1. GC: Now you have before you the static eliminating devices as given in previous readings. You will give wording for various claims on patent application for static eliminating devices for radio receiving sets, embodying two tubes, one containing discs on figure 8 and other colored discs on hair pin wire. Give locations near Dayton, Ohio, where vacuum can be drawn in tube, and where we can be fully protected from infringement on same.
2. EC: Yes, we have these here.
3. To prepare the papers for the patents that would be necessary to protect from infringement would be first to prepare those drawings necessary to establish the identity for those features that are patentable, which would be put in legal phrases, but cover those in two sets that eliminate the color and heat and carry the normal tone or acoustic tone of the original sending set. This would cover the direct features of these devices. In this manner and form these would be prepared.
4. As to the phraseology of these, there are set rules for same. Comply with those.
5. As to where this tube may be prepared near Dayton, we do not find one very near. It may be prepared either in the Pittsburgh Plate or in the University of Wisconsin, with the assurance of the features, as given, not being infringed upon. University of Wisconsin would be better.
6. (Q) Tell what do tubes perform in eliminating static. (A) As given, in the acoustic tone or in the one with figure 8 and discs, as given, the correct tone of the sending tubes. In the colored discs and hair pin tube the heat and color vibrations are attuned by the correction through the 8 disc tube, eliminating that force that produces the crash vibration in radio receiving sets.
7. (Q) Give name and address of the lawyer who would be the best to get to prepare these papers? (A) Davis & Davis, Washington, D.C.
