1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2643].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions as prevent the better physical functioning in the body. These as we find arise from specific disturbances that have upset the glandular system, as related to coordination between superficial and the deep circulation in the eliminating system. There is the involvement of the activity of the lymph and emunctory circulation - or what might be called lymphitis.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2643] we are speaking of, present in this room:
5. The blood supply indicates the manner in which there are hindrances in the circulation as much by the nature of the circulation related to the organs of the body, or the variation that exists at times in the pressure exhibited through same.
6. In the nerve system do we find sources or causes, in structural disturbances that produce this condition which has become involved in this lymph and emunctory activity, and is becoming more so.
7. There are areas in the spinal system where pressures on those centers of coordination between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nerves leave the ganglia so relaxed as to at times fill the superficial areas with the fluids that should be circulated through the system by the very impulse of activity of the circulating system itself. Thus the variation in pressure. Hence the heart, liver and kidneys become involved. These vary as to their activity under varied pressures produced.
2643-1 Page 2
8. As there has gradually grown to be a variation as to the areas affected through the cycle of activity of the organs, by pressures in various portions of the body, we find that the impulse of this fluid reacts either to the feet, knees, hips, abdomen, lung, extremities - arms, face and neck, - any of these, or all of these may be involved at once, with some particular area outstanding, as there is the pressure being carried along the reflex impulse in the areas of the colon and the activity in the coccyx end of the spine, as well as that indicated in the 6th and 7th dorsal in the body.
9. THAT (the 6th and 7th dorsal) was the first area involved, from an injury some four years ago - a wrench or a pressure produced in that area; combined with an injury to the end of the spine.
10. These have been, and are, as we find, the sources of the disturbance. That there has not been greater involvement to the functioning of the organs of the body is an indication of rather the nature or character of the sources of the disturbances to this glandular force as related to the supply of lymph produced in the body.
11. Thus there is indicated a cold area over portions of the abdomen, through the glandular activity of the lymph ducts and glands through digestion. While there is apparently little association of the activity of the nervous system in digestion and the lymph activity in assimilation, we find that these are the sources - and pockets of lymph through the intestines. Thus those times when there is such soreness through portions of the abdomen and the jejunum, as well as the colon itself, in those areas of the caecum, the ascending and transverse area of the colon. All of these at times give disturbance or distress, either at, before or following those changes that are wrought by this accumulation of lymph in any of the areas of the body.
12. Then, in making administrations that would be beneficial for this body:
13. First, let's give that as may aid in relieving the tensions:
14. One hour each day for three day in succession, apply the hot Castor Oil Packs across the abdominal area and entirely AROUND the body - that is, over the abdominal area as well as over the back area. Apply these as warm as the body can well stand. This may give a little distress at the first period. Afterward there will be much ease.
15. After taking the third Pack, on the evening of the third day, you see - take internally three tablespoonsful of Pure Olive Oil.
2643-1 Page 3
16. After resting a day following the series of the Castor Oil Packs - begin then with osteopathic adjustments; with special reference to the coccyx centers and the 6th and 7th dorsal center. Do not attempt to make ALL adjustments necessary at one time, but have a series of treatments to gradually make adjustment.
17. In ten days or two weeks, repeat the three-day series of the Castor Oil Packs - one hour each day, followed by the Olive Oil internally. Continue with these at such intervals until there has been the adjusting of the pressures in the coccyx and the upper dorsal areas, and until the rest of the cerebrospinal system is coordinated.
18. Systematically we would have a cleansing of the colon with the hydrotherapy. Do be careful in the administration of these colonics. Have TWO such colonics in ten days, and then continue these systematically - at regular intervals - until there is no indication of the mucous that will be the natural accumulation from the system by the application of the Oil Packs. But have two during the first ten day period, you see, and then farther apart, as felt necessary by the one administering same.
19. Do these, and we will find relief and GRADUALLY normalcy in these connections returning for this body.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) What osteopath would you recommend? (A) If given here, in Norfolk, we would recommend Richardson or the like - with the hydrotherapy administered by one in sympathy and acquainted with the work itself. Do these - we will bring help and relief for this body.
22. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self Copy to Ass'n file " " Dr. Lulu Irene Waters, 1707 Columbia Rd., Washington, D.C. (Dr. Waters will refer you to an osteopath in Baltimore if it is inconvenient for you to commute to Washington. She also may refer you to a good physiotherapist who will give the colonics. See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Castor Oil Packs.) Packs.)
