1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2414].
3. Now, as we find, there are some definite disturbances which prevent the better normal physical functioning.
4. These are of such natures that at times there appears to be quite a varied effect produced by the nature of the disturbances.
5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2414] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. First, in the blood supply - here we find a form of anemia. Not that there isn't sufficient of the red blood cells, but in the production of same there is the lacking of sufficient in the leucocyte plasm or cells. While in a manner these do not disturb, we find that in many ways they are the results of the more specific disturbance.
7. For, as we find, most of the conditions arise from the nervous systems of the body, and the pressures that are PRODUCING same lie in those areas that AFFECT the system in the way and manner as for this lack of the leucocyte plasm to cause that of nerve exhaustion.
8. This we find at times indicated from the character or nature of the headaches produced. Then at other times there are the conditions such that others will attempt to tell the body there is nothing wrong, that it is merely the imagination. Yet these are definite disturbances to the body, and may affect at times the digestive forces; for, through same the glandular system as well as the assimilating system and blood supply attains or gains its resuscitation.
9. Thus, with a glandular DISTURBANCE, ALL portions of the
2414-1 Page 2
system become at times involved; so that with a little upsetting of any portion of the organism - as at times congestion or cold - we have the expression of an exaggerated condition through lungs, bronchi and larynx and the like; and these give real distress for the time. At other periods we will find the effect of foods causing conditions through the stomach itself proper - as of a nervous indigestion, or as of soreness through same. Then at times we will find the menstrual periods becoming exceedingly exaggerated in either the length or the activity of same upon the general system.
10. All of these, as we find, arise from a specific subluxation that exists in the cerebrospinal system; in the coccyx end of the spine, and a lesion in the 11th and 12th dorsal center. These, with their effects then upon the system, cause the disturbances with this body.
11. In the organs' functioning of the body, we find that the sources of the disturbance arise from those impingements or subluxations in segments along the cerebrospinal system; and that the effect through the glandular force to the supplying of energies in the nerve system causes the disorder. Yet, as also indicated, many of the organs at the TIME have the reflex reaction as to APPEAR to be sources of disturbance; though these, as we find, are NOT ORGANICALLY disturbed.
12. Then, in meeting the needs, or in making applications as would be of the beneficial or corrective nature (for these conditions may be entirely eliminated from this body) - we would first give that there be the mechanical adjustments, osteopathically made; with special reference to those conditions existent in the coccyx end of the spine, - through the sacral and lumbar, then the 9th dorsal and the 11th and 12th dorsal; coordinating the upper dorsal and cervical with the corrections made.
13. Have plenty of rest periods between these treatments; that is, do not give them oftener than about twice each week, you see. Continue these in this manner until about six to ten such adjustments have been made. Then leave these off for a period.
14. After this first series of the six to ten osteopathic adjustments, in the manner indicated - THEN begin with the general hydrotherapy in which particular reference would be given to the massage as will STIMULATE the better superficial circulation - as in reference to supplying energies to the superficial coordinating with the deeper circulation. For such massaging, we would use an equal combination of Olive Oil (Pure) and Peanut Oil. These should be massaged, of course, from the feet, the knees,
2414-1 Page 3
across the hips, across the area about the diaphragm, the shoulders, the head, the neck. After such a massage there would be a rubdown, to be sure, with alcohol. There should be taken about six to eight of these - given once to twice a week. Have the general hydrotherapy treatment, you see, with especially this character of massage with the oils indicated here.
15. Then - after the hydrotherapy treatments and massage of the type outlined - have ANOTHER series of the osteopathic adjustments, or ATTUNEMENTS, that would be of a STIMULATING nature; THIS time having them only about once a week.
16. Also during the second series of osteopathic treatments (not before), begin with taking ADIRON as a tonic; one pellet with the noon meal and one pellet with the evening meal.
17. At the same period begin with taking CALCIOS twice a week, about the quantity as would be spread upon a wafer; that we may supply the energies that are lacking in the glandular forces of the leucocyte force in the nerve energies. This would be taken at mealtime, only about twice a week, you see.
18. Continue both of these for about five to six weeks; but do not begin either of these until the series of the second period of osteopathic treatments; for there should be first eliminated from the system (through the other applications, you see) the CAUSES of this nerve disturbance, this glandular reaction, and the general tendency for organs to become upset. THEN the reaction of these properties as tonics will be better active in the changing of the chemical reactions of the foods of the body, and the digestive forces - after the other corrections have been made.
