1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2526]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, conditions are not so good with this body as when last we had same here. There have been advancements in the disturbances, or more affectation of the disturbances that affect or absorb the activities of the skin. Thus there is the deterioration in a form or manner as to cause excruciating pains at times.

4. Overactivity and not being consistent with the diets, the applications, and those properties indicated for the body, have allowed this beginning of greater disturbances, especially along the back of the limbs, over the lower portion of the torso, even to the muscles and skin between the shoulders.

5. The extremities are inflamed - as the knees the muscular forces in the calf of the leg, the fingers and hands.

6. Something of the nature or character of the disturbance may indicate to the body the necessity of adherence to those suggestions made here as to the continued applications.

7. DO know that there is that consumptive nature of the circulation through the inner course of the epidermis. Hence all the perspiratory system becomes clogged and hardened, or the glands of the skin. And without that breath that is natural for the skin, such conditions as this are allowed to arise in the system.

8. In making the applications, -

9. Do have the Wet Cell Appliance checked, as to connections

and as to keeping all the connections clean.

10. Do have a recharge of the chemicals for making the electrical forces. Also use both the Gold and the Atomidine, one used one day, the other the next.

11. Keep up these applications consistently.

12. We would have prepared a cabinet or a canvas covering in which sweats may be taken. In same put the fumes of Witchhazel; at least an ounce to an ounce and a half in about four ounces of water that would be boiled in the cabinet - in a croup cup or such a container so that the fumes or steam from same may settle over the body. Take such a fume bath, or cabinet sweat, every other day; followed with a thorough rubdown - not too severe, but a general rubdown, especially over the afflicted areas; massaging into the afflicted areas - especially the limbs, the rump, the back, between the shoulders, the arms and hands, all that the body will absorb of Peanut Oil, mixing just enough Olive Oil (commercial oil will do) to prevent irritation. Pour the oil into a saucer, dipping the fingers or hands in same to massage the body.

13. Do have the Castor Oil Packs at least every other day, over all the affected areas.

14. Do these, and keep close to those diets that have been indicated. Thus we may yet bring much bettered conditions for this body.

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) Is the change of life working on me? (A) This will have its effect, but not so much upon this particular disturbance in the epidermis. This is a GENERAL thing, though it affects the glandular system principally - and is beginning to have its effect. But these massages and sweats, as indicated, will help.

17. (Q) Is my heart in good condition? (A) Only sympathetically do we find any disturbance so far as the heart is concerned.

18. (Q) Why do I keep a cold all the time? (A) Only about two-thirds of the body has the pores of the skin open. Thus the tendencies for acidity, which gives the cold germ the greater activity. Hence the necessity for keeping to the diet, as well as the cabinet baths, see?

19. (Q) Should all treatments formerly suggested be continued? (A) Most of these are included here. Do all of these indicated here in the present, see?

20. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file

(See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for recharging the Appliance, to be sent to Mr. A. M. Godfrey, 2709 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va. The Atomidine is to be used in the place of the Camphor, and attached in the same way as indicated for the Camphor. And Atomidine is NOT to be taken internally while it is being used through the appliance in this manner, vibratorially. Use the Atomidine in the proportions of two ounces commercial strength Atomidine to one ounce of Distilled Water. The Gold would be used in the proportions the same as before, one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water. See sample [which was enclosed] of Fume Bath Gown, or cabinet. From this you might be able to make one out of oilcloth or canvas.)
