This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of July, 1927, in accordance with suggestion made by Edgar Cayce himself, and the expressed desire of Mr. [2694].

P R E S E N T

R E A D I N G

Born January 1, 1896, in Norfolk County, Va. Time of Reading 6:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving the time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the Universe and Universal Forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present earth's plane.

3. In entering the present earth's plane, we find the entity comes under the influence of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and the influence of Jupiter with Uranus.

4. In the manifested conditions as appear under these influences, we find one of high mental abilities; yet often governed by love and sentiment, even to self's undoing. Well that the entity apply will's force in these directions for better improvement in own earth's plane development.

5. On that, with influence in Jupiter and Uranus, finds high ennobling influences work often to self's detriment when first appearance is for good. This applies in the life whether social, political, or financial.

6. Well, then, that these conditions - and reasons of same - be studied by the entity, and there will be found that under such influence, or under such association or connections, not well to attempt social or the material benefits from those as were born in July or December - for these are as ones that often prove disappointing to body's association with.

7. In the influences, then, we find:

8. One of gentle mien, yet often very decided in views and in application of those views, tenets or principles, and

though the entity often appears as being led, is rarely dictated to, and is diplomatic in the handling of many delicate situations or conditions. Not as one that is deceitful, or deceiving. Rather one that often benefits others at self's own interest, and at expense of self's own interest.

9. One, then, that is a lover of the beautiful, whether in the material or the spiritual forces, and TRUTH is HONORED by the entity.

10. One that will have the influence in the lives of many, and bring good, will the entity apply self in that direction that is held as the basis of its own development - that is, with power, yet with justice, and with loving indifference often used to give a better understanding to many.

11. As to appearances and the influence in the life at present and to come, there are seen many urges latent as are yet to be centered or directed. Not that the entity is in its action of an unstable nature, yet one that - as is seen and as given - is controlled by many influences, and controls by many more.

12. One, then, that will find much moneys in the control of self, will the entity apply self in meting to others that desired for self.

14. In the one before this we find during that period when the church and state in France was under Richelieu's rule. The entity among those of high church estate, yet one not keeping true to the vows as taken - for with that action of Richelieu there was the disappointment to the entity as to the application of church or its principles in the life of others, and the entity laid aside the red hat often for the clown's cap, and in the urge as is seen - the reverence for the principles of right, yet looking askant often at the actions of others as regarding the tenets PROFESSED; for the entity feels rather than acts in this capacity in the present experience.

15. In the one before this we find during that period when the Roman rule was being used as respecting the stopping of truths or tenets being taught. The entity then the soldier in the court of Nero, and near to that ruler, acting in the later days as the body guard in that experience, for the entity shielded many that were oppressed, bringing rather the better part to those who were being in the way of persecution. Not acting as one not TRUE to the ruler, but rather being true in act and in spirit to the tenets as were acclaimed by the entity. In the urge as seen from this experience, the inmost thought, the inmost reverence for him

who acts and lives for the good of others, and again the ability to show self ready to assist the fellow that others would persecute, would the fellow show self to be right minded.

In the one before this we find in one that was made known in the lands of the day when the entity rose to position, power, wealth, in the name Boaz, and the entity then brought much good to the peoples of that day, especially in the reclaiming of lands for those oppressed, or for those who had lost same, through the laws of redemption of lands that were taken for debt or for the reason of exile, giving especially to the peoples through that offspring that brought David in the land - and the entity gained through this experience, as there was much to the tenets followed, and the expressions of action by the entity through the experience. In the urge as is seen, is that especially toward real estate - for the entity wrote the first advertisement for sale of lands in this age.

17. In the one before this we find in that land when Achilles ruled in the port, and the entity then guided the barque that brought Achilles to the shores of the besieged city, and the entity gained favor, and lost through the mis-application of power given by that ruler. Then in the name of Sansan, and the entity brought good and bad to self and others through the mis-application of power and position, and in the urge as is seen, the fear that those in power will not acknowledge the efforts of the entity. Rid self of such, for in power there is the application of strength. Strength and power are NOT the same. In the application there may power and strength attained from either.

18. In the one before this we find in that land when the division was in the now Egyptian land. The entity then one among those who assisted the king in bringing order out of chaos, acting rather in the capacity then of the go-between between the king and the banished priest, and in the name Aarbio. The entity gained and lost in this experience. Lost through the mis-application of position. Gained in being brought under the guidance of the teacher in the land of the peoples, and then gaining favor with the king. In the urge as is seen in the present, that of the ability to often patch up quarrels, as it were, that are as differences between those of the entity's acquaintance.

19. In the abilities, then:

20. We find these are many - for in the field of lawyer the entity would have done well. In the application of that as Boaz the entity may do better. In either the entity will

find that first self must be conquered, and that the knowledge of self, and the principles of the creative energies of force or power, must be directed in that channel that builds for the betterment of others. Bettering not in the way of lasciviousness nor in the desires of flesh. Rather in the building of that that is as character and personality in others, and in applying these the entity will bring - through those channels that guide the forces of the Universe - those conditions that bring to the entity the knowledge of the life well spent, in proclaiming the day is at hand for all to acknowledge Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, and in that law as was set by Him, give - give - to others that, that each and every man love God - keep self unspotted from the world.

21. We are through for the present.
