1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane; giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '38 - changes - '33 - yes - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2550].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, some warnings, some admonitions, some counsel would be well.
5. These interpretations are chosen from the records here with the desire and purpose that this be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfillthose purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
6. First - take cognizance of the fact that the entity should guard against some physical disturbances that have been and are upsetting the better abilities of the entity.
7. Take cognizance that there are periods of disappointments for many, as there have been for self. Know that each entity enters the material sojourn not merely for the purpose of living an experience or a life, but as a part of the universal consciousness as would make the world, the earth, the individuals the entity meets from day to day, more hopeful, more patient, more longsuffering - yea, to make the world better for the entity having come in contact
2550-1 Page 2
with the individuals the entity meets.
8. For, as the entity has found, there are no relationships in which the entity itself is not changed somewhat or influenced by such contacts, whether casual, social or what not. This is a universal law.
9. Each soul enters that awareness in this material experience that the entity may glorify the Creative Force, or God, in the entity's relationship with others.
10. In giving the interpretations of urges that are latent and manifested in the experience of this entity - like most, yea like every soul in the earth experience in the present:
11. From astrological aspects every soul in the earth, in the present experience, will think differently, will have varied urges from the happenings as will come to pass in the next two weeks. Not merely because of the unusual astrological aspects, but more because each entity through its awareness in physical consciousness, in cosmic consciousness, has come in the environ of the ruling forces of the astrological aspects that are to be so active in the affairs of man in his relationships one to another during this period - from April the 29th to May the 12th, 1941. It has been over eight hundred years since such has been the urge. Think of the darkness of the spiritual life as was enacted then, and see what is the experience through which so many souls are passing and will pass during this period in the relationships of man to man. [See 5/5/41 letter under 1387-4, Par. R7.]
12. These are merely sidelights. The entity may well ask, "What has this to do with me?" The answer would be - with the knowledge of the needs for that hope, that patience, that ability to pray, that ability to open self to the awareness of the needs of man - WHAT WILL YE DO - as an individual - with the knowledge of such things?
13. What will ye do about same? Will ye leave this to others? or will ye, as a soldier of the Cross, do thy part? [4/28/41 P.M. See 3976-26 expanding on Par. 10--13 above.]
14. We find that the entity's sojourns in the astrological aspects, or those environs, during the interims between the earthly appearances, are a part of the entity's innate urge. It is much as a sojourn in varied parts of a land brings those relative activities, by the relationships established in such a period of sojourn, as to cause the entity to think, to react, to respond in certain directions, or to vibrate to those things, those conditions, that become a part of the entity's being.
15. For, the entity is body, mind and soul. The soul is
2550-1 Page 3
eternal - it is individual. The mind is the builder, and weaves that into the being of the soul that it, the soul-entity, presents to its Creator as the usage of the talents given. The body is merely the channel through which there is material activity.
16. Then as the entity uses its abilities, its faults, its virtues, as an emissary, as a witness for the Creative Forces, so may the entity present to its Maker, its Savior, its Lord, its King, that which the entity has done ABOUT the opportunity given.
17. What will ye present to thy Lord?
18. In Mercury, Venus, the Moon, Uranus and Saturn we find the greater influences from the astrological aspects. These induce or cause the manner of thinking - which is from these latent urges:
19. We find in Venus the beauty, the grace, the appreciation of home; yet the entity too easily takes to those things that bring discouragement.
20. In Mercury there are high mental abilities. Thus oft the entity is considered too practical, too hard-headed, too determined. Yet these may be virtues as well as faults; depending upon what is the ideal that prompts such a reaction in the activities of the entity. If the reaction is for self, self-indulgence, self-glorification, then it becomes a stumblingstone. If it is in the determination, the purpose that TRUTH, right and virtue may be truly established in the relationships, it becomes a virtue - and will bring a more and more harmonious experience as it bears fruit in thy whole being.
