This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of February, 1942, in accordance with request made by the grandmother, Mrs. [1391], Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

P R E S E N T

R E A D I N G

Born June 25, 1933, in Spiers Hospital, Greenville, Alabama. Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:25 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Alabama.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how; answering questions as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records of that entity now called [2683].

3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here - in making them helpful for this entity - there are many Do's as well as many Don'ts for those who have the directing of the surroundings and the creating of environs for this entity.

4. For, here we have a supersensitive individual; one who may easily learn to hold grudges and thereby make self very miserable - and not understood by others.

5. Then, never condemn the body when correcting same, but in loving, careful manner indicate the WHY'S not to do this or that.

6. DO indicate to the entity, or body, that when conditions, things, judgments are not understood, it is best to have an understanding AT ONCE and not put it off; else there will be the inclination for the entity to become submerged - and thus have those feelings of inferiority or a complex of its superjudgment as in defiance of others. And this might lead to some disturbing conditions in the better development.

7. Do keep spiritual ideals; not necessarily theological, but love AS manifested in that expression, "God so loved the world as to give His Son, that we through Him might have eternal life." This should not be preached at the entity in an orthodox manner, but rather understood in regard to

practical, livable conditions.

8. While it is the inclination for the entity to be practical, and to be saving, DO NOT allow the entity in these formative years to become pennie wise and pound foolish. While it may bring material security, it may also bring material indifference to mental and spiritual aspects.

9. In choosing the interpretation of the records as we find them here for this body - these we give with the desire and purpose that this may prove a helpful experience for the entity; enabling those about the entity - as well as self, as the life unfolds in its mental, spiritual and material manifestations - to make this expression a fulfilling of those purposes for which the entity entered this sojourn.

10. DO have those colors of blue and white predominant about the entity.

11. DO impress punctuality and sincerity upon the entity; not in a scolding manner but in a loving way.

12. As to stones - the blue or white stone should be as a lavaliere about the body. This is the better form of vibration for the entity, keeping a temperament gentler and more open.

13. Astrologically, we find Venus, Jupiter and Mars as the leading influences; not because of their positions at the period of birth but because of the entity's expression through those activities accredited to the planetary environs - mentally.

14. Then, as we find, those fields of direction that are dramatic - and as a teacher of expression or of dramatics, or even of the dramatic stage - may be channels through which the entity may find the outlet for the greater expression of self; provided these are kept from the import of the lesson of spiritual nature gained by such expression.

15. In Venus will be found the love, yet indecisions; beauty, yet the fear - or the seeking of knowledge of the coarser side also. Thus those necessities for the expression in dramatics for the outlet of the ego, as may be seen from the experiences of the entity in the earth.

16. We find in Jupiter the expressions that may influence great numbers of people, as well as in Mars those that make for the might of power or strength - yet that may be wrecked by the influence as of the expression of inferiority, as to self or in others.

17. Learn, and teach the lesson well to this entity, that each soul has a mission in the earth, and is in expression a manifestation of the thought of God, of the First Cause. Thus all stand upon an equal basis before Him.

18. Then, ye have no right to condemn self or to judge

others.

19. Let all be done rather, then, as an appreciation of the love, the thought as may be expressed in appreciation to that Creative Force called God.

20. And the greater lessons may be learned from His manifested activity in the earth through Christ Jesus.

21. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, - while all may not be indicated here in the present these may be given indicating their effect and that to be met or applied in the earth experience.

22. For, as He hath given, the manner in which ye treat thy fellow man is the manner in which ye treat thy Lord, thy God.

23. Before this, then, the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, during those early settlings of the peoples from the French land in what is now known as Alabama.

24. The entity then was among the household of those who had been in authority, in the political and in the economic manner, that came to the land.

25. This brought material hardships, yet the entity - in the name Renee Unkler - gained through that sojourn; for the closeness to nature brought those expressions or abilities for an activity in which greater expression was found in the outlets when the entity returned to the home land and became a leader in the art of expression and dramatics in the lands about Marseilles.

26. The entity gained, lost and gained. Hence those abilities as a reader, or a dramatic artist, or a dramatic teacher, or a dramatic actress, may be gained from the activities of expression in that sojourn; provided purposes arise from the spiritual sources as prompted from the nature's sources in that experience.

27. Before that the entity was in the Palestine land, during those periods following the persecutions that arose by those in authority over the land.

28. This was in the latter portion of the Disciples' activity, and the entity was more than acquainted with these, and with many of those who knew of the activities of the Master AND the Disciples.

29. Thus the entity finds condemnings ever becoming as personal things, and tends to become closed.

30. Thus the needs - when the feelings are hurt, or when there are condemnations - that the expression be made, not in anger, in the IMMEDIATE; that there be builded not a complex in the very nature and purpose of the entity.

31. The name then was Ruth. In the experience the entity gained throughout. For, there were those adherences to

principles from the spiritual angles. While the material concepts and material angles were oft disturbing, the mental and spiritual kept that balance; which would indicate that in THIS life - especially in the middle and latter portion - great opportunities of material things will be the entity's experience. Be sure these are used to the glory of God, not to the gratifying of personal appetites.

32. Before this, then, the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, in the 'city in the hills and plains.'

33. The entity then was among those of the schools in Persia. Thus the mysteries, mingled connections, mingled clothing even, become as an expression; and there are the needs for keeping close to that which indicates a centralized or crystallized activity or purpose.

34. Those activities brought the entity into the experiences in association with the healing forces, as well as the teachings of those peoples in that particular period.

35. Thus the abilities as an actress, as a writer, a good speaker, an elocutionist; the abilities to write good compositions. These all are a part of the entity's experience, and may find the greater expression in those fields that have been indicated.

36. The name then was Estexter.

37. Before that the entity was in those Egyptian activities, in portions of the Carpathian and Indian activities.

38. The entity was among those who became as converts of those from the Egyptian land, and then came into the Egyptian land for the purposes of directing, of obtaining those abilities for directing others in the own land.

39. Thus the expressions of teaching, if there is the correct directing of the principles of same.

40. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, - these, as indicated, are in the direction of the teaching, the dramatic art, as the reader or the like.

41. The activities depend upon those Do's and Don't's that may be in this period of change that is coming about in the experience of the entity, according to the patience and time that may be given the entity in understanding itself.

42. Let not thy heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in Him - who is the way, the truth and the light.

43. Let thy heart and mind be set on those trusts He has put in thee, and upon the promises of the abiding spirit in and with thee.

45. (Q) Is there any particular school it would be well for her to attend as she grows older?

(A) Any that would lead in the line of those directions she chooses to take - whether it is dramatics, or teaching, or elocution. It will depend upon choices to be made by the entity in the sixteenth or seventeenth year.

46. (Q) Does she have talent for any particular musical instrument? (A) Should be rather the harmonies with the piano, not any special direction. As a teaching or as the prospects of the prodigy on same, no. But as to its beauties, yes - though not as a life work.

47. (Q) What is her aura? (A) This may best be determined by the chart that might be given of same.

48. (Q) What is her seal? and its interpretation? (A) The figure of Mercury would be the seal, and the interpretation - the principles of the MIND as it expands to become the WAY through which the transition from spiritual to material manifestation is indicated. Gold and white, with the shades of blue - as in stars in a crescent above same.
