1. HLC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '37 - changes in environs - '31 - anxiety - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2636].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records here, these we choose with the desire and purpose that this be a helpful experience for this entity; enabling the entity to better understand self and to fulfillthose purposes for which it entered this sojourn.
5. We would - as should the entity in its dealings with its own problems, in meeting the joys and the sorrows in this experience - minimize the faults, ever - in others, in self; magnifying the virtues, in self, in others.
6. In giving the urges that are latent and manifested, these as we find are indicated as the activities through the material plane in the varied appearances and the astrological aspects viewed from a composite angle:
7. One oft considered by self as very daring, and as one that is not always as consistent as it might be in its promises to itself and others. This comes from this daring urge that to others may appear at times foolhearted, as
2636-1 Page 2
might be termed.
8. These appear, then, as latent AND manifested from composite urges. And thus from the activities in the earth and from the astrological aspects these may be viewed in a manner in which the analysis may be made, so as to arrive at decisions within self.
9. For, know that no urge - either from an astrological aspect or from activities in the material plane - surpasses the will of an individual entity, if there is to be growth in fulfilling its purposes in the earth.
10. Astrologically we find Venus, Jupiter and Saturn and Uranus as a part of the latent and manifested urges.
11. We find abilities in mechanics arising from the Uranian and Venus aspects. Thus, that the entity chooses to do it may do well. That the entity loses interest in, it forgets very easily, no matter how great its beauty or its impelling influence. These are the extremes in this experience for the entity.
12. In Jupiter we find the universal and the benevolent influence - and thus things or conditions in which there is the involvement or the concern of the lives of others are the channels through which the entity may find the greater expression in its daily activities.
13. Thus many, as well as the entity itself, may depend upon - or necessarily depend upon - the very activities physically AND mentally of the entity through this sojourn.
14. Hence, as will be found, the entity's dealing with THINGS affects the lives of others, rather than dealing with lives affecting the lives of others.
15. We find in Saturn that discouragements easily arise in the experience at times; the determination to be or do, and yet losing the purpose before the activities have reached that as desired. Thus the entity becomes at times too easily discouraged.
16. As to the appearances in the earth - not all may be indicated in the present; yet these indicate the urges latent and manifested in the present - and that may be a part of the experience in the next few years. For, in another year the entity should have reached a definite decision as to its activities and relationships, that should stabilize the entity in and throughout this experience.
17. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those first settlings in this land; of the group that settled in that area now considered as the place of the Lost Colony, or the lost activity.
18. The entity was among those that finally persuaded the groups (though among the younger of the groups) to leave the
2636-1 Page 3
place for the seeking of greater security, or greater opportunity for security.
19. Thus we find a latent fear of changes in its activity, in its relationships to things or peoples; and still the determination to venture, when deeper consideration at times should be given to the stabilizing of its mental, material and spiritual relationships.
20. The name then was Henry Desmond.
21. Before that the entity was in the English land, in those periods when the activities were for the great defense of the land against the Northman or Norman legions.
22. The entity then was one set in the activities for mechanical manner of defense - as in the ability to hurl stones, or to set traps, moats and the like.
23. Hence those things having to do with activities of a mechanical nature are those in which the entity may find the greater outlet for its abilities, and the satisfaction of a work well done; as in those things having to do with power, influence or force as may be applied for beneficial (or detrimental) influences in the experience of man.
24. The name then was Duxeron. The entity gained. The entity brought periods of activity that made for defense in relationships to groups and to masses, but through THINGS rather than as a leader himself.
25. Before that the entity was in the Arabian or Persian land, during those experiences when in the "City in the hills" there were those establishments of relationships as a center for the activities of the peoples from varied lands.
26. The entity then was among those that enabled the leaders there to set about the preparations for means of care and attention; thus, as one who aided in the designing of the excavations for storehouses, warehouses as would be termed in the present, and those places of medium of exchange for the various groups.
27. In these activities the entity made material gains. Only did the entity begin to gain in its mental and spiritual life, in any appreciable way, when there were those disturbing forces that arose in disputations - which called for the necessity of activity in the mental and spiritual.