21. We find from Uranus the extremes that have been the experience of the entity; sudden changes, apparently without warning; in the directions of the heart, the life, the environs, the decisions to be made. These become parts of the experience. Knowing the needs, knowing that as will constantly build, hold fast to the faith which was established in thee in thy sojourn in the Holy Land - as will be indicated.
22. From Saturn we find the sudden changes in material as well as in mental activities. Hence there are the needs here for the balance, by the spiritual determinations in the experience.
23. As to the sojourns in the earth - not all may be given here, but those as may have to do with the activities for the present cycle of experience. For as the body changes in its cycles of activity, so does that as brings urges change - according to the use to which the entity has put its opportunity. For, it is not what one knows what counts, but
2550-1 Page 4
what one does about that it knows.
24. Before this, then, the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods when the entity's native state struggled for freedom - from those conditions that changed the activities of the land.
25. As an associate or a close acquaintance of one so determined to free that state were the activities of the entity; then in the name Fern Renfrew, and the associate of Houston - who meant so much to that land.
26. We find that innately there is hero worship deep within the being of the entity, and this at times has brought disturbing forces. For, the idols of the entity in its inner self have proved to have feet of clay. Consequently, these have brought discouragements. Yet, these activities have become such that they may YET be turned into a channel through which the entity may find expressions that will give an outlet for greater creative influences in its experience.
27. Thus the entity, through its abilities, may write of those that formulated the ideals, the environs for the early settlers of this land. For this will give the entity an opportunity for expression in which there may be, from period to period, ALL that might be materially desired; with the depicting of the character of those of the early days in the land - beginning even with Putnam (one of thy forefathers), on to the individuals even of the present day. It would be well to prepare these especially for those of the coming generations. This is a work of love, of abilities dormant, yet may be brought into such activity as to FILL the whole being of the entity with that hope needed to make this experience a crowning joy in the earthly sojourn.
28. In that experience the entity sought to aid and did aid in those periods, especially when its associate, its friend, acted in the capacity as a representative of that state in the general government.
29. Hence something of politics, something of economics, something of those things pertaining to religious freedom as well as to home environs, should be ever the topic, the basic forces depicting thy characters in thy writings.
30. Before that the entity was in the Promised Land, during those early periods of activity in which there were the expectancies for the coming of the Master.
31. The entity then was closely associated with the Innkeeper and those activities there; being the wife of the Innkeeper, thus the mother of the daughter who spoke to and who directed the Wise Men, and who saw and held the young Child first.
2550-1 Page 5
32. In the experience the entity was pulled between confusing influences. Though the customs of the day called for the entity's position to be rather hidden, the entity in its purpose and in its very activity was quite outspoken. Hence with the visions, the experiences that came about during that particular period, the entity was awed - and was then kept in that constant air of expectancy because of those periods through which there were the days of purification for the Mother of the Son of God.
33. Throughout that sojourn the entity, as Sodaphe, brought betterments in the experience of the Mother of the Lord.
34. Thus there comes that tie, that ability to announce, that ability to pronounce those urges that cause individuals to think - and even to pray. For, these give to individual souls the longings not only for that which is not, but for the tie that binds the hopes of man with the eternal things.
35. Before that the entity was in the land now known as the Arabian or Persian, during those periods when there was the sojourning of those who were taken captive from the peoples that dwelt in the Holy Land.
36. There the entity was the associate of the leader of the armies, that individual so afflicted as to be warned by the Jewish maid of the abilities of one in her native land to help.
37. Thus the entity was a messenger, a persuader in the material way, as to those things that - as indicated - are builded by the thinking and the acting on thought by individuals.
38. We may see, then, that great purpose of abilities as builded in the being of this entity; as to the using of those abilities that have been dormant, partly because of being submerged by disappointments, by activities of questioning individuals; that may in this period of change be determined in self to be used as a channel through which greater blessings may come, by depicting for all the wielding influence in the lives not only of the peoples of this particular land but the purposes as prompted the entity even in that experience - as Nehar - to warn her companion as to how the prophet of God might bring a revelation, a witness of His purpose in the earth.
