1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '20 - change - '17 - unusual surroundings - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now known as [2489].
4. What an unusual pattern!
5. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these are chosen from same with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling it to more fully and to better fill that purpose for which it entered this present experience.
6. We find that many things and conditions must be taken into consideration in giving these interpretations. The composite is being given of those influences from the astrological as well as the material sojourns to which it may be said that the entity is amenable or subject.
7. In analyzing the sources from which these records are taken - know that the astrological influences are not existent because the sun and the planets or stars were in a certain position, as is sometimes considered. Not that there is no activity to be induced or deduced from a study of astrology. For, as each soul is a part of the Creative Force, it is given to rule in the planetary environs and to rule the universe. Thus each activity of an entity, as a
2489-1 Page 2
part of the Creative Force, has its influence upon those activities in the earth as well as in those spheres of consciousness about the earth.
8. It is just the same as the activities of an individual through any given experience in the material plane are influenced by what the entity under such environs has done ABOUT creative influences in its experience.
9. For, good alone lives on; for it IS creative in its nature.
10. But, we find from the astrological sojourns that emblems and symbols mean a great deal to the entity, in its innate self, or in its study of the deeper self. Not that a condition is produced in which the individual may be said to be subject to such, or superstitious; yet facts, figures, conditions in relationships to things, to peoples, to activities, are things that are of interest to the entity.
11. Thus the interest in things of that nature is indicated by the pattern upon the book, or upon the record from which this interpretation is being attempted to be given.
12. At times much of these patterns and many of these emblems become a conglomeration in the experience of the entity. At other times we find that they run very true to the rule which has been determined by some students of such.
13. The entity may know from this that no influence or urge, whether astrological or from material sojourns, surpasses the will of the individual entity - that birthright given to man, and to the sons of men, which makes man in this three-dimensional world different from the rest of creation. Only man may defy his Maker.
14. These, then, are the purposes for which each soul enters material experiences; to make self aware of - and to conform with - creative purposes in material manifestations.
15. Thus in interpreting these records the desire is to make them helpful in the experience of this entity; minimizing then the faults, in self and in others; magnifying the virtues in all with whom the entity may come in contact.
16. For, as the body becomes that which it assimilates, so the mind - as it feeds upon the mental and spiritual food - grows toward that development of its awareness as to its relationships, or from such it denies that which is the basis of life itself.
17. For, life IS the manifestation of that influence or force called God in the material plane.
18. From the patterns indicated in the book, as well as composite urges - we find that the fields in which the entity will find the greater outlet for its activities in this material plane are in CONSTRUCTIVE things; as:
2489-1 Page 3
manufactured articles, or home economics, or the abilities for individuals to meet, through aid, obligations - for creative things, that have to do with nature.
19. These urges are from the astrological as well as material sojourns.
20. Astrologically, we find Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn as the constructive influences in the experience of the entity. These are not all, but they are those forces which if applied may bring the more awareness of creative influence in the experience of the entity.
21. In Mercury we find the highmindedness, the desire for an equalization in activities as to relationships one with another.
22. Hence a very constructive home influence is a part of the experience throughout the entity's activity.
23. Also from Mercury with Jupiter, there is a high appreciation of sincerity.
24. Through Mercury and Jupiter we find the urge for dealing with things with which people have to work; as well as individual activities.
25. In Saturn we find the changes that have been wrought in the experience, or the associations and activities; the periods of disappointments in individuals, as well as in circumstances that seem to thwart the individual in a purpose which had been set before self. These have come about apparently through the fault of others.
26. The lesson to be gained is patience. For, know - as ye would that men should do to thee, do ye even so to them - is the law as well as the gospel. This implies that of the universal constructive force, that as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren ye do it unto thy Maker; and that if you would have that which would bring forgiveness from thy better self with the Creative Force or First Cause, you cannot harbor hate, malice, injustice, nor even jealousy, in your own conscience. For these are only the seeds of discontent; while the seed of the spirit are hope and love, brotherly kindness, gentleness, patience. These grow. The others are as weeds in the yard of life of the individual, that bring corruption and discouragement.
27. As to the appearances in the earth - not all may be indicated here; but these indicate that through which the activities of the entity have brought about an influence in the present.
28. Before this, then, the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods of the early settlings in the land; when there were divisions or grants made for settlers.
2489-1 Page 4
29. The entity was among those groups in and about the land of the present nativity, in the name then Connelly.
30. In that experience the entity became endowed with the ability to contract for the products of the land, and aided in the preparing of manners and means for the distributing to others of the land those products that were grown in that same land.
31. Thus we find that the entity rose to one of power; yet when this was turned into self-indulgence it brought disputations and those conditions in which those of the entity's fellow men took advantage of such weaknesses.