19. In the matter of diet - keep away from too much of meats. Not that meats should not be a part of the diet if so desired, but never fried meats. Preferably have fish, fowl lamb, but these never fried.
20. Beware of too much of white breads. Have plenty of all characters of foods that carry Vitamins B-1 and G. These are found the more in fresh vegetables and fruits that are yellow in their color - as in canned peaches - using only the yellow variety; as in corn or corn meal, using only the yellow variety; as in carrots both raw and cooked; and so on. These will be found to be MOST beneficial, most agreeable, and easily digested.
21. Do these, and we will find we will bring the normal conditions for this body, [2414].
22. Ready for questions.
23. (Q) What can I do to make my hair thicker and less (I
2414-1 Page 4
mean more) oily? (A) The vitamins and activities supplied that there may be the better glandular forces active in the thyroids - which we have included in those suggestions indicated.
24. (Q) What shall I do for sinus trouble? (A) This, too, we have indicated as a part of the disturbance, but is PURELY reflex as yet. It comes from the nervous disturbance that hinders the circulation, and - as indicated - a circulation slow in supplying the rebuilding forces in the nerve energy - that is, the leucocyte plasm in the lymph and the emunctory circulation.
25. (Q) Would it be possible for me to wear contact lenses? (A) Be possible. As we find, these are not NECESSARY - if those corrections are made in the manner indicated of those disturbances which CAUSE the needs of such in the system at the present.
26. (Q) If wearing them, how many hours could I wear them continuously? (A) Use the own judgement here - because it is NOT necessary - unless just desired.
27. (Q) Are the pains in my right hand and three fingers rheumatism, or the pain in my upper back? (A) The effect of the disturbance between the deeper and superficial circulation. This is to be stimulated through the hydrotherapy and massage treatments, just as the osteopathic corrections of the subluxations indicated would relieve these tensions upon the glandular system.
28. (Q) Should I have another operation for ingrown toenails? Can these be cured? (A) Why not remove them by the use of a little soda and spirits of camphor? Each evening put a little under the nail - it will remove them and no bad effects! Moisten baking soda with spirits of camphor. This in a very little of down or cotton would be pressed under the edge of the nail each evening, with a toothpick or the like. It will remove same! [See 2414-1, Par. R1 re 3/21/83 Dr. Joe McNamara's report.] Do these, as we have indicated. Do not be in that position of doing part and not all, and then feel as if not receiving the full benefits. These are to be given in a consistent manner. Be consistent with self, for the manifestations of the better physical, mental and spiritual self. And - with thy health - USE same, not for personal aggrandizement but for the GLORY of health. For, LIFE is the manifestation of God!
29. We are through for the present.

Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (11/29/40 GD's note: See extra sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for Osteopath. We would refer you to Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., New York City, who has had considerable experience with following such suggestions in Readings. See extra sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for Physiotherapist, when the time comes for this type of treatment. We would refer you to Dr. H. J. Reilly, The Reilly Service, R. C. A. Bldg., 1250 Sixth Ave., N.Y.C., who has also been very cooperative in following the treatments exactly AS suggested in the Readings. ADIRON is manufactured by The Lawrence Laboratories, Chicago, Ill. - in case you are not able to obtain it from your local druggist. It was first put out under the name CODIRON, but they had to change it to ADIRON because Codiron conflicted with another product of that name. It sells for $1 a bottle of 60 tablets. The Readings say it is the best balanced vitamin tablet on the market. CALCIOS is distributed by A. A. Nichoson, The Colloidal Health Products Corp., Greenvale, L.I., N.Y. It is a syrupy paste that sells for $2.50 a jar. The Readings say it is the best way of assimilating free calcium. If you have any difficulty with any of the treatment, we'd suggest that you get in touch with Mrs. E. O. Brown, Secretary to Mr. David E. Kahn, 206 Lexington Ave., New York City. I'm sure she would be glad to go over the Reading with you. Or, we'd be glad to have you write us direct to Virginia Beach. Ques. answered without being asked: Will I have headaches 3 or 4 times a week for the rest of my life? Why do I have indigestion so often? Will I ever be able to eat practically everything or always have to be very careful of my diet?) my diet?)
