1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '40 - some changes - '36 - yes, anxieties with activities - '34 - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we are given records here of that entity now known as or called [2599].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these are chosen with the desire and purpose that this be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling it to better fulfill that purpose for which it entered this experience.
5. Know that one's manifestations in the earth are not by chance but a fulfillment of those purposes the Creative Forces have with each individual entity.
6. For, the Creative Influence is mindful ever, and hath not willed that any soul should perish, but hath with every temptation prepared a way, a means of escape.
7. Thus the very fact of a material manifestation should become an awareness to the individual entity of the mindfulness of that influence of Creative Energy in the experience.
8. Then, as to the abilities with this entity - magnify the virtues, minimize the faults - not only in thy judgments of others. For with what judgment ye mete, it will be meted to thee again.
2599-1 Page 2
9. Thus the purpose of each experience is that the entity may magnify and glorify that which is good. For, good is of the one source, God, and is eternal.
10. Then as an individual entity magnifies that which is good, and minimizes that which is false, it grows in grace, in knowledge, in understanding.
11. Know that in the manner ye mete, or do to thy fellow man, so ye do unto thy Maker.
12. Then let it be from this premise that the judgments and the activities of this entity in this material experience may be drawn as a helpful force in its journey through this particular sojourn.
13. From the sources of the previous sojourns we find urges arising materially in the experience of the entity - that is, from the previous earthly sojourns as well as the astrological sojourns during the interims between earthly manifestations.
14. Not that there are influences from the position of stars, planets or the like that may not be met; but these are as urges - just as the environs of an individual in the material plane produce urges, because of studies or activities in a given direction, and because certain material abilities are innately a part of the entity's experience. Yet urges oft arise in the experience of an entity for this or that, the source of which the entity itself may not understand or comprehend - for no one in the family thought or acted in that direction.
15. Then, this - the environ of the entity, the soul manifesting in the earth - may be called by another name, as with this entity - a part of the present name in the experience before this; and the abilities as an individual to meet others, to influence them in the activities in which certain interests might be magnified, come from the entity's activities in the previous sojourn.
16. Thus the earthly sojourns make for manifested urges in the present experience. Also those planetary sojourns, in this present solar system, make for urges that are accredited to those particular planets as states of consciousness - that become innately manifested in the present entity.
17. For instance, in this entity we find the manifestation of Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Uranus - manifested and latent in the dreams, the visions, the activities; in the high mental abilities of the entity, the ability to reason things through, the stableness of its activity in using not only material but mental forces as an influence to urge others to buy or to be interested in, or to analyze conditions.
2599-1 Page 3
18. Thus in the present, and manifestedly so, the entity might find the abilities as an adjuster, or as an individual to give expression as to evaluation of materials or properties, or abilities of individuals.
19. In Venus we find that appreciation of the beautiful, as related to art, as related to things, as related to conditions in the relationships of groups of peoples one to another.
20. Also from Jupiter we find the association with groups, masses, as a reflection in the activities of abilities, and that in which the entity may apply itself in the present experience.
21. Uranus brings the extremes, in which the entity may rise to great heights of expectation and yet at times find self in a wonderment. Yet innately there are those expectancies in spiritual facts, in the occult, in the psychic forces, that are powers of might for either good or evil. For, as indicated, in Uranus there are the extremes.
22. Know, as from the first premise, that no influence surpasses the WILL of an individual. The power of will is that birthright as the gift from the Creative Force to each entity, that it may become one with that Influence; knowing itself to be itself yet a part of and one with the Creative Influence as the directing influence in the experience.
23. Also the earthly sojourns bring urges through the latent faculties of the sensory forces; or they become characteristics that may be indicated - either latent or manifested - as the power or might manifesting; for only as the entity works with or against an influence does it become magnified in the experiences of the entity.
24. Before this, then, the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, rather than the nativity of the present land - during those periods when there were turmoils from that activity known as the American Revolution.
25. The entity was one employed to induce contributions by the populace to the American cause.
26. Thus that of state craft, things that would have to do with political powers in varied activities, become latent experiences to the entity.
27. In the experience the entity aided much, and brought helpful forces when they were sorely needed.
28. The entity developed through that experience, and yet in the latter portion, seeking for the greater expansion toward the western activities brought disturbances to the entity materially. But these were those sources or forces that bring into the present experience the abilities as a salesman, the ability as a salesman of products of the soil,
2599-1 Page 4
the abilities in judgments as to financial institutions, and the abilities to give the proper evaluations of products, as well as the peoples' abilities in their relationships to things that may be national or international in their scope.
29. Thus, as we find from this, in the present the entity may find associations with financial institutions such as those of the American Maryland Finance Corporation, or the like, may be channels through which the entity may manifest in the present, or with similar financial institutions or groups.
30. The name then was Mellon Norris.
31. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, when there were the expansions included in the building of the empire, after the conquering of other lands; when there were those various groups chosen as emissaries to ferret out the needs and the abilities of other lands to contribute to the needs of the empire as a whole.
32. Thus we find the entity was among those in portions of what is now Abyssinia, Egypt, Alexandria, and that portion of the delta that became a dwelling place.
33. There the entity made manifest the abilities to create unison and peace among those groups that were to be contributors to the financial or material welfare of the empire.
