1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2564].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the better physical functionings through the body.
4. These are the outgrowth of disturbances that existed from two primary causes.
5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2564] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. The blood supply indicates that there is insufficient of certain characters of elements carried in the system, that are gradually allowing the nerve forces to become involved that have to do particularly with the voluntary muscular forces and the locomotions.
7. These conditions, then, are what might be called multiple sclerosis, but arises first from external injuries to the segments and muscular forces in the lumbar and sacral area. And these, combined with the conditions which arose from high temperatures and stresses in the body, have brought about the deflection from that portion of the system in the adrenals that caused the glandular secretions to functioning in those manners as to assimilate from that digested in the system the proper amounts of these conditions that supply the elements.
8. Consequently, there has gradually arisen the inability of these activities to the locomotory systems - from blood and from nerves.
9. The mental attitudes have had and will have much to do with the controlling of the impulses through the involuntary nerve and muscular forces of the body. Thus these have kept the body in the more hopeful attitude and state of
2564-1 Page 2
expectancy.
10. Hence, combining this mental attitude with the osteopathic mechanical activities, and with that which will aid and act as a booster reaction to the glandular force, the nerve supply, and the supply of impulses in the right directions, we may bring near to normal forces for this body.
11. As to those activities produced upon the organs themselves directly - here we find, as indicted also in the attitude of expectancy in the mental forces of the body, very good reactions; the only variations arising in the circulation between heart, liver, lungs and kidneys.
12. For, sympathetically to the central nerve system there arises at times what might be termed a reflex to disappointing reactions. And only then do we find periods of depression, and naturally through such periods the upsettings to the organs themselves proper, and a quickening pulse, and doubts through the breath's activity upon the system.
13. Thus we find periods when there are accumulations of toxic forces that affect indirectly the very positions or conditions that exist from those strains and pressures that first caused the deflection to the adrenals, as combined with the temperature, the congestion, that have gradually brought about these conditions.
14. In making applications, we find that three characters of conditions must be taken into consideration:
15. First we would begin with mechanical osteopathic adjustments - slowly, easily given. In the beginnings there should not be any attempt to move segments that are producing pressures in the lumbar and in the sacral, as well as in the brachial centers - but gradually.
16. Take two such manipulations and relaxings each week; and these we would have done by Dobbins. Take these twice a week for a month to six weeks - then leave off a period of a month to six weeks, and begin again.
17. Each week following the two osteopathic treatments, - that is, once a week, you see, which may be even on the same day the second osteopathic treatment is given, but afterward - have a THOROUGH relaxing by the Dry Heat; not so as to overstimulate, but gradually raising until the respiratory system and the perspiratory system respond normally.
18. Then for about thirty minutes use the equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil as a massage along the spine; with particular reference to the sacral area, the brachial center, and the center from which the sciatics receive their
2564-1 Page 3
impulse. Include then the branches of both the locomotory centers; that is, the arm, elbow area, and the knee and calf of the leg.
19. For these treatments we would have such as Reilly.
20. After the first series of both treatments - that is, four of the osteopathic treatments and two of the hydrotherapy treatments - begin with the low form of electrical forces carrying Gold into the system vibratorially. Use the low B-Battery, with the Gold Solution in the proportions of one grain to each ounce of Distilled Water - one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water, you see; not tap water; and use at least six ounces of the Solution for each charge. Renew this Gold Solution following every fifteen treatments. The attachments would be made each day as the body is ready to retire, for thirty minutes.
21. For the first twelve treatments, apply the larger nickel plate, passing through the Gold Solution, to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus, or - on this body - four fingers from the umbilical center toward the right - and up one finger from a line drawn from the umbilical center; while the smaller copper plate would be attached to the 4th lumbar.
22. After the twelfth application, then the larger nickel plate would still be used at the umbilical center, but the copper plate would be attached to the body at the upper part of the 12th dorsal center.
23. Do not leave the connections in the solution when not in use. Put them in solution, or connect them, at least fifteen minutes before being attached to the body. Connect the cord to the POSITIVE side of the Battery that is to pass through the Gold Solution to the umbilical cord. The cord connected to the copper plate would be attached to the NEGATIVE side of Battery, and this would be the plate LAST attached to the body, see?
24. Of course, anyone can fix this Appliance that is inclined towards an electrical nature. The tube or wire that goes into solution is to be of lead - that is, tubed lead, see?
25. As to the diet:
26. Add to the diet more of those foods that carry vitamin B-1. In conjunction with the applications we have suggested for improvement, it is preferable that this be done by taking an excess of foods carrying same than by taking the vitamins in concentrated form as in tablet or capsule. Then, such foods would include whole wheat crushed and cooked a long time; carrots, both raw and cooked as a part
2564-1 Page 4
of the diet each day; bread that is made of whole wheat flour, not that which is bolted or the like. Eat all foods that are yellow in color; as yellow neck squash; veal, fowl or chicken - the bony pieces and the bones well masticated when it is possible, thus requiring that the smaller rather than the larger fowl be used; and any wild game of any kind - the broths as well as the flesh of these and the marrow of the bones. An excess of all these should be included in the diet. Not that the diet should consist ONLY of these things mentioned, but DO have quantities of these.
27. Do ALL of these, consistently, persistently.
28. And keep this same attitude that the body has held. Know, deep within self, that no healing comes to any save from the divine within. Hence hold the attitude of making self useful FOR something; not as a gratifying of self's desires only, but as a channel to be of blessings, of help to all needing a knowledge of God.
29. Ready for questions.
30. By the end of the first six weeks series, we should see a great deal of help.
31. DO NOT leave off the diet OR the Gold during the rest periods from the hydrotherapy and osteopathy.
32. These will bring near to normal conditions if they are adhered to, and the attitudes kept hopeful.
33. We are through for the present.
