1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2596].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better physical functionings.
4. We find that these may be ENTIRELY relieved, and the body function in a perfectly normal manner.
5. These have to do with the nerve forces of the body, and the assimilations which have taken place in the body.
6. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2596] we are speaking of, present in this room:
7. First, in the blood supply - as to its pressure, as to its balance in red and white corpuscles, we find that this varies considerably. However, this does not arise from organic disturbance but functional reaction and the inability of that assimilated to supply energies in the blood flow. Thus the hemoglobin changes, according to the period or cycle of functioning through the system.
8. This condition is of such a nature, then, that the pressures in the cerebrospinal system - between the centers of the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic - cause a neurotic reaction, or a sympathetic reaction; so that the outside influences, the environs and surroundings oft have much to do with the physical reaction.
9. The nerve tensions having been under special strain, with the lack of the vital reactions in the glandular forces of the system to supply the nerve energies, it becomes an impoverishment of the nerve plasm of the system itself.
10. These bring about those periods when there are those reactions of nervous indigestion, the very DETERMINED and
2596-1 Page 2
very DEFINITE pressures in those areas at the base of the brain finding expression through the lobes themselves of the brain, through which impulse to reflexes of the system react.
11. These are the reflection in the body. Tiredness, shortness of breath may at times also be a reflex action from these. These have not taken on those proportions as to where it has become a sclerosis [cirrhosis?] or a hardening in the liver area from the lack of secretions there, and thus lacking in its supply to the nerve plexus and the ganglia along the system; yet these may recur to such an extent that unless corrections are made in the present these might come about - or they might turn into a reflex to the LYMPH - and this becoming involved produce an inflammatory reaction in the muscles and tendons of the extremities. Tiredness through the lower limbs and a heaviness between the shoulders at times occur in the present, but these are merely the attempts of the nerve forces in the sympathetic system to WARN the body as to there being disturbances in the system.
12. Organically the reflexes in brain forces are good; sympathetically they react in the manner that has been indicated.
13. Know that each portion of the system manifests or acts in cycles of reaction; just as the gastric flow in the digestive system, with the entrance of certain characters of food, certain juices are necessary for the assimilation and the system attempts to produce same. The same is true in the nerve energies, in the ganglia along the cerebrospinal system, as well as in the sympathetic ganglia.
14. As has been indicated, the greater pressure exists in those areas where there are the greater connections between cerebrospinal and sympathetic, or the vegetative - or the 3rd and 4th cervical; also in the 4th lumbar, or the pelvic axis. The pains or pressures or heaviness across this area at times is the attempt for the system to warn the body.
15. Then, in making corrections - or in making for those reactions to be beneficial to this body; two courses or sources of activity should be the reaction:
16. Begin with the mechanical adjustments, osteopathically administered; not too deep but as a relaxing treatment, gently given, throughout the whole of the cerebrospinal system; with specific reference to those areas in the 3rd and 4th cervical, with the 1st, 2nd, and of course sympathetic reaction to the 3rd and 4th dorsal, and the lumbar axis - and through the sacrals.
17. DO at least once a month give the feet and the bursa in
2596-1 Page 3
the feet treatments also, to relieve the tension which has existed.
18. Take series of these adjustments, you see; twice a week until at least ten have been given, rest at least three weeks from the treatments. Then begin again and have another series of fifteen - these taken, toward the latter portion of same, once a week. Rest then for a month. Then take another series.
19. Also prepared two solutions to be taken internally. Prepare in this manner and keep separate until ready to be taken:
20. Add 1 grain Chloride of Gold to 1 ounce of Distilled Water.
21. Add 2 grains Bromide of Soda to 1 ounce of Distilled Water.
22. Twice each week, preferably on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when ready to retire - take 1 drop of the Gold Solution and 2 drops of the Soda Solution in half a glass of water.
23. Throughout the period be mindful of the diet. For this body the diet should be MOST specific and most closely adhered to.
24. These are the DON'TS: DO NOT take carbonated waters or drinks of ANY character. DO NOT take any drinks the basis of which is from hops or from yeast.
25. BUT DO take as much of those juices that carry B-1 Vitamins, and ALL of the B, K and G; or these: Fish, fowl and lamb, liver, chicken liver, goose liver, calves' liver, should be taken once or twice a week. Have plenty of carrots cooked AND raw.
26. No fried foods.
27. DO take a green raw salad at least once each day. This may be taken with oil or mayonnaise dressing, to suit the taste.
28. For breakfast alternate between cereals and citrus fruits, but DO NOT take the citrus fruits AND cereals at the same meal. Change these from period to period, see?
29. These, with the osteopathic manipulations, with the Gold Solution, will bring NORMAL forces for this body.
30. Do that.
31. Ready for questions.
32. (Q) If I follow these directions, how soon should I see improvement? (A) There will be improvement in the first ten treatments. But do not stop when there is the rest period from these. Continue with the diet as well as with the Gold-Soda Solutions, and have the second and third series of the osteopathic adjustments in the manner indicated - if the body would become normal.

33. (Q) Is there anything organically wrong with me? (A) As given, not organically - rather the functional disturbance and the nerve system being overtaxed. Do as has been indicated - we will bring NORMAL forces for this body.
