1. HLC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now called [2398].
3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them, much of this needs be interpreted into the language as well as conditions of today.
4. Much may be given respecting the astrological aspects, as well as the theories or theorems as to purposes for the entity's entrance into material experiences.
5. Yet here we find one whose material expressions in the various spheres of activity in the earth have influenced and do influence the greater part of this present material experience; though the entity is not wholly material-minded, to be sure. For, the very work and the very activities of the entity in the material world arise from the mental and spiritual impetus, or the desire of creative forces.
6. This information is not intended to be as mere words, now - but these interpretations are being chosen from the records, that this information may prove to be a HELPFUL experience of the entity; not only in the search for recognition in the material plane, but in the mental and spiritual aspects of the entity's life also.
7. For, without the continuity of purpose there must be confusion. For, body, mind and soul are the aspects of an entity in material manifestation. The impetus arises, to be
2398-2 Page 2
sure, from the spiritual concepts. The mental arises, or works from same, through the environs which an entity chooses to move, or into which an entity is thrown or drawn, - yet in the material things, these are of the entity's own making in the greater part. This is indicated from the experiences of the entity through sojourns in the earth, and the application the self has given of the abilities, the choices.
8. As to whether these are to be continued to be used only for material satisfaction or mental gratification, or for self-indulgence, or for that as may bring into the experiences of others the more helpful and hopeful experiences, depends upon what the entity chooses to do with those opportunities, those abilities that are manifested in this sojourn.
9. In giving these interpretations, then - the material sojourns have been at times quite varied as to the aspects of its demonstrations in the material plane.
10. Hence we find one very highly sensitive to environs; one very temperamental at times to conditions about self; one not reliant upon the material things for its greatest aspects in manifesting its abilities, yet one dependent upon the material things for a greater mental and spiritual application of self in the material plane.
11. As to the appearances in the earth, then - these we find quite varied.
12. Before this the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, during the early periods when there was rather the thought given to explorations; when there was the choosing of those who would accompany those who set out to find the new land, the new way.
13. Thus the entity, under the guidance of the first Columbus expeditions, sailed into the ocean to the new land. There we find the entity was attempting to escape from himself, as it were, and his environs and activities - in the name Valesqua; but with the return and the activities following, the life and experiences were quite different. For, the expedition gave the opportunity, time and outlet for the entity's real abilities - in depicting upon paper and metals that which the entity had seen.
14. Hence especially the stipple as was given to the activities of the entity, following his first and only expedition upon the seas, gave rise to a way, a manner of giving greater expression, to bring to the awareness of others the entity's concept of nature, or of man and nature in his relationships to things and to materiality.
15. The entity gained, the entity lost, the entity gained, -
2398-2 Page 3
in being true to an urge of Creative Force. For, whatever urge arises in the experience of an entity that is of a Creative nature, is following closer to the divine. Whatever is of a destructive force brings detrimental influences into the experience. Running away from self is detrimental; being creative in the activities brings development.
16. Before that the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during the early periods following the persecutions of those who had accepted the teachings of a Man - in the holy land.
17. The entity was in Thyatira, Thracia and portions of Greece, as an instructor in the schools for the moulding in clay, and those activities as were a portion of those people's activity. Yet the entity attempted to first make or draw upon the walls of the meeting places of some of those groups the activities of that Teacher.
18. Hence the first one drawn was the raising of Lazarus. We find that still portions of this as drawn by the entity may be seen in the old Antioch church, in Silicia. It would be well for the entity one day to seek to see that, its first attempt to draw upon a flat surface.
19. There the entity gained throughout, for it gave to mankind a new concept of manners of expressing that not in words, not in forms, other than as might be interpreted in the mind and the experience of the beholder.
20. The name then was Agnosta.
21. Before that the entity was active in the earth during the return of the peoples from captivity, and the rebuilding of the Holy City and the walls thereof.
22. There the entity was among those who aided in the work of the redecoration in metals, in brass, in the activities about the holy places. The entity was not happy in mind, nor in its physical surroundings, yet brought much to many peoples during that sojourn, that activity.
23. And much that arises in the present experience of the entity comes from those things experienced there, in the Holy City, and in the service rendered.