28. The name then was Esdraz. In the present, those activities in which there are the preparations for plants, for places, for homes, for warehouses or the like, become an outlet for the entity.
29. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there were the rebellions in the land.
30. The entity was among those very close to the King's
2636-1 Page 4
brother who led in a rebellion called the Ibex reaction.
31. There the entity gained when there were the restoration activities, through bringing a better relationship to the varied portions of the land, by indicating to those in authority the needs for preservation of the influence and power of the various portions of the land to unite same as a whole.
32. Thus may the entity in the present - when there is the realization that mental and spiritual forces must be the basis for the material gains - find the greater periods of satisfaction, in which the entity may make its greater contribution of its efforts in the material plane; for home, for country, for peoples - but THROUGH things.
33. In that experience the entity was known as Is-Tek-Le.
34. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, - that to which it may attain, and how:
35. The abilities for purposes are latent - tendencies are manifested. These we have indicated. Thus there needs be the greater stress by the entity on self-analysis of purposes AND ideals, and the choosing of that it will make as its ideal, spiritual, mental and material.
36. THEN - making this decision - budget the time, budget the purpose. For, there needs be with this entity, more than most, the setting of itself to a routine; so many hours for labor, so many for recreation, so many for recreation for the spiritual, the mental and the material things.
37. And study to show thyself approved unto that ideal ye choose, rightly dividing the words of truth, keeping self from condemning others - and ye will not condemn myself.
38. Ready for questions.
39. (Q) For what purpose did I come into this earth at this time? (A) To finish many of those things ye started and didn't finish!
40. (Q) What is my life's work? (A) Dealing with things that have to do with the supplying of defense, the supplying of activities for others. In the fields as of ANY nature that would deal with mechanical or electrical or machinery activities, the entity may find the greater outlet for its abilities. That which requires that the entity stick to a thing, and budget its time - not to become just mechanical, but to deal with every problem in life as with the principles of the law of cause and effect.
41. (Q) I am now working at the Norfolk Navy Yard. Is this well, or should I seek employment elsewhere? If so, whom should I contact, and what specific employment should I seek? (A) Be well to stay there. To seek employment may upset the whole applecart in the present!
2636-1 Page 5
42. (Q) Is cable splicing a good trade for me to take up? If not, what would be a good trade for me to take up? (A) Anything that would have to do with the electrical activity, or electrical welding.
43. (Q) Please give me my seal. (A) This may come later, not here.
44. (Q) Please tell me what my hobby should be. (A) The making of things that are creative in their nature. Some mechanical activity of some nature.
45. (Q) Where and under what conditions have I been associated with my wife [2376]? (A) In the experience before this, as well as in Egypt. Not so good in the experience before this, but wonderful in the Egyptian experience!
46. (Q) My daughter, [2942]? (A) In the English period, as well as in the Persian and the Egyptian.
47. (Q) Is there any advice for me regarding my daughter, [2942]? (A) This should come rather from the direct activities for the daughter itself. There will need to be great consideration given; otherwise there may be problems with self as respecting activities later.
48. (Q) Should I attempt to buy a house (home) or land now? If so, where, and how can I arrange to finance it? (A) In the beginning of next season - that is, this season - next year, we would begin. But we would have a place where there may be foods raised in same. Hence the choice should be made in those connections where such could be the more easily done. And if there is the preparation made between now and the first of the year, this may be easily financed.
49. (Q) Is there any definite way I can help my father [...] at this time? (A) Only in keeping in the better contact with same. This is the better manner, as we find. As to advice or counsel, in regard to ways in which there might be help - you are more of a problem to your father, than the father to thee!
50. (Q) Please give me some spiritual advice that will enable me to understand myself and my relationship to my country and fellow man? (A) Read these things that we have been indicating - as to how the individual entity has met the various problems in the experience, and ye will understand thyself. Know that in same ye have oft allowed the desire of the moment to overcome the spiritual life, or to overcome the trust in Him from whom there comes all peace and harmony and security.
