1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [2639].
3. While there is some understanding as to the pathological conditions, there is NOT being taken into consideration the highly emotional nature of the body. And true, it is understood from this acute reaction, there is danger in the mental reactions - or of the mind "snapping," or the nerve of the reactory forces, or reflexes in brain being involved.
4. We find that these would be the more helpful manners of consideration:
5. Use a hypnotic rather than the narcotic to quiet the body. As there is the gradual reaction from its use, taper off onto bromides. These both, surely, must be given under the direction of a physician.
6. Massage with rub alcohol on back of neck and spine to keep down temperature.
7. The magnetic vibrations, as might be given by the one giving the rubs, would be quieting to the body; this application being made through the solar plexus to the cardiac portion of the stomach itself. This done twice a day will not be amiss.
8. Use only easily assimilated foods; mostly liquids, but let these include the very strengthening blood and lymph building foods - as beef juices (not soups, but juices) and liver juices. Either or both of these would be the more helpful. These we would do in the present. Ready for questions.
9. We are through for the present.
