1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2589].
3. As we find, there are conditions that disturb the functioning of the organs of this body.
4. These conditions may be called impediments, and - in one form or another - have existed for some time. With the resistance being broken down gradually, they are assuming greater proportions.
5. We find that these began primarily from an overstrain in the body, and a subluxation which existed in the area of the 8th, 7th and 9th dorsals.
6. Then there were those distresses that came from taxation through congestion, and the eliminations being disturbed.
7. By or through the imperfect circulation through the caecum and colon area, as caused by the subluxation, we find that there began the creating of mucous.
8. This formed a character of colitis, which has at times produced a plethora in one portion of the colon and a tendency towards prolapsus in the other.
9. The effects that have been produced through the various stages have been of varied characters. At times, when there has been an upsetting of the digestive system, there have been headaches, sour stomach, the inability of the body to rest well.
10. Reflecting from the nervous pressures that brought about the cutting off of circulation towards the lower portion of body, by the varied periods of the pressure in the caecum area, these caused at times aching feet, a tendency towards a neuritic reaction in the muscular forces.
11. All of these have been varied effects as have been
2589-1 Page 2
produced in the body.
12. In the present these have reached those proportions where there are reflexes to the activity of the liver, gall duct, pancreas and spleen. All of these, and with some reflex in the kidneys. These in the present are rather sympathetic conditions, but have been gradually growing.
13. Then, in making corrective measures, there should be rather the combination of applications for the body; but ALL should be done - or none should be begun.
14. First, have prepared a compound as a tonic as well as a corrective to work with the other administrations which we would suggest at this time.
15. To 4 ounces of Distilled Water add 1 tablespoonful of Strained Honey. Let this come to a boil. Skim, and then after this has cooled - but not cold, add to this as the carrier, in the order named: Grain Alcohol..................1 ounce, Fusion of Wild Ginseng.........1 ounce, (this means a teaspoonful of the Ginseng crushed and boiled in 2 ounces of Rain or Distilled Water, until there is 1 ounce), Wild Ginger..................1/2 ounce, (prepared in the same manner; but neither of these should be the cultivated, you see), Syrup of Rhubarb.............1/2 ounce. Shake the solution before the dose is taken, which would be a teaspoonful twice each day.
16. Begin also immediately with osteopathic corrections, with special reference in the main to the areas indicated - that is, 8th, 7th and 9th dorsals; though, to be sure, there are reflexes in the upper dorsal and cervical areas that must be considered as the corrections are made in the dorsals indicated. Also coordinate occasionally the lumbar and sacral area.
17. It would be better for these to be given in series. First take them twice a week until about ten have been taken. Then rest from them a month, and take them again for an equal number; keeping up the tonic throughout the period, and also being careful of the diet - as we will indicate - which will aid eliminations.
18. Have at least three to four colonic irrigations, professionally given. These should be at least two to three weeks apart, but continue to have these so long as there is the indication of the mucous accumulations in the areas of the ascending colon. Hence if it is necessary to have more than the three to four colonic irrigations, do so.

19. Then as to the diet:
20. Keep away from too much fats.
21. DO take a great deal of fresh and raw vegetables, as well as cooked vegetables of all natures.
22. DO NOT take fried foods to any excess.
23. DO have plenty of citrus fruits of all kind and citrus fruit juices, though many of these will necessarily be taken very lightly until the osteopathic corrections are made so as to cause the better agreement with the body forces.
24. Do these and we will bring better conditions for this body, [2589].
25. Ready for questions.
26. (Q) What causes great dizziness when lying down or trying to get up? (A) As indicated, the reflex to the liver, kidneys, and NATURALLY making the circulation change suddenly produces dizziness.
27. (Q) Pains in back, especially in lower left spinal tract, a tendency to lumbago? (A) From the pressures as indicated that are a part of the general condition.
28. DO that suggested. Do them all, consistently, persistently.
29. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file [Question answered without being asked: How should I treat the rather chronic intestinal disturbance, centered in region of colon?] (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for one who prepares the Compound, extra sheet for the Osteopath, also for the Physiotherapist who is to give the colonics. Let us know the name and address of the one you choose, so we may ask him for a report at the proper time.)
