Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., D.C.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2509].

3. Now, as we find, there are physical conditions of which the body should take cognizance, and in the present have such applications and corrections as would relieve and remove the causes of disturbances as may affect organs of the body.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2509] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. The blood supply we find very good; yet there are indications of stresses or strains in the body, thus causing those attempts in the blood flow itself to create the elements or influences that would keep down inflammation in the body.

6. From this condition, then, the body becomes easily tired under any unusual activity or overstress, and does not recuperate by the rest - as it should - even under the disturbed conditions.

7. This would gradually lead to greater strain, without corrections.

8. In the nervous systems, or system - here we find some of the sources - and a great deal of the effects of the disturbed condition.

9. The pressures produce nerve strain in various portions of the body, that have allowed for a weakening of the muscular tendons in specific areas as well as a general nervous stress that is indicated, combined with the easily tiring that arises in the circulations.

10. Specifically in the areas about the kidneys there is the tendency for the muscular forces to become more relaxed;

2509-1 Page 2

thus causing pain in the area, especially with long standing, tiring exercise or activity causing an upright reaction. This is because of the attempts of the nerve system to give warnings as to the nature of the disturbance, and as to the organs being disturbed in their position.

11. Naturally this would cause their activity to either become deficient or overabundant; thus setting up an unbalanced condition through the body.

12. In the functioning of organs themselves - brain forces are very good. Their reflexes are good. One that differentiates in evaluations of time, conditions, circumstances and individuals, as well as in associations and relations.

13. We find tensions at times in the organs of the sensory system, and at others a supernormal condition - or sensitiveness. This is of a physical as well as of a psychic nature.

14. The throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx are very good. Owing to the tensions, the mucous membranes of those portions of the functioning system become at times easily irritated - because of the attempts of the body to create resistances in OTHER directions; namely, in the membranes about the false pelvis - or that area above same in the kidney AND the activities with the whole of the hepatic circulation.

15. In the heart's activity - the pulse quickens at times; the blood pressure is near to normal.

16. The activities of the liver as related to digestion are very good, though at times - owing to the nerve tensions - the body has periods of nervous indigestion, and a fullness in the pit of the stomach, as well as in the duodenum and upper portion of that system an uneasiness - or fullness.

17. In the activity between the liver AND the kidneys we find the greater disturbance. Owing to a strain that has been experienced some time back, and the laxity in the muscular forces, there is the tendency of the kidney to drop - which is causing the uneasiness through those areas.

18. As we find, these are the sources and the effects of the disturbing conditions in this body in the present.

19. In making administrations for helpful forces, we would first make local applications in this manner:

20. Prepare a compound of three parts Tincture of Laudanum to one part Aconite; this, of course, only to be used externally.

21. Use this to paint the body along the area just below the 9th dorsal to the upper portion of the lumbar axis, most particularly on the left side.

2509-1 Page 3

22. Then massage the body, over the same area, with an equal combination of Mutton Tallow (melted), Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor. Then saturate a cloth or flannel with the properties and apply over the area, followed by the electric pad at low heat. Keep this on for thirty minutes to an hour. Then sponge off and rest.

23. Once a day should be sufficient for these applications, but if the pain is severe they may be used more often.

24. Paint first with the Laudanum and Aconite Compound, using a small brush. This is to deaden the pain, you see, but carries healing - especially for tissue about the false cavity, see?

25. Then apply the combination of the other three ingredients; one is penetrating, the other healing, the other assisting in penetration AND in healing, see?

26. Have at least two to three adjustments osteopathically; making particular reference to the vagus center and the 9th dorsal AND the coccyx area. More than a general relaxing, stimulate activity in the vagus center - that's the upper part of the dorsal and a portion of the cervical - and the 9th dorsal and then the lumbar axis and the coccyx center. These will tend to stimulate the circulation to those affected areas and, as it were, "tie back" the muscular forces in the disturbed areas.

27. It would also be well for a brace or band to be worn. This had best not be elastic but gauze, heavy, folded, and at least four to six inches wide, pulled tight around the body - when walking or sitting or working.

28. Drink plenty of water at all times.

29. In the diet, add more of the foods that carry Vitamines A, B-1 and G, or all of those that are easily assimilated from the foods that are naturally yellow in color; as yellow corn meal, carrots cooked and raw, peaches, and especially the bony pieces of fowl. Also we would use plenty of those that have silicon, or that carry Vitamin A, as in turnips, turnip greens, fat meat which has most of the grease cooked out of it - all of these are well. Also use Irish potatoes that are boiled or baked and seasoned with plenty of Cayenne pepper, especially - if this is not too severe; but learn to digest or handle same, for this will stimulate the activities needed in the body at present.

30. Rather avoid certain combinations in the diet - that is, do not take too great quantities of starches or too much of sweets, especially. Only use these in moderation. When fats are taken, take the sweets. When no fats are taken, take more of starch.

31. Beware of raw apples. Only eat these cooked.

2509-1 Page 4

32. Beware of raw tomatoes, unless well-ripened on the vine - not those gathered green and then ripened. Preferably use these cooked or canned, rather than raw - unless well ripened when gathered - from the vine.

33. Do these, and we will remove the causes; and we will prevent the activities in the lymph being formed into pockets, or the causing of greater irritation to the capsule of the kidney itself.

34. Ready for questions.

35. (Q) Is the kidney the cause of the throbbing pain in left lower side and back? (A) It's the capsule of the kidney, or the tendency of same to drop - from the muscular conditions that we have indicated; these, of course, from positions of the conditions in the nervous and muscular system, as well as the chemical reactions in the system.

36. (Q) What may be done to prevent further after effects from intestinal flu and colitis? (A) The effects have been the weakened conditions, as indicted. Thus the application of the properties outlined will correct this.

37. (Q) Is it harmful for me to work in an air-conditioned room? (A) This, of course, at times works hardships; but with these osteopathic adjustments made, and with these local applications suggested, the body may adjust itself. For, remember, as we have indicated for this body, the way the body thinks has MUCH to do with the conditions. For, how the body thinks about a thing, that is how it IS - to the body!

38. (Q) Should I continue the salt water of mornings for the eliminations, or is this harmful? (A) As we find, this is very well, but it may be easily overdone. With the osteopathic stimulation of those particular areas or centers indicated, this should take care of the eliminations - with the watching of the diet. If there continues to be the need of an eliminant, alternate the mineral stimulations with vegetable compounds at times. Do not continue on the mineral so much as to decrease the abilities of the system to create the lymph through portions of the body.

39. (Q) What should be done to produce normal eliminations? (A) We have just been trying to say it! Do these.