34. Thus we find the abilities manifested materially in the present for the entity to act in the capacity of an emissary for large institutions, or financial standards, or the choosing of conditions in which loans or the like might be made. These as we find, practised, or manifested, may become to the entity in the present the greater outlet for the mental abilities latent and manifested, by the experiences of the entity in that sojourn - as the entity then gained much from those associations in the other foreign lands.
35. The far fields as may relate to consulate activities, then, may become opportunities, or experiences of the entity.
36. In that sojourn the entity was known as Calma Mute. The entity gained, the entity lost. Gained when there were the considerations for the welfare of the all; lost when self-indulgence, self-aggrandizement made for the forgetting of the universal truths that should ever be the experience of each entity, each activity.
37. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those experiences when there was the re-organizing, the re-activity of the Priest with those influences which had arisen through the periods of turmoil and rebellion; when
2599-1 Page 5
there were those attempts for the building to that of re-vitalizing the peoples' associations with the governmental as well as the social and religious influences, by that termed in the present as the ability to fit individuals into the efforts and activities in which they might best adapt themselves - vocational guidance.
38. In that particular field of activity the entity was active in what would be called mining, or the turning of ores, precious metals, stones and various influences into channels to be used as a means of indicating the beauty and yet authority - oft - because of its place or position in the activities of individuals.
39. These, too, may become a part of the experience, or a latent urge, as a representative of firms that may have the various products as peculiar to an individual land. Yet as we find, as has been indicated would be the better sources for activity.
40. The name then was Ila-Her-Mez.
41. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, - that to which it may attain, and how:
42. First, analyze thine own self, and thy hopes and thy desires. Know that they be prompted by the purpose for fulfilling the best that may be accomplished in this material experience; not unto the glorifying of self - for position, for fame or fortune, but as to the glory of the Creative Forces. For, seeking first the kingdom of God, all these things may be added unto thee. For, with what measure ye mete it is measured to thee again.
43. Let the material things be as secondary, then; for He knoweth what thou hast need of.
44. In the field of service as may be represented by the entity's activity as representing large financial institutions that organize for the help to organizations, corporations or the like - as may be indicated by not merely banks but rather the financial organizations for financing those opportunities - there may be the outlet through which the entity may find the expression of self, in which the greater good may be accomplished, materially, mentally, spiritually.
45. DO NOT leave out spirituality in thy dealings with others.
46. Ready for questions.
47. (Q) Being in the Naval Reserve, and having been called back to duty in the Philippine Islands - and having a great desire to remain in the United States - please advise if there is any action I can take which would influence the Navy to allow me to stay here?
2599-1 Page 6
(A) These as we find are as laws. But a service there will be satisfactory, if there will be made connections with such financial institutions as may be represented by the entity, even when filling the duties there. Do not shirk duties, but fulfillthem; with the trust in the spiritual, the mental, the activities in which He hath not willed that any should perish. With each opportunity, then, manifest HIS love, His activity in the earth. Do not attempt to override regulations. DO prepare self to meet the problems in the daily life through financial representation - which ye can well carry to many of the institutions there.
48. (Q) Is there any particular person who could intervene for me? (A) It isn't intervention that is needed; it is rather the making of application to such institutions to be used as the outlets for the abilities which ye know well how to use, and in ways and manners that will be beneficial to all.
49. (Q) Any particular person I should go to, to make these connections? (A) Those in authority in such institutions.
50. (Q) If I must go, how long will I be allowed to remain in this country before returning to the tropics? (A) Three months.
51. (Q) How long will I have to stay in the tropics? (A) Two years.
52. (Q) Regarding my Tung Oil Plantation in Mississippi, - is this a good investment? (A) A good investment.
53. (Q) How can I make it more profitable? (A) Make it come within the services and usefulness for defense purposes in the present situations, as will be a part of those - if presented in those lights.
54. (Q) Is it good for me to return to the Philippine Islands? (A) If there will be the preparation of the body-conditions for such, it should be VERY good. DO overcome those conditions that exist in a strangulation in the gall duct; first by the releasing of same through the application of Oil Packs to the body, see? That is: For an hour each day for a period of three to five days in a series, apply the hot Castor Oil Packs - as we have indicted for these to be used. After each series - not after each
2599-1 Page 7
hour of taking the Packs, but after each series - take internally two tablespoonsful of Olive Oil. Continue this for three to four such series - doing this each week for three to four such series, see? After the first series of using the Castor Oil Packs, begin treatments with a good osteopath; first to relax the body, by three such treatments; then DRAIN the gall duct - osteopathically.
55. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for Mr. Milton W. Harrison, 110 East 42nd St., N.Y.C., or % Commodore Hotel, Washington, D.C.) Copy to Ass'n file (Mr. Harrison's brother-in-law, Mr. Frederick Seiberling, also stays at the Commodore Hotel in Washington. You might find out from him when Mr. Harrison is expected, or else write him direct to NY. Also if you get a chance, you might discuss your Reading with Mr. Dale Parker, Sec'ty-Treas., Columbia Gas & Elec. Corp., 530 Delaware Trust Bldg., Wilmington, Delaware. He has had a Life Rdg., and for years was in South America as a representative of the Texas Company. See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Castor Oil Packs. Also see extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for osteopath. If convenient, we'd suggest that you go to Dr. Lulu Irene Waters, 1707 Columbia Rd., Washington, D.C., who has had experience with following the Readings - and she can repeat the directions to another osteopath in your vicinity if it is not convenient for you to go to Washington for treatments. Please let us know how you get along.) ng.)
