Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2479].

3. Now as we find, there are disturbances that prevent the better physical functioning of the body. We find that these at times become somewhat complicated, though the complications are more in the effects produced than being the primary or first cause.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2479] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. First, in the blood supply - we find that this shows some deficiencies, owing to the manner of assimilating the food values for the body and the effects produced by the position of the stomach itself as related to the assimilation.

6. Also in the blood stream we find effects of a form of anemia. While there have been periods when the affectation from same arose from the lack of the whole oxidization of the blood supply, through the conditions in the pulmonary system, we find in the present that more arises from the lack of the balance in the gastric flows and - as indicated - the position of the stomach itself as related to the activity of the gastric forces of digestion.

7. This affects, then, more the lower hepatic circulation than the conditions in the upper hepatics - (that is, the liver and the gall duct itself), though these become sympathetically involved. Thus the characterization as indicated in the form of the blood forces themselves.

8. In the nervous systems of the body do we find one of the sources, and also a result, of the conditions that hinder more in the present.

2479-1 Page 2

9. We find pressures in the areas of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th dorsal that hinder the activities in the stomach itself, as to its position, or as to the activities in the lower portion of the stomach and through the duodenum.

10. Also in the lumbar axis we find a condition that hinders in the activities to the lower hepatics. Thus a condition in which there are excesses at times of a character of acids in the system, as to become a detrimental influence to the activities of the assimilating system.

11. As to the organs themselves - we find brain forces very good. Reflexes and reactions are very good.

12. Organs of the sensory system respond at times to those disturbances through the nervous system - as fullnesses in the throat or the larynx at times, when attempting to speak. At other times there are the effects to the eyes. Not that the eyes are weak, yet there is a blurry effect to the vision for periods at a time.

13. These are purely reflex and, as indicated, would be materially aided with the helpful forces for the correcting of the disturbances outlined.

14. In the throat, bronchi and lungs - these show better conditions than have existed through the area, though at times this becomes a part of the disturbances as to the purifying of the blood supply - which adds to the irritations at times to the body.

15. However, these would be materially aided with the corrections of the more specific disturbances that at present exist.

16. In the activity of the heart as related to the liver and kidneys, we find here at times quite a variation in the pulsation; though the metabolism of the system indicates almost the keeping of a balance when the rest of the system is in more perfect accord.

17. As to the digestive forces, then - first, the stomach itself is tipped in such a position because of the lack of the condition in the upper dorsal area to hold that impulse for activity as to keep it in its proper position.

18. Hence the conditions that arise when the digestion is easily upset, either as that of a sympathetic reaction or as a specific lack of the vital forces for digestive activity in the system.

19. Thus at times through portions of the jejunum and the colon we have disturbances that bring reactions not tended for the best eliminations; producing acidity in a form in the system itself.

20. The spleen, pancreas and the liver are only upset occasionally from sympathetic reactions to the system.

2479-1 Page 3

21. Kidneys show an acidity that is not good. Thus the irritations at times are brought to the activities of the pelvis, as well as to the bladder; through the reflexes as well as the general nervous condition as produced from a subluxation existing in the lumbar axis.

22. These as we find are the disturbances that exist in the present with this body.

23. Then, in making corrections for the conditions as we find at present:

24. We would have the mechanical (that is, osteopathic) corrections made of those conditions existing in the dorsal as well as in the lumbar and sacral area.

25. Take two series of such osteopathic adjustments; with particular reference to the corrections needing to be made in the areas of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th dorsal, and in the lumbar axis, and through the sacral. Take about ten adjustments and corrections in the first series. Those corrections made in the upper dorsal area would be stimulating, while those made in the lumbar and sacral would be relaxing; these all to coordinate, or be coordinated - of course, with the cervical as well as the rest of the dorsal area.

26. When the first six to ten adjustments have been made, leave them off a period of two to three weeks; and then take six to ten more.

27. With the corrective measures, have a belt fitted to better hold the position of the stomach itself. This had best be not elastic but gauze made into a band that would be tightly fitted about the body, see? This will be found to be most helpful.

28. Also we would take in the system a combination of digestants, as well as to absorb poisons and cleanse the colon, as well as for the gastric juices of the stomach itself.

29. Take at each meal, in a little water, one to three drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin.

30. Every other day, at one of the meals, take half a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth and ten drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin stirred together in a glass of water.

31. Begin with a corrective diet, which would be one tending towards the alkalin nature, with sufficient of the fruit acids to correct the inclination for the disturbance in eliminations.

32. Hence, have plenty of such as figs - stewed, pressed, raw or the like. Use plenty of raisins and prunes in all the different forms. Take some one of these, in some form, each day.

2479-1 Page 4

33. As to meats - use fish, fowl and lamb.

34. Preferably have little or no fried foods.

35. Do not combine citrus fruits and cereals at the same meal.

36. Do these, and we should find quite a difference in the general as well as the specific health of this body, [2479].

37. Ready for questions.

38. (Q) What osteopath would you recommend? (A) Richardson.

39. (Q) Is there anything wrong in the pelvic region, as in the tubes? (A) As indicated, the acidity as produced through the kidneys and bladder causes reflexes to the pelvic organs. These are only sympathetic, and with the corrections osteopathically made in the lumbar area as to set up the relaxations, we find that these will clear. There has been some congestion. These will clear.

40. (Q) Do I have the understanding necessary to overcome this condition? (A) As indicated, there are complications in the EFFECTS produced. We would use the mechanical - that is, osteopathic - means to aid in overcoming the disturbance.

41. (Q) Will I need to make any preparation other than this treatment to prepare for the baby I am planning to have? [GD's note: She already had one little girl.] (A) These corrections made in the manner indicated should not only make for the better general physical condition but also better fit the body for having a baby. For, it would never do to undertake such with the present disturbance to the kidneys, for this would be a disturbance throughout the period of gestation - as well as making hardships upon the foetus itself.

42. (Q) What can I do to bring about a harmonious triune, spiritually, mentally and physically? (A) As we have oft indicated through this channel, there are physical reactions, there are mental reactions, and there are spiritual reactions. These, to be sure, are one. They are the triune necessary for the best mental, physical and spiritual well-being; but each in its own order. If it is a physical disturbance, correct it physically. If the disturbance is in the mental attitudes, then keep them in creative ways and manners - as of the body being a channel for the best spiritual and mental activities through same. Thus there may be brought the more perfect accord and harmony throughout the body AND being.

43. (Q) In which unit, or units, am I lacking?

2479-1 Page 5

(A) In a physical disturbance of a mechanical nature. As indicated, the condition exists as related to the assimilating system - and that disturbing the physical organisms; though it is functional and NOT organic. Thus it may be corrected through mechanical means and bring the better physical, mental and spiritual well being.
