1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '40 - changes came - '39 - '38 - preparations - '35 - change in environ - '34 - " etc., on back to birth date.) [See 2681-1, Par. R1.]
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2681].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records, much is indicated here. We choose that in a purpose and manner that it may be a helpful experience for the entity.
5. While faults and failures, while good and bad may be indicated, there is the ever present manner in which that which has been destructive may be turned into constructive influence in the experience.
6. There are quite the contradictory forces and influences indicated astrologically. These, however, are urges, and there may be the application of the spiritual forces in such a manner as to make those things that might be hindrances as steppingstones for greater creative influences in this experience.
7. While in giving these there is the attempt to minimize faults and to magnify the virtues, we find that the faults indicated are to the purpose that these may be corrected rather than expanded upon in the experience and
2681-1 Page 2
relationship.
8. In considering the urges from a composite as indicated in the astrological and material sojourns, remember that indicated - that these may be builded into steppingstones rather than stumbling stones.
9. There is indicated in the characteristics of the entity the tendency to entertain much that he would never like for others to see in himself. Thus there may be the appearances of being double-minded. Not that the entity is wholly hypocritical, but if the thoughts were at times construed by others he might be considered so.
10. There is the desire or tendency to love to read. This should be expanded upon.
11. There is the tendency towards that which is mystical or of an unusual nature or character. These are well, but should be based much more - not necessarily upon theological or philosophical subjects, but - upon truth, sincerity, honesty in the dealings with whatever may be the subject concerning which information is being sought.
12. Remember, while the unusual may happen, this may oft be coincidence; but spiritual intuition, spiritual understanding may bring much more of the unreal to a materialistic mind.
13. The entity very probably will never marry, though this probability is far from those ideas that he would like to convey to others.
14. There is not the desire for travel, to any great extent. This, however, will be forced upon the entity - unless there are changes that are not indicated in the urges, and these removed from the environs of the entity.
15. Remember, these urges given are latent and manifested. As to whether or not they become materializations depends upon the manner in which the entity uses its opportunities, its environs, and what it does about its understanding of spiritual truths.
16. The astrological aspects we find indicated in Mars, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. Thus we will find that the entity is able to make itself felt in any environ. As to what others may think is indicated in that given as to the impressions the entity leaves upon others. It is not what one thinks or would have one believe that one thinks, but it is what one does that counts. For, remember - what you are speaks so loud, others seldom hear what you say!
17. In Mars we find the executive abilities. Thus, in whatever line of endeavor the entity might engage, or in whatever activity he might undertake, the entity might, he could, he WOULD make a success - if he chooses to do so and
2681-1 Page 3
makes some reverses in opinions formed.
18. Should the entity EVER marry, make those convictions such that many of those ideas (and thought to be ideals) are done away with, else such relations will bring miserable results in the experience.
19. The influence of Jupiter with Mercury indicates the high mental ability and the ability to make the kind of impression the entity desires to make upon others. But are these ideals or are they masks of thy real self? This the entity can best determine by analyzing as to what ARE the ideals of the entity.
20. As to the appearances, which bring the emotional influence into the experience - which, as we have indicated, is a part of the entity's character, or self, - we find that the entity is very capable of putting on a show. But let it be rather that which is the REAL self, and not that just for others to see.
21. All of the appearances may not be indicated here, but these we give indicate the manner in which the emotions arise:
22. Before this the entity was in the land then called Dearborn. From there the entity, with those periods of activity in which there were the upsetting conditions, turned towards the South; becoming a "character" in the establishing of those activities about what is now Nashville, Tennessee.
23. There the entity was among those frontiersmen; acquainted with those who became the first governors of the land, and associated with the Indian activity and those influences about same.
24. Then in the name Frederick Kirby, the entity was associated with Houston, as well as an acquaintance of Boone and of those people of that period; this coming, to be sure in the middle and latter part of the entity's sojourn.
25. In that experience the entity gained throughout; venturesome, doubtful, able to deceive or to obtain information by the very activities as needed. These may be well, and may be applied not only for material successes but for mental and spiritual gain - if the ideals of such are carried to their better portends in the experience.
