cervical.

6. These, in the manner that they caused a slowing of circulation through portions of the head, neck and throat, have affected the organs of the sensory system - also the nasal passages. In part these have been aided, and this caused a condition as of a catarrhal nature. Later, with the changes, there were those conditions which arose that had the appearance partially of a disturbance through the stomach, or the digestive system. These with or from the milk, and other changes in the diet, have been aided.

7. Again we find the same arising, causing a condition in the circulation as related to heart, liver and kidneys.

8. Then a part of the disturbance is also from the effect left upon the organs that have been from time to time disturbed.

9. From the very nature and the long standing of these disturbances, and the conditions existing in the cerebrospinal area, combined with the effect produced

through the circulatory forces and pressures upon the nerve systems to the functioning of organs as related especially to those as indicated - as well as the sensory forces - the hearing, the sight, and the manner of feeling; these as we find would be the applications:

10. Under a good hydrotherapist we would apply first the Baths to stimulate the circulation. These would be had about twice a week, using the dry heat followed with fume baths - preferably alternating the fumes, one time using the Witchhazel, the next time the Atomidine; so as to stimulate the superficial circulation through the activity of these fumes as they settle upon the body; not only to coordinate the activities of the superficial circulation but the glandular forces also. Use about two teaspoonsful of the properties in a pint of water, this boiled so that the fumes settle upon the body. Have the treatments twice a week, once with the Witchhazel, next with the Atomidine.

11. These would be followed each time by a general massage. Then after the third or fourth massage, begin making CORRECTIONS in the 3rd and 4th treatment in the dorsal AND the cervical areas. Make specific corrections in the 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsal, the 3rd and 4th cervical.

12. Then after these general treatments and rubdowns for at least six to eight treatments, begin with the Short Wave Electro-Treatment; not the sinusoidal, not other than the Short Wave - to heat the internal forces - if we would relieve the SOURCES of the disturbances to the organs and to the system in general, as produced by the congestion from this disturbance which has been indicated as a part of, or the beginning of, the sources of disturbance. THESE we would then take for at least six to ten such treatments. But the hydrotherapy, INCLUDING the colonics, should be given before each of the short wave electrical treatments is given.

13. WE would do these under the supervision of Reilly.

14. As to the length of the Short Wave treatment - this should be judged by the one making the administrations, according to the effect produced upon the heart circulation, you see; short at first, and then gradually increased. Do not give these, though, until the first course of hydrotherapy treatments have been given as outlined. These would not even be begun, you see, until the first six to eight general hydrotherapy treatments have been given.

15. As to the diet - keep away from white breads, pastries, red or rare meats, or too many vegetables of the tuberous nature. No fried foods of any kind. Also leave off potatoes, unless

2389-1 Page 3

it is soup made chiefly from the potato peels rather than from the pulp itself; for the salts from the potato peels would be very well for the body.

16. Have plenty of all kinds of fruits; citrus fruits, - oranges, lemons, limes, grape fruit, pineapple - all of these should form a part of the diet some time during each day; not all of them at once, to be sure, but alternate them. Do not prepare them in the same way each day.

17. Figs, raisins, olives, dates - all of these should be a part of the diet from time to time.

18. Raw vegetables should be a part of some meal during each day.

19. Meats, if taken, should consist principally of fish, fowl or lamb - and these never fried.

20. Do these, and we will bring better conditions for this body, [2389].

21. Ready for questions.

22. We are through for the present.
