Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will have before you the life existence in the earth plane of [2390] nee [2390] born August 24, 1910, in Marietta, Georgia, and the earthly existence of this entity as Marge Oglethorpe, in Georgia and in England. You will give a biographical life of the entity in that day and plane of earthly existence, from entrance - and how - into the earth's plane, and the entity's departure; giving the development or retarding points in such an existence. You will then answer the questions the entity submits, as I ask them, concerning the problems of the present life and the associations arising from that period:

2. EC: Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now called [2390], then Marge Oglethorpe.

3. In interpreting the records here, as has been indicated we would magnify the virtues, we would minimize the faults; yet that which appears in willful mental experiences of individuals may not be as easily overlooked as the physical manifestations - but it is the opposite with the way people, individuals, materialists, judge same.

4. Then, it would be well that much of the happenings of the period be given, especially as related to the individual entity, rather than so much as to the history of the period.

5. There was the grant given to Oglethorpe, who was in the position of a lord, yet because of the activities toward which the general trend of the colonists was headed, he became as one not in too great a favor, either in Georgia or in England. Yet he kept in the position because of his connections and associations that prevented him from being removed as one in command, or as one that would resent the activities in the new land.

6. From the very activities there came much of that which, growing to seed, is represented in what is called the spirit of the South - that may yet be experienced in some of the Southern cities; as Charleston, Savannah, Atlanta,

2390-9 Page 2

Montgomery, New Orleans, Nashville - in some portions of same. These are expressed in that feeling of being just a little bit better than anyone else.

7. That was the character of environment under which Marge Oglethorpe flourished in Georgia, as well as in England. Thus the willfulness of the entity in its associations, in the social activities; not so much in Georgia as in England, during those periods of those activities that brought about the conditions leading to the stirring up of the revolutions that later came.

8. The entity was not a snob, but one that really - deep within itself - thought itself just a little bit better than anybody else. But who was she? The first at court in England and certainly the first in America, and America was becoming very popular at the period.

9. This is an example of where popularity and social life oft only adds to the fires of self-esteem in the experience of the individual.

10. And these are those experiences that are to be met within self in the present. Not what would be termed foolish egotism, but that innate feeling within self that it knows it knows, irrespective of whatever anyone else may say! This may be true in the material, but one that would be worldly wise oft comes to that of foolishness in the spirit; while those that would be wise in spirit will become the rulers and the directors, the force upon which peace, harmony, grace, mercy, truth are builded in the material world.

11. As to the social activities and some of those escapades that were not pretty - these we would pass. These have little or nothing to do with the present experience of the entity. When there are the associations or the contacts with some of those that may have been a part of the experience there, an urge will rise - by the judgments of the spirit, from the experience of the entity through other sojourns, through other unfoldments and consciousnesses will be a safeguard ever for the entity.

12. Then, so long as there is held innately and manifestedly, first and foremost in the interpretation, the purpose, the desire of the entity, "Thy will, O Lord, be done in and through me," there is the safeguard for each soul - whatever may have been the experience. For, who forgiveth thine iniquities? Surely not man, for he laugheth at same! Who mourneth with thee, who rejoiceth with thee? He that is the way, the truth and the light!

13. So seek that guidance - even as those urges arise of wanting to do and to have self's own way. These arise in

2390-9 Page 3

the present experience from those willful ways, those willful experiences through the activities in England; for there may still be found about Salisbury those records of that wayward Oglethorpe gal.

14. In using those experiences, then, let not thy self grow angry - with thine own self or with others; but manifest meekness, humbleness - yes, meekness; not in being ashamed, no. For, lift up thine eyes to Him, who is the way, and He will ever say as of old "Neither do I condemn thee."

15. For, when He forgiveth, it is also forgotten. Look to Him, for He may put into thy activities that which will keep thee daily in the way that speaketh of beauty and charm - that was a part of the experience - and all the waywardness and willfulness will be forgotten.

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) Have I met my problems in [my job]? [See 2390-5.] (A) Meeting them, yes. [See 2390-9, Par. R1.]

18. (Q) Would it be well for me to give up my position there, within the next two or three months, that I may build a happier home with my husband? (A) After the period of the present unpleasantness in other lands, yes - be well.

19. (Q) Would it be well to plan on having a baby in 1944? (A) If it is made in the latter portion of that period, yes.

20. (Q) If so, what month would be best? (A) The entity being born in August, we find it would be well in December - or in January of '45.

21. (Q) Why is it that [2533] is able to upset me in little things, and how can I keep it from occurring? (A) Read what has just been given of thine own willfulness you are meeting. Many of these have been in various associations with this very same entity. Not in England as the one that caused those uprisings within self, but these are self - not [2533]. Don't blame [2533]! Don't blame self! But get out of it! Set it off, aside, and take a look at it! You will see in most instances he's right - you admit it but you don't want to agree to it!

22. (Q) What portion of my life seal comes from this period? (A) This has been indicated in the seal itself.

23. (Q) What were my associations in that period with the following, what are the present urges and how may they be used for our mutual development? My husband, [2533]? (A) An acquaintance, and always just out of reach of the entity - and part of those things that made you rather wicked, as some people called.

24. (Q) [2823]?

2390-9 Page 4

(A) In the experience there was a close association, but as always you looked down on everyone except on Marge!

25. (Q) [2175]? (A) We don't find an association of too close activity. But these brought about the willfulnesses in various experiences.

26. (Q) [...] [male business associate]? (A) There you were on many an escapade!

27. (Q) Is there any other advice? (A) Do these, as given. Stand aside oft and watch yourself go by, and you will not be surprised when you are able to control those little angers that arise at times. Not merely with [2533]! There are others, you know, but these you admit the more often.