26. Before that the entity was in the French land, during those periods when there were the activities in the land for entertaining Charles the Second.
27. There the entity was associated with many of the companions of that ruler, and later the entity became an associate of the ruler. Thus the intrigues, the unseemly, the unusual, form a part of the background in the emotions
2681-1 Page 4
of the entity through the present experience. The desire to read of anything pertaining to detective or unusual associations in such activities becomes a part of the urge. As to whether these become steppingstones or stumblingstones depends upon that the entity chooses as its ideal.
28. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were the expansions by those activities of the various groups that united to add to man's understanding of the Creative Forces, as might be applied through the mental AND the material things in the relationships of one to another.
29. Thus, when there were those activities in which there was the forming of groups for special design or determination, the entity was in the activity or the capacity as the overseer for those that had to do with the soil, as well as those having to do with the granaries - or the protective forces for the preservation of foods and supplies to the peoples of that period and day.
30. Hence, the experience as a storekeeper, or the activities in which there is the government intervention, may be had as a part of the present sojourn. Or, in whatever field of service the entity may choose, there may be brought - as in that experience - the acquaintance with all forms of activity, or may bring the entity into those relationships and actions that may bring the better channel for the outlets of the abilities, and in the establishing of the ideals in its relationships to its fellow man.
31. As to that to which the entity may attain, and how:
32. First, analyze thine own self. Know as to what are thy ideals. Know what ye believe and the author of that ye believe, and as to whether that is able to keep whatever may be committed unto it against any experience.
33. Thus found thy ideals in spiritual things. Though there is the mental and the reason, and there are the material needs, the supply must come from the spiritual undertakings.
34. Ready for questions.
35. (Q) Why do I feel such a desire for an active future with the Ku Klux Klan? (A) Those ideas as formed in relationships to others of different races in the experience just before this.
36. (Q) What should be my attitude and activities regarding this organization? (A) This must depend upon what is thy ideal.
37. (Q) Toward what line of work should my efforts be applied for my best material and spiritual development? (A) That having to do with any government work, or the overseeing of the restoration of storing of food supplies for individuals.
2681-1 Page 5
38. (Q) How may I set about to accomplish this, considering my being in the army? (A) Let the self be applied in those things that will gain knowledge or understanding of the needs of those conditions in the various portions of the relationships and peoples with whom the entity may become associated in these activities. And you'll not always be in the army! That's a mere few years of thine experience! Don't use it as an excuse, but use it as a means or a steppingstone for better conditions and to the creating of better relationships through SPIRITUAL understanding, NOT material gains!
39. (Q) Why do I have a special interest in Indian lore? (A) Did you live with them for four years for nothing?
40. (Q) Do I have any ability for writing stories and poetry? If so, in what manner should this ability be directed to make it purposeful? (A) We would not apply self in these directions until there has been the gaining of a better understanding or interpretation of the spiritual life, else they would become too fantastic and without center or purpose.
41. (Q) What have been the past associations with my father, that we are so often in conflict in our opinions and activities regarding each other? (A) In the experience before this, as well as in the French and English experience, you were upon opposing sides and influences. Thus, while there are the needs for this understanding, there are also the needs for each interpreting the other's abilities in the flesh in this experience.
42. (Q) What were the past associations, and the urges from same, and how may I best use them for mutual development with the following: First, my aunt, [...]? (A) In the Egyptian experience there were the aids working together as companions for the application or the setting of others into their RIGHT niches for their better influences in the experience.
43. (Q) My mother? (A) Both in the Egyptian (as she was your sister then) and in the English. You didn't agree then, but you agreed, or were in association, in Tennessee.
44. (Q) Edgar Cayce? (A) In the Egyptian experience.
45. (Q) Any precautions for this entity regarding influences that might hinder from the mental, physical and spiritual development? (A) There's plenty! Apply that indicated, and study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed,
2681-1 Page 6
rightly dividing the words of truth and keeping self unspotted from condemnation from others or of self.
