1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2580].
3. As we find, in giving the causes of the disturbance here, something of conditions which have been the sources of the disturbance should be given in order to understand that to be met, and what MIGHT be the results if this is NOT corrected in some manner.
4. In some time back there were those effects of an insidious type of disturbance - an infectious condition. This left a weakness in the lymph circulation, especially through the torso and particularly the colon area.
5. Then a little later there was a deep cold, then intestinal flu. This tended to produce a further weakened condition through the digestive forces, and caused a form of congestion in the colon.
6. Hence we have in the present a plethora and a prolapsus in the colon.
7. This has produced a hardship on the digestive system; thus forming a condition in the liver, as combined with the other disturbances in the body - as of one lobe of the liver not functioning properly.
8. Then this produces, in the circulation between the heart, the lungs, the liver and the kidneys, a disturbance in blood pressure, blood count, and at times causes a fullness through portions of the extremities; dizziness, upset stomach, quick pulsations, a type of headache at the base of the brain, and those conditions through the shoulders and portions of the chest as of great heaviness.
9. All of these become a part of the disturbance.
2580-1 Page 2
10. The administrations that have been made have in the main been in the attempt to reduce the pressure and to bring about a better circulation without removing the causes.
11. Thus only temporary relief or help has been produced for the body.
12. As to the activities throughout the body - we find that in the blood supply there is an "off" pressure produced, as indicated; also there are toxic forces being carried in same.
13. In the nerve system there is produced a puffiness which is indicated in those conditions between the superficial and the deep circulation; which is an indication of the lack of the return of the blood supply to the heart's activity.
14. The organs themselves, the nerve forces - heart, lungs, liver, kidneys - all become involved at times; not all at once, but at times become involved in the disturbance.
15. The prognosis that might be given as to the effects from these conditions would be that there might be produced a crystallization of poisons in kidneys or in liver, or a condition in the connection between heart AND liver becoming plethora and producing thrombosis or a greater distress upon heart, arms, head, and the connection of the blood supply to the brain forces.
16. In making for the better corrections:
17. Within the first ten days we would have at least two high colonic irrigations. These are not to be given other than by one well versed in such, who will watch the pulsation - as well as the weakness that would naturally ensue in this particular body. To each quart of water used, put at least a heaping teaspoonful of table salt and a level teaspoonful of baking soda; and have the water body temperature. In the last water, use a tablespoonful of Alkaline Petrolagar to the quart of water, but keep this stirred constantly as it is injected into the colon. Do this at first, and then again within ten days. Then continue these, not to overtax or to burden the system, but occasionally - as long as there is the indication that mucous is still in the colon.
18. After the first two colonics have been given, begin then with correction osteopathically in the 6th and 7th dorsal, in the lumbar axis, and from the 3rd and 4th dorsal to the 1st cervical.
19. Have the adjustments periodically. Take eight to ten. Then rest from them at least a week. Then take them again. We find that these, with the colonics, should gradually cause the pressure, the indigestion, the disturbance in kidneys and liver, to disappear.

20. Then, the matter of the diet:
21. Keep away from any quantity of fats or meats; though fish, fowl and lamb may be taken in moderation.
22. Do not take carbonated drinks of any kind.
23. DO occasionally chew elm bark - once or twice a day. Chew it and swallow the fusion as naturally comes from same.
24. DO take a mild Saffron tea - American Saffron - about once a day. Pour a pint of boiling water over the quantity of the Saffron that would be picked up between the thumb and two fingers (about half a teaspoonful), and take that during a day. After it is cooled sufficiently, take some of it; then keep the rest in a cool place and take it during the day. If preferred it may be taken with ice.
25. In the diet also have a great deal of fruit juices, a great deal of raw vegetables - but do not mix these too much (that is, the fruits and vegetables at the same meal). Have salads of carrots, lettuce, celery and the like. Tomato juice may be taken. Have plenty of well cooked vegetables also, and in their combinations have at least three above the ground to one beneath the ground - during any meal; that is, eat three times as much of those growing above the ground as those growing under the ground, see? Have plenty of fruits AS they agree, but all will not agree with the body.
26. Do that.
27. Ready for questions.
28. (Q) Is there anyone in the Birmingham area who would give these colonics correctly? If so, who? (A) They may be obtained at the Baptist Hospital, or from the hydrotherapist there.
29. (Q) Would you suggest Dr. Newman as the osteopath? [John H. Newman, D.O.] (A) If he will do as has been indicated, yes. If not, then we would suggest others.
30. (Q) Any further suggestions? (A) Do these, and we will find we will bring better conditions.
31. We are through for the present. Copy to Self through Dillmans " " Ass'n file (9/1/41 GD's note: See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Hydrotherapist. Please let us have the name and address of the one you choose, so we may have it for future reference.
