1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2402].
3. Now, as we find, there are conditions which prevent the better normal physical functioning. But in giving those disturbances, and the manner in which these may be eliminated from the system, both the physiological and the pathological conditions must be taken into consideration, - if there is to be a thorough UNDERSTANDING of those influences that produce, and that have produced, the disturbances.
4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2402] we are speaking of, present in this room:
5. Though there may appear to be some disturbance to most of the functioning organs, we do not find a specific organic disturbance, but rather that of a functional nature - as has been indicated - that arises from the physiological condition, producing a pathological reaction.
6. First, then, in the blood supply - here we find a metabolism disturbed, but produced by the slowing of circulation through portions of the system and the excess circulation through other portions of the system.
7. Thus, as indicated, there are greater disturbances in - and disorders arising from - nerve reflexes; to the sympathetic nervous system, or that at times called the sensory, as well as the physical organism of its circulation.
8. The impulses from each of these, to be sure, function through the cerebrospinal nerve center, and the sympathetic or vegetative nerve center; and the centers through which closer connections are made become those areas, in the
2402-1 Page 2
pathological or organic functioning and reaction, that become involved.
9. Thus we find a high nervous body at times, INWARDLY; yet outwardly self-composed, and able to CONTROL those influences which cause disorders within functioning organs.
10. The centers through which the greater stress lies are in the upper dorsal area, and those portions of the cervical area. Thus we find deflections in varied manners. At times there is a fullness to the throat - that causes the excess circulation. There are DEFLECTIONS to the organs controlled in the sensory system, above and below this throat center, that are producing deficiency in the reaction to the auditory forces.
11. HERE, there is a lack of circulation. Thus the inclination for nerve reflexes and impulses has produced a drying condition, or that which has in the present reached a CONGESTED state.
12. This is also shown in the circulation to the vision, and not in a manner that there is lack of reflex here, but rather the impairment - by being slowed - causes the eyes, the ears to become affected, and the body throughout to suddenly become tired - as from exhaustion.
13. As indicated, this is from a deflection in the circulation in those areas where cerebrospinal and sympathetic should coordinate. They are superficial, then, rather than that which has taken hold upon the deeper or the cerebrospinal impulse.
14. As to the activities through the centers, here - for the moment, let's indicate the SOURCES of this disturbance, that arises along the cerebrospinal system when at times the body OPENS - and has opened - the centers for the raising of the spiritual forces and powers through the body. Let it be remembered - there is the body-physical, with all of its attributes - as related to MATERIAL manifestation - as GROWTH is from that assimilated in an organism one sets in motion by those influences for material manifestation of body, mind, soul.
15. Then there is the mental body, accredited oft with activity from reflexes or impulses of the nervous systems of the individual.
16. Then there is the ENTITY, the soul body - that may find material manifestation or expression in the ability not only of BODILY procreation but of every atom, every organ within itself to REPRODUCE itself, its likeness, through the assimilation of that taken within - either physically OR mentally.
17. These each have their attributes, their channels of
2402-1 Page 3
activity.
18. The soul body manifesting in the physical, as we have heretofore indicated, finds expression in what we call today the GLANDULAR systems of the body.
19. In the sensitiveness of this particular body we have found - and there is indicated in the physical as well as the mental and soul - that at times there have been great shocks to the nervous temperament, to the imaginative forces of the body; which have tended to break connections through those physical areas from which impulses arise for physical activity.
20. Hence the body becomes highly emotional, thus causing INTERNAL suppression - not as inhibitions; yet the ABILITIES - as are within this entity's being - to make activity of the spiritual imports; through SUFFERING, through periods of depression of natures that have worked upon the body; such as to bring here - at the 9th DORSAL center, or the solar plexus axis - a disturbance to the liver, the kidneys, and the general activity through the alimentary canal.
21. CLOSELY allied to this activity is especially the lymph and emunctory circulation - that IS the source through which THIS portion - that is, the alimentary canal, specific - receives its assimilated forces for its self-production.
22. Then, when under stress there has been raised - from the lyden gland (internal), through the activities of sex as well as the gland forces internally - that which has brought this engorgement - which in the natural consequence or sources of activity has formed a lesion in the lower portion of the 9th dorsal center, which reflects both upward and downward to organs of the physical system.
23. Thus we have a FUNCTIONAL reaction to the liver and spleen, with the kidneys and the colon, and portions even of the jejunum - in especially the caecum area.
24. These as we find are the sources, the causes of those disturbances within this body.
25. Then - how may these be aided, and what are their reflexes upon the organs of the body?
26. As has been indicated, the first cause - to the throat and the organs of the sensory system - arises from a MULTIPLE pressure DEFLECTING impulse in the upper dorsal area.
27. That pressure in its impulse to the liver prevents the proper assimilation; thus unbalancing the chemical reactions to that assimilating; causing periods of a fullness in the pit of the stomach, or non-activity of that area of the duodenum emptying into the lacteals with the secretions from
2402-1 Page 4
liver (or gall duct), spleen and pancreas.
28. Thus we have at times, from this condition, an irregular or reflex activity to the kidneys; causing a scant but oft activity of the bladder at periods - at others a LACK of activity, and the producing of a burning or a high sensitiveness in the act of passing the urine through the urethra.
