1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2508].
3. Now, as we find, there are rather those characters of conditions of which the body should take cognizance, and remove the causes; else we may have those conditions that may prove very undesirable and bring about - eventually - almost total blindness.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2508] we are speaking of, present in this room:
5. First, in the blood supply we find indications of existent conditions in the nerve forces, as well as in the functioning of organs, that carry an inflammation that is proving irritating to the glandular system - especially as related between the kidneys, the eyes, and the circulation that supplies the distribution and elimination of used energies as pertaining to same.
6. In the nerve forces themselves we find irritations arising from a disturbance in the general system - as indicated in the areas between liver, kidneys, heart, lungs. And the circulation gives irritations and tendencies at times towards those things which the body-mind intends and desires to do, yet because of the influences through the nerve forces it breaks its own word to itself. These breakings-over become contributory conditions to this irritation, that is affecting the branches of the nerve system in the dorsal and cervical area, that supplies nutriment to the optic force itself.
7. It also gives the reaction to the sensory forces of the body - so that the appetites, desires, tastes, feelings, ALL become of an exaggerated nature at times.
8. These, to be sure, do not give off that as would be
2508-1 Page 2
called a physical reaction, save as the body in itself KNOWS and as it does in its mental and physical reaction to these disturbances - as yet. They are becoming more and more a part of the general physical disturbances.
9. Thus, as we have first indicated, these are given as warnings; that there MUST be the correction of those tendencies existent - if there will not eventually be much greater disturbance, and even that of glaucoma - or the dilating of the optic forces as to become disturbing to such an extent that ALL of the activities would be almost hopeless in preserving vision.
10. In the functioning of the organs themselves - brain forces and their reactions are very good, in many respects. Reflexes are not always in the regular order, as indicated from those impulses arising by nerve irritations and conditions physically that exist.
11. The activities in throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx all show some irritation - from congestion produced more in the present by superacidity. These are rather temporary, yet produce some irritation to the body.
12. The conditions in the lungs, heart and liver, as coordinant with the kidneys, are the sources or the basis of disturbance from the deflection in their coordinating with the regular circulatory system - by pressures existent in the upper dorsal and through the cervical centers, and the inability - by the very pressure upon the ganglia that cause this deflection - to supply energies to these activities for normal reaction.
13. Digestive system, in the most part, is very good.
14. The activities through the hepatics to the lower portion of the alimentary canal show some irritations.
15. In making suggestions for helpful forces for the body, all of these conditions - as to mental attitudes as well as the physical forces in the body - should be taken into consideration.
16. Then, in making application of the physical things we will suggest to be done, DO NOT make these applications IF THERE ARE THE PHYSICAL OR MENTAL ACTIVITIES THAT CARRY THOSE INFLUENCES WHICH WOULD BECOME DETRIMENTAL BY THE USE OF THE APPLICATIONS SUGGESTED.
17. First we would give, then:
18. Make those corrections in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, coordinating the lumbar axis and the 9th dorsal with same; but these should necessarily be done by one in sympathy with the suggestions made for the other applications - by one such as Dobbins.
19. These osteopathic treatments should be given about twice
2508-1 Page 3
or three times a week, for this will only be a short period - if the other treatments will be taken at the same time.
20. Also two to three times each week, but preferably on alternate days from the osteopathic treatments, we would use the ELECTRICAL vibrations to the body AND to the eyes themselves - the low vibration applied directly to the eyeball itself. This treatment, as we find, may be best done by such as Erlanger.
21. DO NOT take this and at the same time have the effects of alcohol IN the system, for it would be more detrimental than beneficial!
22. But doing these for three to six weeks we would CORRECT the conditions - IF there will be kept those attitudes and those activities in keeping with corrective and creative influences.
23. Ready for questions.
24. Do these, and we will bring near to normal forces for this body.
25. MUCH might be given as to latent abilities.
26. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., N.Y.C.) Copy to Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Dr. Gustav Erlanger, 20 West 77th St., N.Y.C.) N.Y.C.)
