Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will have before you the entity [2454], who seeks information, advice and guidance in a mental and spiritual reading, regarding her life, health, and home associations. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: In giving advice or counsel to this entity, the premises from which such should be drawn should be presented, at least for the entity's consideration.
3. From the advent of the souls of man into materiality, laws were initiated; such as is evidenced by the psalmist, "The heavens declare the glory of God, the firmament sheweth his handiwork; day unto day uttereth speech, night unto night sheweth his handiwork." And yet how oft might each soul cry out, "WHY art Thou, O God, mindful of the spirit of man, when he stumbleth so blindly and hateth his brother?"
4. This would indicate, then, that God in His love and His mercy hath given to man that with which the individual may exalt His name in the earth. And as He hath from days of old, He has given those examples in the seers and prophets, - yea in this latter day hath He spoken more direct through His Son. Yet these are self-evident facts:
5. Man's destiny lies within his individual grasp, doth he take hold upon those laws, those self-evident truths. Applying them in his relationships one to another there may come the knowledge that He walketh and talketh with those who would, who do, exalt and glorify His name in the earth.
6. Man is hedged about by beliefs, by cults, by schisms, by isms - yes. And those things have been created by man that he hath given power in themselves to rule his days. Yet this is only because man has given them such power. For the spirit of truth and wisdom is mighty, and a bulwark of faith and hope to those that trust in Him. But they that give others, other things, power over themselves become subject unto them. Thus hath He declared, as was given of Him who is the way, the truth and the light, the first, yea the whole of the commandment of the Lord is encompassed in this: "Thou shalt have no other god before me, neither in heaven
2454-4 Page 2
nor in earth, nor in things seen or unseen, but thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, thine soul and thine body, and thy neighbor as thyself."
7. This then, is the premise from which all judgements by the individual are to be drawn; knowing that the law of the Lord is perfect, it converteth the soul; knowing that the promise of the Christ is, "Lo, I am with thee always, even unto the end of the world."
8. He was in the beginning, He is the end. And as ye walk in the light of His promise, of His words, ye may know the way ye go. For His light shineth in the darkness and maketh the paths straight for those that seek His face.
9. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) How can I make my spiritual concepts more a part of my daily living? (A) As indicated in that above.
11. (Q) What must I do to be open and receptive to spiritual promptings? (A) As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them. These, as given, are the premises, the principles, the basis of thy faith, of thy hope, and for becoming conscious of knowing and realizing it must be a choice by self, a purpose from within, an ideal held before self continuously.
12. (Q) What is it that seems to block the channel at times? (A) As has been so oft, yet so aptly stated, "I am persuaded there is no power in heaven or hell that may separate the individual from the love of God save self."
13. (Q) How can I be of more help to my husband, [2746]? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed, rightly emphasizing every phase of thy associations and thy experience, and keeping self unspotted from the world. In this way may ye lend the greater aid to thy husband, to thy children, to thy friends. And thus may ye indeed CONFOUND the foes of light.
14. (Q) Am I giving my son [2542] the right mental and spiritual guidance for the best development? (A) These choices may be made in self alone. The law pointeth out, and who is to be judge of thy purposes, thy aims? He hath given, "Train the child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart therefrom." Put the emphasis in the child's life where it belongs. Make thy judgements as from his OWN basis of interpretation. Thou knowest his weakness, thou knowest him altogether. Minimize the faults, magnify the virtues, as ye would have thy Father-God magnify these in thine own undertakings. Forgive, for as ye forgive ye are forgiven. And with what

measure ye mete it is measured to thee again.
15. (Q) Have his physical treatments been properly given? Why has he apparently not responded to treatment? (A) We haven't his physical treatments.
