1. LS: You will describe in detail, also tell how to make, a device, as simple as possible to do the work, that could be attached to a radio receiving set to eliminate static. Also give the reason why this device so described eliminates static.
2. EC: Yes, we would prepare as this, which would be connected with that of the electrical energy as is stored to receive the energy as set in motion and as produces the vibration in the receiving tubes.
3. Prepare a tube as this: glass, capsule shape. As to the size, would be variation according to the receiving or the storage energy used on receiver. This capsule in shape would be enclosed therein and wire of the shape of an eight, and on each prong of this a disc, in which there is a slot made, so that the opening as is used to reduce or open the receiving set could be adjusted. These discs, three in number, on each turn, making three, six, nine, twelve discs. These would be of the size of the inner tube; that is of the inside of the tube. These would be adjusted to meet the needs of the static as is shown in the atmosphere at the time the instrument was attuned to the receiving set.
4. As to how this acts with the vibration:
5. These discs are attached to the post by those of the vibration necessary to induct vibration, or that of beeswax. When these are adjusted with the slot in disc they act as the muffling sound to vibration as received. Not reducing the vibration but eliminating that of vibration not in attune to the adjusting station. This may be easily adjusted to any now in use.
6. (Q) Of what material should the discs be made? (A) These should be made of mica.
7. (Q) Of what material should the wire be made? (A) Copper.
8. (Q) Should the glass tube be air-tight? (A) If it were it would not adjust to these vibrations. The adjusting screw will be below the connection with the glass tube, so that these will be adjusted by the turning of the

screw to admit or to eliminate the vibrations as received through that set in motion with all universal vibration.
9. (Q) Are the discs all adjusted at the same time or separately by this screw? (A) Discs are so set on the figure eight so that by one turn of the screw all are adjusted to open or close the vibrations as pass through.
10. (Q) Are the discs set on the figure eight at the same distance? (A) Each set on the end or turn in figure perpendicular, so that may be contained in the tube or capsule.
11. (Q) Should a washer be placed between the discs? (A) Only that of the wax as used.
12. (Q) Have you anything further to say regarding this device? (A) There are many other changes in a receiving set of radio and much may be said. This we find will eliminate static, as produced by heat or by the vibrations as set in atmospheric forces, to prevent the present used forces from receiving those attuned to that.
13. We are through for the present.