29. Neither of these, as first indicated, is organic in itself; purely reflex and functional; based upon a deflection from a highly sensitive body and the attempts of a good physical body to take care of or to meet these excesses in the system.
30. With the lack of the flow of impulse through the lower portion of this lesion at the 9th dorsal, we find a plethora condition existing in the colon itself; thus causing in the lower portion of the descending colon a mild - but at times severe - prolapsus tendency, which in itself causes the formations of gas, or impactions that tend to hinder the circulation or the peristaltic movement; thus causing the natural reabsorption of poisons into the system. And this causes the periods of inability to gain the full strength in the activity of impulses of the imaginative or sympathetic system.
31. The mind then moving much faster than the abilities or the impulses, becomes at times confused; and forgetting becomes a part, and superactivity becomes another part of this reflex action.
32. Then, in meeting the needs of these conditions in the present:
33. As we find, there should be some mechanical (osteopathic) adjustments, and a great deal in the nature of an adjustment in the chemical reactions to the system; and these, because of their very natures, must coincide with the mental, spiritual and physical needs of the body.
34. First we would give, then, that the body begin having - about once a week - a thorough relaxation of the physical body through hydrotherapy; such as, not merely a cabinet bath - for this would be too severe, of itself, upon the metabolism, or that circulation between heart, head, liver and kidneys - but just sufficient of the dry heat to begin the activity of the superficial circulation; and then the fumes or steam upon the body from boiling a pint of water in which there would be put an equal quantity - teaspoonful each - of Witchhazel AND Peanut Oil; using a croup cup, or the like, so that the fumes from these properties may rise over the body, see?
35. Following such a cabinet bath, have a thorough, thorough
2402-1 Page 5
massage and rubdown; stimulating the 9th dorsal center for reaction; making CORRECTIONS in the UPPER dorsal and cervical centers; that the impulse for nerve AND circulation may be mitigated, or allowed to flow normally, see?
36. These should not be in the nature of chiropractic adjustments, but rather the massage AND OSTEOPATHIC adjustments.
37. Then - though the body itself is a good dietician - we would add that property to the diet which is needed for the reaction upon the organs themselves, in supplying elements, aiding them in their contribution to the assimilated forces of the body; as well as a stimulation to same.
38. Eat, then, every other day - with the meal - one Jerusalem artichoke (about the size of a guinea egg); one time taking it raw, the next time cooked in its own juices - as in Patapar Paper - then mashed and seasoned to suit the taste of the body. Skip one day between the taking of same.
39. Do these, in a consistent manner, and we will find we will improve and bring near to normal forces in this body.
40. As to the attitude of the body as related to the mechanical applications of the hydrotherapy, massage, adjustments, and the dietary forces - this need not be stressed; for this is understood. But know this:
41. There is no healing, of any nature, save from and through the divine forces within self! That which is applicable or applied to the bodily functions is to attune the body spiritually, mentally, physically, to that consciousness that is latent - and in this body often manifested.
42. Do that.
43. Ready for questions.
44. (Q) Please give cause and correction for congestion in chest. (A) As indicated, this is the purpose of those things indicated. It is a disturbance of that circulation between the heart, the liver, the kidneys. This is not of any nature that will not respond to the relaxation and stimulation through those areas indicated - in the MANNER indicated.
45. (Q) How may hearing be improved? (A) By those very natures as given; though a little later we would add a stimulation through low electrical forces. But DO NOT give this until it would be suggested! Hence, after some six weeks of following the applications here outlined, we would then give further instructions for coordination of physical, mental and spiritual activities through this body.
2402-1 Page 6
46. (Q) Describe condition of throat, and what may be done to remove effects of many shocks to the system. (A) This has been indicated, and the manners of treating the condition - in the fumes of the equal combination of properties; then the massage to bring the necessary stimulation to the superficial circulation, especially in those centers indicated that need their adjustment and local attention. The only change in the diet is the artichoke, for the activity of the insulin in same; which is not habit forming - as by injections - but acts upon the liver, the pancreas, the kidneys, to PRESERVE the NORMALCY in their activity. Then, do that indicated.
47. (Q) X-Ray shows aneurysms. What should be done to correct this condition? (A) As indicated, these arise from a plethoric condition in the transverse and descending colon; and in the lower colon, from this slowed circulation or dried condition that exists in portions of the colon. This will be materially aided by the massages; for this, of course, will include the abdomen AND some stimulation flatly through the lumbar and sacral area. We would have these done in the associations of Reilly.
48. (Q) Is my etheric body very loosely knit with my physical body? (A) Read what has been given, and we will find this - as we have described - is a portion of the troubles. With these corrections as outlined, and those suggestions as may be indicated later after the pathological conditions are corrected, we may aid in the mental and spiritual and psychological forces of the body.
49. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for Physiotherapist, for giving the hydrotherapy, massage, adjustments, baths, etc. We would refer you to Dr. H. J. Reilly, The Reilly Service, R.C.A. Bldg., NYC. Jerusalem artichoke should be on the market now; if not it may be obtained from John A. Salzer Seed Co. Let us know when you have followed these treatments for six weeks, so we may make an appointment for a Check Rdg., for further instructions.
