Time of Reading 3:40 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Conn.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2542].

3. As we find, the acute condition - with temperature - arises from congestion and cold. We find that this needs the precautions that are being taken, and - unless there is a change soon - may need acute or specific changes for the better conditions.

4. The body has a tendency for acidity. This is partially because of the inability of proper eliminations, from a manner of inflammation through the digestive tract.

5. These, as we find, would be the applications in the present:

6. Begin first by giving a good emit, or a good laxative. We would first give broken doses of Castoria. But first, to a small bottle of Fletcher's Castoria, taking out a teaspoonful, add a teaspoonful of Syrup of Senna. Shake this thoroughly, and give half a teaspoonful every half hour, or until there are good eliminations.

7. Then flush the system with Eno Salts - a heaping teaspoonful in a glass of water.

8. As soon as this BEGINS to act, commence with a good stimuli to the muscular and nerve forces of the bronchi, - Syrup of Squill. We would give about twenty drops of this every three hours.

9. Rub the spine with a weakened solution of grain alcohol or a good whiskey.

10. And keep the body quiet.

11. There are the tendencies in the cervicals for hindrances to the proper circulation, by a subluxation; which tends to give an asthmatic condition in the larynx and trachea. These need correction osteopathically. Have at least three or four corrections, and these would not be bad if given during

this period when there is the stimulation necessary for the reduction of cold and the reducing of temperature.

12. After three treatments, have a very low form of electricity. This should be given with the violet ray, but very low (hand machine, bulb applicator); not high, and give only for about a minute in all, see? over the area from the neck down to the middle of the back, and then across the front of the chest and throat. But give this each evening for about a week, then leave off.

13. And then have three or four more osteopathic corrections.

14. This SHOULD align the body-conditions so that it will prevent a recurrence of these disturbances.

15. Keep the liquids and semi-liquids; not solid foods, until the cold has entirely disappeared.

16. Keep up the eliminations, or keep good eliminations.

17. The One A Day vitamins would be well for this body, and about every other day take the One A Day B-Complex; but do not give these until the cold has been eradicated from the system.

18. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Should the tonsils be removed? (A) This can best be determined by how the body responds to the corrections, and according to the observations made by the one making the corrections. If these are inflamed to such an extent that they have become centralized, or the disease centralized, it is well to have them removed. If they are so that they can be corrected, no.

20. (Q) What is proper diet to promote perfect physical, mental and spiritual development for this entity? (A) Keep towards an alkalin diet. Keep away from too much sweets, though occasionally honey may be included. Liver and fish and such natures in the meats.

21. (Q) What is needed to avert the heavy chest colds to which he is subject? (A) As indicated. Do these things. If there is the tendency for the condition to be more severe, or for the temperature to continue, then it is best to have the direction of someone who would watch the body closely, see? as a physician - that would use the sulfa drug. But keep away from this if possible, for this body, until these corrections are made.

22. We are through for the present. Copy to Mother - Air Mail, Special " " Ass'n file
