Born July 28, 1898, in Los Angeles, Calif. Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Calif.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over the years from the present - " - '28 - upheavals in the experience - '26 - " etc., on back to birth date.)

3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2397].

4. In giving the interpretations of the records here, written by the entity upon the skein of time and space - through patience (and this - patience - is a lesson that is imposed upon the entity in the present) - this interpretation is chosen with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience; bringing to the consciousness of the entity the awareness of much that may be helpful in the entity fulfilling that purpose for which it entered this present sojourn.

5. It is not all of life to live, nor yet all of death to die. For, each experience is by and through the grace of Him, the Giver of all that is good, all that is perfect; that His will may be made manifest in the purposes, the hopes, the ideals of each entity. For, He hath not willed that any soul should perish, but hath with each temptation prepared a way, a manner through which each soul may become aware of its faults, its virtues; magnifying the virtues, minimizing the faults - that one may come to the perfect knowledge of one's relationships to the creative influences

2397-1 Page 2

- called God.

6. Thus, these are given that there may be that way, that manner, in which this purpose, this hope, that is of itself creative, may be made manifest in the manner in which this entity, this soul, may meet the problems, the experiences in this given experience; and thus bring self to the awareness of the relationships to that purpose, that hope, in Him.

7. In giving the interpretations of the experiences of the entity - these are so varied that they might be termed at first, even to the entity, as being fantastic. Yet, remember - and in the analyzing of self and of self's problems - the lesson that is to be learned here and now. And know that thou art NEVER alone if ye hold to that purpose that ye may be at one with Him. For His promise has been, "I will not leave thee - I will be with thee always." And again may ye, in seeking - oft - oft - hear that voice within, "Be not afraid, it is I."

8. We find that the astrological aspects have their influence. For the entity, the soul, being oft in that environ of material consciousnesses, is of a high temperament; with deep convictions, deep earnestness towards spiritual aspects, and NOT in that direction of material temperaments as many an entity might be who is termed "sensitive."

9. For, the entity is sensitive - but in quite a different way from that of the purely materialistic intent.

10. Hence the dreams, the visions, the desires and hopes, are far ahead of that which, apparently, the entity is able to manifest, or to materialize.

11. The entity then at times grows weary with the struggle; at times feels almost like quitting the chase, the seeking.

12. PATIENCE! For in same ye become - as the Way hath given - aware of thy relationships to the Father-God.

13. Astrologically, then, we find that Venus, Mercury, Uranus and Neptune become rather the ruling forces.

14. Jupiter's influence is just that seeking - as yet - to be made more manifest in the dealings with and relationships to others.

15. In Venus we find abilities for manifesting love, art, nature; those things that make for expressions of affection, of hope, of those influences that are indeed the seed of the spirit. Lose not thy hold on same!

16. We find in Mercury rather the practicality of the entity, and this at times may become the stumbling block, even to the entity. For this, as combined with those experiences in materiality, has brought hardships of a material nature; yet satisfactions and longings - as will be

2397-1 Page 3

indicated - for the seeking of expression as may accomplish that so sought.

17. In Uranus we find the extremes, and yet the abilities oft to make the voices of colors, of harmonies, applicable in the experiences of that being attempted or done.

18. Know that only in Him, the Way, do such extremes meet. For, remember, as may be manifested in self, in materiality, He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. There was not anything made that was made, save through Him. His consciousness then was in materiality, with the abilities to manifest in the lives and the experiences of others not only the mysteries of ages but of the future; and yet it is He that may be, that will be, thy hope, they companion in thy endeavors - if ye but entertain Him in thine own heart, purpose and desires!

19. In Neptune we find the mystical influences become a deeper portion of the inner consciousness of the entity. Thus we find an unusual manifestation in this entity of much that is incomprehensible to some, and yet capable of being made manifest in the experiences of the many - if the entity will but hold to that which is needed in the experience.

20. As to the appearances in the earth - not all may be indicated here, but these are a part of the entity's present experience. Though far afield from that as may be gathered at first from the material angle, we find that mentally and spiritually these may be comprehended in the experience of the entity and in its dealings with those problems which are a part of the entity's experience here, NOW.

21. Before this the entity was in the Yucatan land, during those periods of the early coming in of those from the western shores - or during the Spanish periods.

22. There the entity was a priestees to the sun god - who attempted to bring into the experiences of her peoples the closer relationships to those peoples through the abilities of the entity to depict in drawings, in the markings upon the face even of nature, as well as upon the walls, the buildings of the peoples, that as would bring awe - and yet an inspirational awe - to so pattern their lives, their activities, as to be acceptable unto the higher influences that are ever creative in the experiences of individuals.

23. With the interruption of those activities, through the selfishness of men, there came disappointments, disturbances - yea, even HATE into the experience of the entity.

24. Much of these the entity is meeting in the present, - yet, through the artistic temperaments of self, there is

2397-1 Page 4

still the ability to depict nature in the form of murals, or the like, upon walls, upon edifices of man today, in such a manner that there may come the knowledge, the awareness, the appreciation being aroused in the minds and hearts and souls of many today, who in their selfishness, thoughtlessness, their desire for aggrandizement, brought those disturbing and confusing experiences in the entity's activity as Princess Quinta.

