Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2568].

3. As we find, there are disturbances respecting which warnings should be taken; else there may occur those reactions that might bring about rather disturbing or distressing conditions.

4. These have to do with the circulation, especially that between heart, lungs, liver and kidneys; and an unbalanced metabolism.

5. We find that these are the characters of disturbances with this body, [2568] we are speaking of, present in this room:

6. The blood supply indicates there is an overactivity of the glands that govern the metabolism of the system - or an excess of potassium through the system.

7. This is an affectation especially between the heart, lungs and liver; naturally reflexing - as does the thyroid gland as superactive - to the kidney circulation.

8. These as we find are the sources, caused partially by some subluxations and partly by hindrances in the eliminations that produce through their pressures upon certain portions of the nerve system a deflection; so that there are cold portions and slow peristaltic movements at times through alimentary canal, and the like.

9. These as we find are the sources of disturbance.

10. As to the effect produced upon the nervous system - we have a combination of subluxations, or pressures that exist in the 4th, 5th and 6th dorsal centers.

11. These, as combined with thyroid disturbance and the metabolism being disturbed, bring those reflexes to the

nerves of the lower abdomen.

12. As to the affectation to the organs - the strength, the virility, the physical reactions as yet have only been functionally disturbed. But with an unbalanced condition of the nature, there may easily appear acute conditions - either through cold or congestion or any such affectation.

13. In making administrations, then - these should be done preferably through the hydrotherapy method; not raising the temperature too high, but more of the Fume Bath - with just sufficient of the Dry Heat to raise the perspiration - then for ten minutes having a Fume Bath, preferably with an equal combination (teaspoonful of each) of Witchhazel and Oil of Pine Needles to the pint of water that would be boiling under the body, so that the steam or fumes would settle upon the body.

14. Following such a Fume Bath there should be a thorough massage.

15. Take two such hydrotherapy treatments each week until at least four have been taken, then they may be taken only once each week.

16. Also let the hydrotherapy include, during the first month, two colonic irrigations.

17. After some three to four of the hydrotherapy treatments, begin also with osteopathic adjustments; twice a week until six or eight have been taken; correcting the conditions in the dorsal and the lumbar area.

18. These will reduce the blood pressure, and make for eliminations of the disturbance through the alimentary canal, through the stomach, the digestion and the pressures to those portions of the system between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal - so as to coordinate and keep the coordinant activities in the eliminating channels of the body.

19. As to the diet:

20. Refrain from fried foods.

21. Take more of fruits, fruit juices, vegetables, vegetable juices.

22. When meats are taken, let it be preferably fish, fowl or lamb.

23. Do these, if we would bring the bettered conditions for this body.

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) What is the growth on my face? (A) The excess activities of the thyroid gland. As we find, if there is set up the better eliminations, this should disappear.

26. (Q) What causes loss of weight? (A) The inability of the assimilations in the body.

27. (Q) The nausea? (A) The conditions as indicated through the alimentary canal.

28. (Q) The pulling in back of knees? (A) Pressures from the lumbar area, as indicated, though the subluxations from the upper dorsal should have special corrective activities osteopathically, and the reflex areas in the lumbar and sacral.

29. (Q) Is it necessary to have teeth extracted? (A) Not necessary. The local conditions only need to be corrected.

30. (Q) Why am I losing grip in my hands? (A) As just indicated by the applications suggested to give retention of strength and tension throughout the whole body. This is a part of the effect from the lack of coordination in circulation, especially in the areas indicated.

31. (Q) Pain in shoulders and finger joints? (A) Arising from the pressure in the heart's activity.

32. (Q) Would it be advisable to make a change, or stay in my present position? (A) Stay in present position if so desired. It isn't the position so much that is disturbing, as it is the conditions indicated that have become unbalanced in the body. Do these things indicated - systematically, consistently, and we will find bettered conditions for this body.

33. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for the hydrotherapist. Please let us know where you go for these treatments, in case you do not do them at home, so we may have the information for future reference.
