Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [2440], 2506 Davidson Ave., Bronx, N.Y., who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his mental and material affairs. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [2440].

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) Shall I keep the bankrupt concern called the N.Y. Breakfast Set Corp., whose assets I recently purchased, or shall I maintain same and start manufacturing under a new trade name? (A) We would start manufacturing under a new trade name. It would be well to keep this, but to manufacture under another trade name.

5. (Q) Is there a possibility to make a success of this business? (A) To be sure, many things are to be taken into consideration; but as we find there should be a success if that attitude is maintained as we have indicated for the body. The abilities are there; and this as an outlet in the present, as we find, could be made most successful.

6. (Q) What procedure do you advise? (A) First, organize in a satisfactory way and manner. It would be well to retain one or more of those who have been associated with this business. Select from those the one or ones possibly more in keeping with self's own ideas and ideals. Obtain aid through the former associates as help in same.

7. (Q) Do you advise that I try to get a partner interested in the new concern? (A) As just indicated, some former associates - brother-in law, or the like; and one - not more than one - of the former associates in this organization.

8. (Q) Should I keep any of the ex-partners of the N.Y. Breakfast Set Corp., namely, [N...], [Leo...], [H...] - in my employ if I undertake manufacturing on the same premises? Can they be trusted?

(A) As indicated, keep one. Make the own choices. Find that one nearer in keeping with the ideals and purposes of self. But make the purposes and the materialization of same creative. Do not "underhand" anyone.

9. (Q) Shall I approach my brothers-in-law for aid in any enterprise I may contemplate? (A) As we have indicated.

10. (Q) I am very much interested in the moving picture industry. Can you suggest any means by which I can make the correct contact? (A) If this business is to be carried on, regarding which information has just been sought, then the asking for other connections is not very good judgement. Choose that which is desirable, and, as we have indicated, if there is the correct set up this can be made a most successful business.

11. (Q) Why haven't my associations with [257] materialized up to the present? (A) These are developing, and if these activities are carried out here in the manufacturing, we will find many associations and connections that will be most beneficial.

12. (Q) Will the Flushing National Bank of Flushing, L.I., Vice-Pres. Mr. McGrath, man in charge, give me full financial cooperation, and is he the proper man with whom to make this contact? (A) If there is the right set up, you may obtain full cooperation - and this is well.

13. (Q) Shall I manufacture breakfast sets or novelties, or liquidate the business? (A) Breakfast sets, novelties; and, through the defense channels, offer and show the willingness to make things for the Government also. This should go through the regular channels - Knudsen and that group, see?

14. (Q) Any other suggestions? (A) These we would do.

15. (Q) Is there any article that I can manufacture for the government at this time? (A) As indicated, indicate - with the new organization - to the proper channels - that as CAN be manufactured, see? and there will be the selecting of some articles that may be manufactured here.

16. (Q) How shall I proceed to make contact? (A) Just as indicated, go through the regular channels.

17. (Q) If I maintain the purchased business, how and where can I get the proper mechanical superintendent and production man? (A) The way will open for this, as the developments are brought about for the organizing and the policy making; IF

there is the seeking for such, see?

18. (Q) Would it be beneficial to move the machinery and equipment of the bankrupt N.Y. Breakfast Set Corp. to another part of the East? If so, where? (A) We would work where it is.

19. (Q) Would it be advisable to open a wholesale furniture showroom in Brooklyn? (A) This we do not find advisable, if the other is to be carried on; and this as we find is the most advisable to do in the present.

20. (Q) Should I try to purchase dimension stock and assemble and finish same in N.Y.? If so, what concern can make the stock for me? (A) As we find, follow these things as indicated - don't ask for others in connection with these. Don't have too many irons in the fire.

21. (Q) Why doesn't my wife make any attempts of reconciliation with me? (A) She's made as much attempt as you have yourself! Those that would have friendliness shown must show themselves friendly! Those that would be forgiven must also forgive! This is not a one-sided proposition. ACT correctly, else you will spoil all your opportunities given you.
