Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [2418].

3. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better normal functioning. These affect the system in such manners as to indicate warnings that these be corrected; else there are tendencies and inclinations which would be inclined to become very aggravating conditions - ASSUMING proportions that would be of a constitutional nature, thus hindering better physical, mental and spiritual activities.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2418], we are speaking of:

5. First, in the blood supply we find conditions indicated of a high nervous temperament, and at times producing effects that become very irritating to the general disposition and at variance to the purposes and desires of the mental body.

6. These as we find arise from pressures as produced in the nervous system, through not only reflex activity from the deeper or primary cause but as warnings that - with these upset conditions - there becomes a nervous tendency to the activity especially of the organs of assimilation.

7. Hence the inability to assimilate the food; slowness of digestion; formations of gas; and tendencies toward constipation at times.

8. We find that in the present these are inclined to be reflex actions, but with these continued we would find that there would be the tendency towards the inactivity or overactivity of some of the organs, with the changing conditions. This we find indicted especially as related to the ability of the liver, the heart, the spleen, pancreas,

2418-1 Page 2

AND the activity of the gall duct. Hence the body should be warned respecting same.

9. In the nervous system we find, as indicated, that both the basic causes and the reflexes are the greater disturbances; but these that are inclinations at times become, in the present, more aggravating.

10. For, the deeper conditions - as the subluxations in the lumbar, sacral AND the coccyx area, as well as a lesion in the lower portion of the 9th dorsal area - cause a suppression periodically, or pains at the periods of menstruation.

11. For, we find, from such - combined with the effects from a period some time back when there was some neuralgial pain in same - the womb is in such a position as to cause a filling without the inclination to empty properly. Thus the needs at such times for the helpful influences, or sedatives, to "get through," as it were, the tendencies for all those aggravations which arise, or the reflexes in the nervous system that upset other portions of the body.

12. These as we find are the disturbing forces with this body.

13. In making for corrections - we would first give that there be taken a series of osteopathic adjustments; with special reference first to the conditions existent in the sacral, lumbar, coccyx and 9th dorsal areas; with GENERAL treatments combined with same at times, for the general nervousness.

14. As we find, these should be taken in periods of about three weeks, then rest from them two weeks, then another series of same.

15. These as we find SHOULD correct those tendencies for this curvature that exists, by the lesions in the cerebrospinal system in the areas indicated - unless there are other conditions that arise. THEN there would be the necessity for the application of local packs to correct same.

16. Begin immediately with the adjustments, then; particularly for the lumbar, sacral and lower areas of the body; coordinating in a GENERAL way - about every other treatment - the upper portions of the body, where the better eliminations or drainages are to be set up.

17. Once a week or more, if there is greater irritation, during the period that the osteopathic adjustments are being made (though NOT during the menstrual periods, of course), we would use a vaginal douche of an Atomidine solution. To a quart and a half of water, body temperature, use a teaspoonful of Atomidine - mixed thoroughly; and only use in

2418-1 Page 3

the Fountain Syringe. This will tend to act as the antiseptic for the increased circulations through these areas during the periods of treatments.

18. Each day after the heavier meal of the day, about twenty minutes after the heaviest meal, you see, we would take a quarter teaspoonful of ALCAROID; first dissolved in a small quantity of water, then the glass filled, and then another glass of water taken afterwards. Do this each day for ten days, then leave off for a week to ten days, and take again. Only take it once a day, though, after the heavier meal of the day. This will act as an assimilator and digestant, and be effective. It will reduce the acidity, aid in the digestion, and keep down the tendencies for gas.

19. About once a week, after the noon meal - but while still at the table, you see, or with the meal, take a few drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin (five to six drops) in half a glass of water. This will aid the stimulated conditions for betterments to the general nervous system, and to the organs of elimination.

20. In the diets - have quantities of fruit juices each day; orange juice with lemon in same, or grapefruit if preferred; these at the morning meals, principally - with whole wheat toast and the yolk of an egg if so desired. At times a little crisp bacon may be taken, or hot cakes, waffles or the like - but with honey and NOT with syrup; preferably using the buckwheat or wholewheat flour, or corn meal, rather than white flour.

21. Noons - let the meal consist principally of raw vegetables; as carrots, lettuce, salads of any kind, or soups.

22. Evenings - principally a well-balanced diet of vegetables, preferably cooked in Patapar Paper (for this body); for the salts and juices preserved in such a manner of preparation are more effective in supplying the needed vitamins and the needed salts for the body. Not a great deal of meat, and never any fried meats or fried potatoes or the like. Fish, fowl or lamb should be used preferably as the meats.

23. If such a diet does not correct or produce better or sufficient eliminations, use colonic irrigations or high enemas. These may be taken by self. Use in the first quart and a half of water, body temperature, a heaping teaspoonful of table salt and a level teaspoonful of baking soda; dissolved thoroughly. Let the water be body-temperature; not colder, not hotter. This will aid in purifying the system, relieving the tension through the pelvis and the abdomen, as well as purifying the colon area. In the last

2418-1 Page 4

water, after there has been the evacuation by using the salt and soda solution, use another quart of water - body temperature - with a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline stirred in it. This will prevent any irritation in the lower colon, or to the lower portion of the alimentary canal.

24. In the early portion of the treatments we would take one of such high enemas, especially; and then later on they should be taken when and as needed - to produce better eliminations.

25. The high enema during the first portion of the treatment will purify the system so that the application of the osteopathic adjustments, the diets, etc., will be more EFFECTIVE for the body.

26. Do these - continuing all of them in the order and ratio indicated - and we will find we will bring the bettered conditions for this body.

27. Ready for questions.

28. (Q) I am nauseated quite a lot and have a hard time in eating. (A) This arises from the disturbances as we have indicated. Hence the beginning of the ALCAROID and the other properties and applications outlined.

29. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Osteopath.
