1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [2667] who is in his office at ..., Chicago, Ill., and who seeks counsel, advice and guidance as to his mental and material affairs and associations. You will answer the questions which he has submitted regarding these.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [2667] - this we have had before.
3. Many are the changes that have come to the body physically and mentally, and in the associations, since last we had the body here.
4. Well might be said respecting this body, "We told you so!"
5. The seeking through these channels in the present, then, must be fraught with an attitude of dependence or else wholly a disregard of such information.
6. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) Shall I continue with my present business connections? (A) This should and would depend, as we find, upon the abilities of the body to better the connections in directions that would be more in line with that which had followed the body in those periods or days when it may be said that material success was with the body, and the social and mental surroundings were more in accord with the ideas and ideals the body. To be sure, we would not forego nor be relieved of the present connections unless better associations may be had with the former association of the body, or with the ... people that the body represented in this territory so well for so long. In making the approach for such a connection, do not hold self wholly in the attitude that it must be in this immediate vicinity or none at all. While the greater portion of the territory is supplied through these offices, yet there are other fields that may be considered as fertile fields for the carrying on of these operations also, that would facilitate the handling of the products of the company in a very satisfactory way or

manner; as Atlanta, Dallas, Denver or Frisco, or Los Angeles. Making the approach through those same channels in which the body held the connections in the past, as we find, would be the better approach for such; holding to the associations in the present until negotiations had reached the conclusion, or to such conclusions, as to warrant the change to be made public, or notifying the connections of the change in associations.
8. (Q) When should I attempt this? (A) Immediately.
9. (Q) What recommendations will improve my present business connections and financial condition? (A) Under many considerations, now, may such be considered. Considering from the standpoint of the present associations, also from the standpoint of the change in connections or associations, we would find that if the policies were put more into effective and effectual activity that were so apparent in the activities of the body some four to five years ago, these would bring about betterment in the material sense; betterment also soon in the financial associations and connections. In reference to those attempts to hold the equity in the properties that have become endangered by the activities, in attempting to launch out for self in manners that brought about much of the contentions that have arisen in many circles in the last few years, these might be reduced to the minimum of the expenditures that may be set aside in each month, or each given period for the reduction of this, and - as we find - be handled in a satisfactory manner. This may be done through the associations in the loan companies or the re-financing corporations.
10. (Q) Would I benefit by making a change from the textile lines to the metal lines? (A) We do not find it so. This must be determined within self, however; for if the body will review the associations of self that have been builded in the experience of the body, it would be seen that such would be almost like comparing an ice worker to a steam fitter.
11. (Q) How soon will conditions change for the better for me? (A) As soon as he sets about to do something to make them change!
12. (Q) Why have I been compelled to go through such misfortune in the past three years? (A) This, as we find, will entail much of that which the body has preached and practiced. As should be known, and as has oft been given by the body, we live, we move, we have

our being in Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. That which is in the material world is as lent us of the Lord. When we are in His way and are then in straits, we know sin lieth at the door. "Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers" may well be called that period, that set about, the initiation of the body mentally, as it were, into the ministry of that which has been the tenets (if not the practice) of the entity for so long. Then know that if self is kept in the right way He WILL provide. "The silver and the gold is mine, saith the Lord. He that abideth in me shall not want, neither shall there come that upon him that I will not provide with same the way of escape." Turn ye closer to that ye have professed, and practiced (in a manner), and ye shall see in yourself, in your associations, the GLORIFYING of that thou hast held as the ideal - and hast fallen somewhat short in the applications of same.