25. And with those channels of authority from the ruling forces, or in governmental channels, in government places, - in such activities may the entity find the outlet for these abilities, these opportunities, in the present sojourn.

26. Before that the entity was in the Promised Land, during those early periods of the looking for the incoming of the Prince of Peace, the Master of masters.

27. There the entity was among those who directed the Wise Men to the Inn, to the places where HIS manifestation of light, of hope, of joy, was proclaimed by the sages of old.

28. Thus the entity in its present experience, through its material and physical activities, may give light to not only those of high estate but those of the common peoples also.

29. For, as ye learned so well in that experience, He - thy Lord, thy God - is not a respecter of persons, but of hopes, of desires, of purposes in the INDIVIDUAL lives.

30. Thus, learn the INDIVIDUALITY of thy purpose as being at one with His; that all men may know the glory of the Lord, that it may fill their lives also!

31. The name then was Rebkah. In the experience the entity was a seeker after knowledge, a seeker for the way of truth. Thus the entity was used as the channel; not spoken of, and yet in patience it may become the way through which SO MANY - as self does at times in the present may find hope, cheer, joy; in merely being a means whereby others may take hold again.

32. Before that the entity was in the land now known as Egypt, during those periods or activities when turmoils and strifes - because of personalities - had brought such confusion among the peoples of the land - when there was the chime for the recall of the Priest, as in opposition to the peoples from Atlantis and the Natives and those of the household even of the King who had rebelled and brought confusion.

33. The entity was among those natives of the land where the Priest had been banished, and was brought back with those purposes and hopes to be an assistant, a helper, in reestablishing the Priest's activities, and in awakening others to the hopes that might be found in the practical

2397-1 Page 5

application of these tenets, those hopes so proclaimed by that teacher.

34. The name then was Is-Tek-Ai.

35. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain, and how:

36. Find thy ideal - spiritually, mentally, materially. Know in WHOM ye believe as well as in what. Know that He, the Ideal, HAS been, is, manifested in the earth from the beginning of time, and that His promises are THINE - if ye will embrace them.

37. As to the material field of expression - this should be as the artist; in the ability to depict nature - the hopes, the fears, the doubts - but these, let them ever be hopeful rather than fearful. Look up, life up thy heart, thy mind, thy purposes unto Him; for HE is a present help in time of trouble.

38. Ready for questions.

39. (Q) I seem to be at a turning point in many ways, new activities in art and life in general. I feel that a definite something is being born within me. As it is not clear, will you direct me in this that I may fulfill my highest purpose? (A) As indicated, this is very true; and in the material manners the outlet is through the decorating of PUBLIC places, see?

40. (Q) How can I have an abundance of financial supply for conscientious effort? (A) Through these channels indicated. Remember - as has been indicated - a little patience; and yet in that patience EFFORT; and He will crown same with success - through government channels, where so MUCH is needed for so many - just now particularly.

41. (Q) Is my work, in part, to continue teaching children in art in a bigger way, or is it to be dropped and to give my efforts entirely into other definite art channels of expression? (A) For the time being, and for that means of gaining the material things for a definite need of being an instructor TO children in the greater, the broader fields - the decorative art for buildings, the public places, meeting the places and the like.

42. (Q) What action am I to take in regard to the real estate where I am now living, so it will be fair to my sister - and to myself, and that it will be settled harmoniously? (A) As ye would that she would do to thee, that do ye also - in a manner that is to self, to all concerned, of equal import.

2397-1 Page 6

43. (Q) Should I have an attorney? (A) By all means.

44. (Q) Would Braeme E. Gigas be the right one? (A) Quite fair, if the whole of the situations are given to be understood in the beginning of this settlement.

45. (Q) If this property is for me, would it be advisable to make it into two apartments? (A) By all means.

46. (Q) How will there be finances to accomplish this? (A) Through the same channels through which the self may gain the better activities for the expression of self in the immediate future.

47. (Q) What should I do for more directness in expression in life? (a) In speech? (b) In Purpose for my work? (A) In those ways and manners indicated. Remember, as He ha given, be not over mindful of that ye shall say, or what ye shall do; for in the selfsame hour - if thy whole trust is put in Him - it will be GIVEN thee! What to say, and how; and what to do, and the manner to do same! Put thyself in HIS care.

48. (Q) Is my name Althea suited for me? (A) It is suited for thee.

49. (Q) Would it be best for me to remain single, or to marry - should a suitable opportunity present itself? (A) Not just ye marry - not just yet. For, as in so many of thy experiences, such associations brought confusion.

50. (Q) Through this approach, could there be given the cause for my apparent lack of normal hearing, and what I can do restore it? (A) The glandular forces; an oversupply of the activities through the thyroids. Cleanse same with iodine - but in the non-poisonous form, by the use of ATOMIDINE.

51. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file Extra copy made by MV & sent to Mrs. [1152], 4/1/41 (Atomidine is manufactured and distributed by Atomidine Co., 64 E. Sidney Ave., & Mt. Vernon, N.Y., but is well distributed throughout the drug stores in the east. For a glandular cleansing, the Readings usually suggest this method of taking it: One drop in half a glass of water each morning before breakfast for ten days; leave off ten days, then take again in the same manner. Continue in this routine for a period of two or three months. Should you not be satisfied with the reaction, I'd suggest that you then seek a Physical Reading from Mr. Cayce. GD.)
