1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '39 - changes - '36 - expectancies - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now known as or called [2549].
4. Much may be given as respecting the purposes, the ideals, the temperament and the hopes of this entity.
5. These are based upon an experience of the entity in the earth's plane, that has been and is a portion of the entity - even indicated in the name chosen in the present.
6. Then, these interpretations we choose with the desire and purpose that this be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling it to better fulfillthose purposes for which it chose to enter this present material sojourn.
7. For, one enters not by mere chance, but as a fulfilling of that which is spoken of in "He hath not willed that any soul should perish, but hath with each temptation prepared a way of escape."
8. This experience is not an escape for this entity. Rather it is a completing, a fulfilling of that as He, the Lord, hath purposed with what the entity has done about the opportunities he has embraced in the material experiences through the earth.
9. Thus we find that the astrological influences have little
2549-1 Page 2
to do with the entity, yet within the consciousness of each entity - and this entity in particular - there lies the awareness that there ARE influences without and within self. As something within self answers to this may be interpreted in that as He hath given, "My spirit beareth witness with thy spirit as to whether ye be the children of God or not."
10. Hence there ARE urges, or influences - not as astrological aspects but from sojourns through which the entity has passed - or experiences during the interims between earthly manifestations. These become manifested in the dreams, the hopes; while the earthly sojourns find expression in the emotions of the body; and not because a star, a constellation, or even any phase of the zodiac sign, was in such and such a position at the time of birth.
11. For as YE recall, as He made the sun, the moon, the stars, He gave to the soul of man that command, "Be ye fruitful, multiply, SUBDUE the earth," and the knowledge as may be gained from the positions and relations that planets, stars, constellations bear in relationship one to another.
12. For these, too, as the psalmist gave, declare the glory of God, "day unto day uttereth speech, night unto night sheweth knowledge."
13. Thus these, in the deeper sense, have that same influence from astrological sojourns ye have as the hereditary forces, or that deep in the inner being; while the material or earthly sojourns influence the deeper environmental forces.
14. For, all is one. Life is a stream, not that which is static or that is here a little and there a little - but is continuous; and is the manifestation of that force we worship as God manifesting in the earth.
15. One's purpose is that one may glorify that which is chosen as the ideal. Not self, not position, not as to what others may say, but as He hath given, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." For He having entered once for all, and offered Himself, He becomes then that way, that might, that power through which the souls of men may find their true relationships with that Creative Force.
16. And as He hath given, we are brethren one of another. We are indeed the offspring of that Creative Force, and thus may become heirs and joint heirs with Him; in that the Lord hath chosen, hath given each the abilities to do.
17. Thus seeking Him first is the whole duty of an entity. For one finds self with and in a three-dimensional world, with a three-dimensional body - yes, a three-dimensional mind - but that may be universal in its scope.
18. Hence we find Father, Son, Holy Spirit as the
2549-1 Page 3
three-dimensional mind's concept of the Godhead. We find self with body, mind and soul. THESE each have their counterpart in that Godhead.
19. Then as the Son is the way, so is the Mind the Builder - that makes for both at-onement with Him and a condition of being at variance with Him.
20. He having passed this way makes the way for each soul to find - as thou hast seen, as thou hast experienced - the manner of administering or applying the ideal chosen by self.
21. For, know that each soul is a free-willed individual, and chooses the way and the application. For it is either the co-worker with God in creation - and creative then in its attitude, in its thought, in its application of tenets and truths day by day; OR in attune with that which is at variance, and thus besetting or putting stumblingblocks in the way of others along the way.
22. Each soul must choose of itself whom it will serve, - self, the glorifying of same, fame or fortune as partakes of material things, or that which is set in the Ideal Who thought it not robbery to make Himself equal with God, but went about doing good - as ye have experienced, as ye have seen.
23. Thus there is innately the soul's abilities to analyze conditions, manners, ways and means, but prompted ever by that which IS the Way.
24. Thus there needs be no justification. For He, thy Lord, thy Master, has justified thee before the Father.
25. Thus thy activity, thy choices in thy daily life should be to the GLORIFYING of His purpose in the earth.
26. THAT is thy purpose. That ye must choose of thyself. For He inviteth thee. For He hath given, "I stand at the door and knock; whosoever openeth I will enter in and will abide with thee."
27. This then is not an idle promise, not something of long ago, not that which is not thy very own - if ye will but accept same. For, "I will abide with thee always" is to each soul. For man's advent into materiality is to the glory of the Father.
28. In the astrological urges we find Mercury, Venus and Jupiter as the ruling forces that are latent; the high mental ability, the beauty of ALL things sought in thy relationships, thy activities, as well as that timidity which arises at times.
29. The application in Jupiter becomes as of a universal consciousness; that is, in its application of thy activity in relationships to others, it must ever be of a universal
2549-1 Page 4
rather than of a personal or individual nature. While the application is personal, the individuality - as manifested in the personality of the Godhead - must be the purpose, the aim, the understanding. These are those influences before thee.
30. Use them. Trust them.
31. As ye know in Whom ye have believed, as well as in what ye believe, be thou then SURE in keeping self in accord with that thou purposest in thy heart to do.
32. As to the appearances in the earth - only those that bear upon the activities of the entity in the present will be indicated here. Thus in thy judgment of others, minimize their faults and magnify their virtues; as ye would have thy Father-God do to thee. As ye would that others do to thee, do thou then unto others.
33. The appearance that may be given, then, was in the days when the Master walked in the earth; when there were those gatherings about the mount in the wilderness, and the call of the five thousand that they be sent not away in their weakness but the supplying of physical needs to the material man.
34. The entity then was the companion with that lad, whom THIS entity - as the son of Andrew - brought to his father that there might be supplied from that in hand sufficient of the material needs to feed that multitude, with the loaves and the few fishes.
35. That experience is the impelling influence for the entity in the present; so that in a social service should be those fields of activity in which the entity should apply self.
36. For, as ye then pointed the way through which material as well as the spiritual blessings came to many, so in the order of the day - when there is so much of doubt and fear, so much loss of that security - the entity may through such an activity aid the many to find their closer relationships to the Father - God - THROUGH the blessings of Him who gave, "Keep my commandments. Love one another."
37. The name then was Ardoen.
38. In this application of self - let thy activity not be as an individual group, but as a universal activity among the many; for in such may come those opportunities for the easier expression and the outlets for those abilities to use that intuition which is a part of thy experience in a HELPFUL way to the many.
39. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, that to which it may attain, and how:
40. Knowing thy ideal - study to show thyself approved unto
2549-1 Page 5
God, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the words of truth and keeping self unspotted from the world; condemning not others, condemning not self.
41. Be ye BOLD, yet steadfast in thy purposes in the earth.
42. Ready for questions.
43. (Q) In the light of the world situation, knowing I will be of draft age next spring, would it be best to continue my present civil service job or return to college in Sept.? (A) Return to college, by all means. Conditions and affairs in the earth will need thy more complete determination and understanding in the field of social service, which is as necessary in the correct defense for ANY land, and especially for thine own.
44. (Q) Is Duke University the best place for my further Training, or is there another college that will suit my purpose better? (A) Begun there, we would complete. For, there are few equal to the opportunities offered there.
45. (Q) Is it possible through this approach to tell me what can be done to prevent and overcome my hay fever? (A) Use the inhalants that have been indicated through these channels for such disturbances. These will respond in this body.
46. We are through for the present. Two copies to Mrs. [2574] (one for self) Copy to Ass'n file (See prescription for hay fever inhalant in 934-2 [which was enclosed] with rdg. 2549-1.) -1.)