32. Hence we find the entity's abilities in the present to direct or to control the activities of large groups of individuals, especially as related to manufactured articles from that grown in the soil, or those activities in which aids are given those who are active in producing from the soil those things for development of the land - as through that experience.
33. The entity gained and lost through that sojourn.
34. In the present the entity will meet many of those problems that were a portion of that experience.
35. Before that the entity was in the Roman and the promised land; being among those who were the tax gatherers. The entity was not among those who levied the tax, but was of the Romans in the Palestine land close to those days when the Master walked in the earth.
36. The entity aided in judging the abilities of groups, cities or counties, to pay tax, and also in seeing that those who gathered the tax made their reports properly through the regular channels.
37. Hence, again, we find those present abilities of the entity to pass judgments, as it were, either through the letter of the law or the spirit of the law; not only from the material but from the mental and spiritual angle.
38. And, as the entity has learned long since, unless a loan is a good moral loan it isn't a very good loan in any sense!
39. The entity gained throughout that sojourn. For, as in the present, while the political and religious forces do not always act or appear compatible, they must be practical in their relationships one to another. For, the divine law remains, ever - know that all life is one before Him (or all lives, if ye choose to term it so), even as thy Lord, thy God is one.
40. Thus each experience builds the ability of the individual, either mentally, spiritually or physically, to make application in whatever may be the next experience.
41. And in this relationship, remember that opportunity
2489-1 Page 5
arises with each meeting, each association. Each problem has its opportunity for choice of spiritual, mental, material opportunities. They are one in their greater, their better sense.
42. The name then was Philas; and the entity was of those first appointed to such offices under the one who was the companion of Cleopas in the walk to Emmaus.
43. Then, the entity would do well to become not only acquainted closely associated with that individual in this present life.
44. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there were those turmoils and strifes which eventually brought about the banishment of the priest.
45. The entity was not of those that would be called advisors to the King, but a brother of the Young King's father. Thus the entity was an influence, a power during that experience, but in the capacities for the activities in the making of linens, the making of paper, the making of those products for the conveniences of the peoples. Such were the entity's activities.
46. Thus, though there arose turmoils, the entity kept steadily on at those attempts to improve the surroundings for the activities of the natives, also the Atlanteans, as well as those who brought about other rebellions.
47. When there was the reestablishing of the activities with the return of the Priest, one of the chief factors became that of vocational guidance. And the entity then - as Ar-Ar-Tibeth - acted in the capacity of directing the vocational guidance of those purified in the Temple of Sacrifice, as well as those who - by their practical selves - made application of those tenets throughout the experience.
48. Then, as to the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain - and how:
49. First - analyze thyself; making use of the creative influences in thy experiences with thy fellow man day by day.
50. In the fields of service as superintendent of mills, or in connection with banks - or of loans, the entity may find the outlets that will give expression to the greater abilities of the entity; offering the greater opportunities for the application of the ideals of this entity.
51. Know in Whom ye have believed, and as to whether the Author of such beliefs is able to keep that committed unto Him against ANY experience.
52. Rightly divide the words of truth; that is, putting emphasis where it is needed; keeping self unspotted from the
2489-1 Page 6
world; condemning not self, condemning not others.
53. Be patient; and ye will find greater and greater His walks with thee - even as ye learned from thy associate of his walk with Him.
54. Ready for questions.
55. (Q) Is it advisable for me to go into business for myself; if so, what kind of business, and where? (A) If there is to be a change, we would advise to make those associations or connections where there is a superintending of the distribution of manufactured materials - as cloth or such.
56. (Q) How should I go about to make the proper contacts to get into this kind of work? (A) The present work allows abilities for the entity to know the needs in various centers for such conditions. Not that the entity would take advantage of any, but rather use the opportunity for the betterment of self and as an outlet for self - if there is a change desired. In the present environs, as we find - while there will be many changes (for a re-districting is coming about) the entity will have the opportunity to carry on, if so desired.
57. (Q) Would it be well to consider the real estate business? (A) Not as satisfactory. Though this is in line, of course, with that field indicated, we find it is not as satisfactory as would be an association with banks or the like, or an association for the distribution of manufactured goods.
58. (Q) Should I consider the bulb business with Mr. Pierce of Orlando, Fla. (A) This is again bordering on the type of activity indicated, but this is not the best. It may be used, to be sure, as a stepping-stone for the next. But know what you want, and then go after it!
59. (Q) Would this enable me to meet my increasing financial obligations during the next few years, especially to educate my daughters? (A) As we find, if there is the application of self, have no fear that there will not be the provisions made - through the activities of self and its associations and connections - for the carrying on of duties, as well as the privileges of such an education or activity. Keep in those directions that are set before thee. These directions for the activities will bring about the associations and connections that bring the best influence in the experience of the entity.