24. Hold fast to those things that ye tempered there, and brought into the activities of many through that sojourn, - as Jeshua.
25. Before that the entity was in that land when there were the journeyings from Egypt to the promised land, when there were choices being made by the lawgiver of those who would be in the position to supply the needs of the tabernacle built in the wilderness.
26. There the entity was chosen not only by the leaders
2398-2 Page 4
themselves, but by divine intervention, for the drawing especially of the ark, its contents, its manner of workmanship, the hangings for the holy place. All of these were a part of the entity's activity - in the name Abiden, of the children of Judah.
27. These have builded into the experience of the entity that from which it may not wholly remove itself - save by fulfilling in the daily activities the service of love and art for the hopes of man.
28. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, following those periods of activities when there was the reconstruction and the activities of the Priest, as well as the varied groups in establishing the manners and means of communication.
29. The entity was one commissioned to write the communications between the peoples of Atlantis, the peoples in the temples, and the people who had been in the rebellions; thus the Ibex peoples as well as those of the King's own household - hence the manners of preparing the papyrus and the writings in characters as well as in designs for all of these, were a portion of the entity's work there.
30. Then the name was Art-Ex-Elo.
31. As to the activities in the present - we find that those analyses outlined depict the problems, the urges as are latent and manifested in the experience of the present entity.
32. There are the abilities in those fields of art, those fields of service of various natures and characters; that bring the temperamental problems when interpreted in material things.
33. Then, let the entity first know:
34. Do not disturb self as respecting the material things. If thy purpose is kept aright, these will be brought into those lines of activity as to supply the needs of the physical man.
35. Not that this assurance gives thee the privilege of being a spendthrift, to satisfy only material desires. For, the entity must keep self in those manners in which there is the desire to give honest, sincere service in thy activities; that the glory of Him may be manifested, who hast endowed thee with such abilities - yea, who has commissioned thee in thy ways of preserving for mankind the beauties of the Law of laws in man's experience. For, these are only heaven sent.
36. Keep thy mind, thy body, in accord with these, and ye will find beauty in all thy relationships.
37. Ready for questions.

38. (Q) In my work, should I stress portraits, types, or landscapes and scenes? (A) These should be varied. There should be certain portions of time given to landscapes, for that portion of the public to which this appeals; and there will be found greater outlet for same in some communities or centers. However, portraits are those that will bring the most satisfactory remuneration or physical or monetary returns. Studies are well, but not these so much as the others.
39. (Q) What is the best outlet and way of presenting the portraits? (A) As we find, there are very definite manners and ways of this; that is, one leads to another in certain characteristic groupings. For this entity, as we find, those upon the west coast in the present would be the channels, the groups to present same; and there are several years of work there. Make the contacts first through those agencies that will soon be in motion for Gracie Allen and her associates, that will have commissions there - and many of them! These will lead to the filling of the present obligations, and will mean that you will reside on the coast for at least three to four to five years.
40. (Q) What is the best outlet and way of presenting my scenes? (A) Through art centers.
41. (Q) Should I give private exhibits? If so, where? (A) In those centers where such presentations are shown; Cleveland, Toledo, New York, Salt Lake, Los Angeles.
42. (Q) How can I make my Montreal trip successful? (A) As this as we find is for a definite undertaking, under the present EXTREME conditions existent there it will not be monetarily a success in the moment, but it will be of the nature that will eventually bring greater opportunities to the entity.
43. (Q) Through what connection or association should I approach Gracie Allen? (A) Those offices through which she is represented in this city.
44. (Q) Should I move my family back to New York? (A) Rather - in the next nine months, or less - move the family to the west coast!
45. (Q) Is there anything I can do to locate or help my parents? (A) This as we find in the immediate is not easily done; but through the regular channels of those who represent this land there, the inquiries can be begun - and ye will locate same.
46. (Q) Would it be wise for me to associate myself in any way with Mr. James Boyle? (A) We don't find a very good connection here.
2398-2 Page 6
47. (Q) Is there any advice and guidance that may be given at this time regarding my work? (A) Where the entity may instruct others, interest others as an educational feature as in the training for the young, these offer outlets for the moment that will reap for the entity not only satisfaction and contentment but monetary returns also.