39. Before that the entity was in the earth during the period when there were those preparations for the journeying of the people of promise from the Egyptian land, in that period when the pharaohs were in authority over that people.
40. The entity then was the daughter of pharaoh, and a sister of Bithiah who nurtured and brought up Moses as her son. This daughter was not mentioned in holy writ, yet she
2550-1 Page 6
wielded a power for good in those periods, even as did Bithiah.
41. The entity aided in changing the edicts by the influence it wielded over the overseers and the counselors to that pharaoh; thus lightening, in a great extent, the burdens of those peoples.
42. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then:
43. First, consider those conditions indicated for the carrying on of those things as may be determined in thy mind as to thy purposes in the earth.
44. Then study to show thyself approved unto thy ideal; knowing, as ye did experience, that there IS a promise and that He is able to keep that promise to man - as ye have seen.
45. Thus in this period of turmoil, this period of disappointments in that individuals have thought - because of suffering - warn such (and it will aid thee) that He is not short-armed as man, but that the law must be carried through - even as the giving of His Son.
46. Only to those that turn and know the Cross does the way become easy - only in Him and with His abiding presence.
47. Thus ye may find harmony for self - not in longfacedness, not in being what is called cranky or goody-goody, but practical, everyday religious; not as religion but as an opportunity of man to show his appreciation to a loving Father by being kind and patient with His children.
48. Ready for questions.
49. (Q) Please give the name of the pharaoh who was the father of the entity. (A) Rameses. Rameses II.
50. (Q) Why do I have such a fear of close places? (A) If there will be the analysis of those experiences through which the entity has passed, it will be seen how oft the fear of separation came through just such experiences. Close escapes for those the entity loved.
51. (Q) In which of the arts have I been associated? (A) As has been indicated here.
52. (Q) Why do I have such a great love for certain forms of art, yet am unable to express myself? (A) Again, analyzing that indicated, it will be seen how that the understanding of the various forms and manners of the arts gives the understanding of the various forms and manners of the arts gives the outlet and the abilities for the entity to express in writing that as individuals hold as a part of that necessary in their expression.
2550-1 Page 7
In the business or the opportunity of writing such as indicated, the entity may give expression to that so pent up in self.
53. (Q) Why is it that the one thing I have hoped for so intensely has been denied me? (A) It may yet be thine - if thy body, thy mind, will be set in accord with His purposes - wholly.
54. (Q) How am I responsible for my present unhappiness? (A) Analyze that given - ye will see.
55. (Q) My husband in the eyes of the world is a good provider, is never quarrelsome, but is utterly cold and unresponsive and indifferent to my interests in life. What in my past lives have I done to cause this experience to be mine now? (A) Rather, as indicated, the indifference of the entity at certain periods in the associations brings that meted, or being meted to self in the present. Remember, as has been indicated, as ye do it to the least of these little ones - of the children of the earth - ye do it thy Maker. What meaneth this? That as ye constantly sow, that must ye eventually meet in thy own self - or in Him; ye may not bear it alone. Remember His activity in the earth - "Of myself I can do nothing, save as the Father worketh in and through me." That should be the attitude. That is WHY ye feel sorry for thyself. Know that He does not require justification, but rather glorification in thy life.
56. (Q) How have I been associated with my present husband in previous lives? (A) He was Houston!
57. (Q) Please outline definitely what I should do to meet this situation and bring about harmonious conditions, so that our home may be transformed into the atmosphere of happiness for the benefit of all, especially for the sake of our children? (A) As indicated, here a little, there a little, add to the good thou hast in ALL its phases; bringing all together in harmonious activity not by merely wishful thinking and the attempting to give same to the individual, but by expressing a universal truth. And it will bring more and more harmony in the experience.
58. (Q) What is the reason for my feeling such love and companionship and understanding for a certain person the moment I met him about three years ago? (A) Close associations in the experiences not only in Egypt but also in the Persian and Arabian land - as a companion.
59. We are through for the present.
