1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2581].
3. As we find, while conditions are very good in many respects, there are hindrances and conditions that tend to aggravate - or to produce reactions that are NOT well.
4. And with those changes that are naturally coming about in the body-functionings, these should be cared for; else there may come such disturbance in the functioning of organs as to cause them to become diseased in their activities, while there is only dis-ease in the present.
5. Those conditions through the areas about the gall duct have been such that the unbalancing of the chemical forces in the system has produced those tendencies for engorgement in lacteal duct centers; so that at times accumulations have formed into pockets. Unless measures are taken, these may become such that they DO NOT empty themselves eventually and thus relieving that pain, that distress as we find through the areas of the caecum, the tubes to the organs of the pelvis, as well as that heaviness which reflexly occurs at times to those areas about the kidneys.
6. In the present all of these disturbances are more in the form of nerve reflexes, or nervous tension. While it is not of a serious nature, at times it becomes so disturbing as to cause great aggravations to the body.
7. We find in the blood supply there is produced an unbalancing in the metabolism. In the nerve supply there is produced an incoordination between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal spinal system, especially through the organs of the pelvis and the conditions through the digestive
2581-1 Page 2
system. And at times there are the questionings as to whether it is caused by indigestion or the formations of gas, or an excess of acidity.
8. Then all of these tend to leave in the system those conditions that necessitate their being eliminated through some channel.
9. These cause at times in the evenings, or at night, a tendency for cold perspiration as it were - the awaking with a fear through the whole of the body. The feet may even become cold at times, and yet there will be as it were a perspiration over other portions of the body.
10. We find that these are the natural reflexes of the character of nerve conditions, as they attempt to coordinate themselves with the cerebrospinal circulation AND the body-forces themselves.
11. Reflexly we find that the organs of the deeper circulation are affected - heart, lungs, liver, kidneys; though these in the present are not other than functionally disturbed from nerves. But, through congestion, through the non-elimination of poisons, through the non-emptying of those various portions where there are the tendencies to form lymph pockets, these might become tumorous - or might even become of a more serious nature, if the chemical balance were so unbalanced as to cause the setting up of an activity within themselves.
12. Then, in making for corrective measures - as we find, there would be DEFINITE conditions that should be met.
13. First, we would have such corrective measures osteopathically as to release those pressures that are indicated in the lumbar axis, 9th dorsal, and the 3rd and 4th cervical. This would require at least six or eight deep manipulations and adjustments.
14. THEN we would have the hydrotherapy AND electrotherapy combined, to remove the disturbances as would be set in order by the osteopathic corrective measures having been made.
15. This would include - at each time they are given, you see, one right after the other - a mild cabinet sweat, then a colonic irrigation, then the Diathermy that tends to aid or stimulate the gall duct in EMPTYING itself - to produce better assimilation, and better eliminations throughout the alimentary canal. At least have half a dozen of these general hydrotherapy treatments, AFTER the six osteopathic adjustments have been made.
16. As to the diet:
17. Keep away from sugars, or quantities of same. Keep away from a great deal of fat. Not that the body is to become
2581-1 Page 3
diet conscious, but keep away from fats. Not that no meats should be taken, but no fat meat. The vegetables should not be cooked in fats.
18. Have a great deal of fruit juices and vegetable juices.
19. Do these and we will bring the bettered conditions for this body of [2581].
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) What causes and what should be done for the boils? (A) Take the treatments as indicated, so we will eliminate those tendencies for the system to attempt to eliminate through the perspiratory system those poisons that should be eliminated through the alimentary canal and respiratory system.
22. (Q) Will the boils I have had several years disappear with menopause? (A) Will disappear, because we will have ridded the system of the causes, you see, with the emptying of those accumulations through the intestinal system - and especially the colon AND the area about or just below the gall duct, or the lacteal duct centers. These pour such quantities of poison into the system as to cause this upsetting, see?
23. (Q) Is there any infection anywhere? (A) A subluxation rather in the areas indicated, that prevents the pouring into the system of the balance of influences from the liver.
24. (Q) Does either alcohol or cigarettes, in moderation, cause pain? (A) Alcohol and cigarettes in moderation are NOT harmful, but at times they tend to make for irritations - when the system is overcharged. But with the eliminating of the causes of these disturbances, we find that in moderation these are inclined to be rather helpful.
25. (Q) Why does using my right hand in writing especially cause a general crippling? (A) Because of the effect it has upon the very things as indicated that are to be eliminated. Fats are not assimilated as other conditions in the system, but pass into the activities upon which the gall duct has acted, and then are emptied into the circulation through the right side. Hence the use of this then causes distress, or stress.
26. (Q) Would you recommend a particular make of shoe for my feet? (A) Dr. Reed's, if properly fitted. These have cushions and also aid in raising the instep. But with these corrections made osteopathically, a great deal of this trouble is to be eliminated - for the axis and the bursa of
2581-1 Page 4
the feet have direct connection. And the poisons in the system then tend to relax so that there is this giving way. The feet will receive treatment, you see, along with the correcting of the causes in the manners indicated. Do these and we will find bettered conditions for this body.
