1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2535].

3. Now as we find, while there are some disturbing conditions, the general physical reaction and mental attitude of the body is unusual - and worthy of there being much said concerning same.

4. Organically, we find that there is little of a disturbing nature. Rather, the whole vital energies - or those centers in the cerebrospinal system from which the functioning organs receive their impulse, and that have to do with the coordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal - or the superficial and the central nervous system - need recharging; as would be put in common parlance.

5. These, then, are the conditions as we find that exist with this body, [2435] we are speaking of, present in this room:

6. In the blood supply we find the lack of those hormones and activities in which vital energies of the body are stored. This is because of the general taxed condition, especially from the vagus center - or that area in the dorsal and cervical through which most of the vital forces of the body are supplied, either directly or indirectly. And with the using of the energies there comes at times the feeling, from the upper dorsal to the head, as of contraction - or an indication of tic; producing a deadening or distressing effect to the muscular forces of face, neck and shoulders. With the taxing of the body these become acute, yet at other periods exercise is needed in

order that there be sufficient stimulation - or charging of the system by the activities of same - to enable these to be restored to a more normal reaction.

7. The reaction upon the nerve system is to produce a static condition, or a feeling of lack of animation through portions of the extremities. Also the effect at times is reflected to the heart's activity, in either quickening or at other periods slowing considerably the circulation as related to same.

8. The effect upon the organs, as indicated, is merely to slow their activity, rather than there being any organic or even functional disorder.

9. Then, as we find, with the proper consideration and the distribution of energies through the system, with the recharging of the body-electrical forces themselves, we would bring much nearer to normal reactions in the system.

10. We would begin, then, with some mechanical adjustments; with a stimulating as well as a relaxing treatment. These we would give osteopathically; one treatment stimulating, then the next - the same week - relaxing.

11. Keep up these mechanical adjustments. As we find, have such as might be administered by Dobbins. The nature of these would be better understood by him, to work with the disposition, the tendency, AND that being accomplished with the low electrical forces as we will indicate.

12. After about four of the osteopathic treatments, begin using also the B-Battery, such as prepared by Edelman, so that the low charge may be administered to the body. Take this for only a few minutes once each day, preferably when the body is ready to retire.

13. In the matter of diet - take more of those foods that carry greater quantity of Vitamin B-1 - such as found in those foods that are yellow in color. Thus, all citrus fruits, well ripened bananas, yellow squash, yellow peaches, yellow corn - all of these should form not the whole but a great deal of the diet.

14. Also once a day it will be most beneficial to take beef juice as a tonic; not so much the beef itself but beef juice; followed with red wine. Do not mix these, but take both about the same time. Take about a teaspoonful of the beef juice, but spend about five minutes in sipping that much. Then take an ounce of the red wine, with a whole wheat cracker.

15. Do this for six weeks, and we will find conditions much nearer to normal. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) What causes and what should be done for twitching of the eye and face?

2535-1 Page 3

(A) As indicated, this is a part of those disturbances in the upper portion of the vagus center.

17. (Q) May anything be done for the eyes, to properly coordinate vision? (A) We have been giving what should be done; the proper osteopathic corrections through the areas from the 3rd and 4th dorsal to the 1st cervical, and the face; then the application of the electrical forces. With these, we will find much better coordination. We will find a difference even after the second or third osteopathic adjustment. And by the fifth or sixth of the electrical forces AND the adjustments, there should be MUCH improvement - but keep on through for at least six weeks.

18. (Q) Is the difficulty with speech from the same cause? (A) This is an incoordination between the superficial and the central nervous system, as indicated.

19. (Q) What causes rash, or irritation of skin? (A) All of these symptoms arise from the same source. The rash is more from LACK of the vital energies for the proper eliminations through their proper channels. But all of these will respond to those applications suggested. Do them.

20. (Q) What has caused recent pain in lower back? (A) Reflex from the upper condition as indicated. This is a drawing on all of the vital energies of the body.

21. (Q) May anything be done for regular bowel eliminations? (A) The osteopathic corrections and the stimulating to the better nerve energies will increase the eliminations, as well as the food values that have been indicated for the body - that are to be a part of the whole administrations.

22. (Q) May anything be done to improve texture of facial skin? (A) The general massage with Peanut Oil will be found to be most beneficial. Take just a small quantity morning and evening and massage the face, neck and shoulders with same, as well as the hands and arms.

23. (Q) Do I have any special talent that should be cultivated? (A) Many others should cultivate the talents that the body has! Thus we find the best of the talents are the abilities to bring to others assurance and quietness within themselves. These should be expressed, and the manifestations of these bring better harmony within self.

24. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (two copies; one for Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., N.Y.C.)
